Definitely a simple song, but sometimes less is more. I do love the lead parts that got thrown in during the second verse and breakdown. It's just pure rock, not all bands have to play technical stuff to be good. I Prevail has other songs with technical parts anyway, don't judge a band based on one song.
I found you guys about 10 months ago and this was the first song I listened to. I was immediately hooked after, my grandpa died from cancer and ever since then times have been dark. This song has had a huge impact on my life, and I can't thank you guys enough! Have a great day everyone!
TheSilentK 3 np, my great grandfather has cancer and I've been through some shit but music keeps me going so I can try to be a drummer in a band like this
So I hear the guitarline of the guy on the right mainly in my left ear, and the guitarline of the guy on the left mainly in my right ear.... so you guys expect me to put my headphones on backwords?
I find it interesting how some people hate the band just because they're instrumentals are "easy" and "unimpressive". Like seriously, just because they're a screamer band and have lots of rock-ish genre means their instrumentals should display such standards that you guys expect them to show? Give them a break! They're making great music in the end and I'd say for them, being able to play such simple instrumentation while actually making the song sound great is already a big accomplishment. Just appreciate the music and video that they upload. Less you wanna make a video of yourself playing to this song with the fancy playing style, go ahead and prove how low they are if you can.
I honestly would like to know if all the people around here shitting on the way they play or the difficulty of the song are professional musicians living off their craft, because these guys surely are while you're running your mouth on youtube. And I'm not even a fan of these guys, I just came here because I like PRS, but as a semiprofessional musician I hate this way of thinking.
Just had to say... the audio is the wrong way round lol Dylan is in the right channel but sat on the left and Steve is in the left channel but sat on the right haha. Quite confusing
David Fuentes This genre calls for basic work in the instrumental aspect. Go listen to deathcore, a place where you won't need to make an obvious comment like that.
David Fuentes Yes the chord structure may be simpel but you have to be dead precise on the beat or else everything would fall apart so easily when you play live so no, this song not simpel or easy to play at all imo
i love i prevail and i am only 11 i will listen to this song wen i am about to go to basketball and then every team i liesn to this song we win i made the game wining shot ; )
The song is great, however its simplicity doesn't really make it appealing for a playthrough... I would love to see JB, Brent and Dustin from ABR blasting some sick riffs when the new record comes out
Ola Ke ACF it's the hard truth that I Prevail will probably become more popular than ABR just because of their shitty cringe marketing. honestly the worst band I've heard
wor crash Truth is they already are. I Prevail are one of the biggest Metalcore bands nowadays and they've only being around for what, 3 years? I mean, they're not that bad, but they are the literal definition of generic metalcore
I like how the guy on the left places his hand in different shapes on the fret board to make it look like he's not just playing a bunch of power chords lmao
but if you knew what you were actually looking at youd be able to see that hes clearly only using the other fingers for muting, what is what youd have to do unless you want it to sounds like complete shit lol
Do you fell kinda dumb now, Tyler? You should. Perhaps in future, you should educate yourself on guitar techniques before commenting on someone's playing.
Josh Scott well for the record, if you're playing in a dropped tuning like they are here, it's not necessary to mute the g, b, and e strings. ESPECIALLY since he is playing all of the power chords with a downstroke so there is no need to mute those strings, unless you're a really sloppy player. Stop acting like you know what you're talking about.
I definitely agree with your point for some of the hand shapes. Others, the shape he makes with this hand isn't necessary for the purpose of muting strings. My guess is he is a much better guitar player than the songs show and he is just bored because of the simplicity. If I were playing the same thing, I would probably be doing the same to be honest.
this is the most boring playthrough I've seen in a while. The song actually sounds pretty decent but there's nothing interesting about the instrumentation whatsoever to justify making a video about it
