Correct me if I'm wrong but you really didn't lose $13 plus they were thoughtful enough to have cash ready so you gained approximately $7. Hope you have a clean bill of health re your test! You are lucky to have a wife that looks after your health, colon cancer is horrible to go through especially if you don't catch it early.
the shop and pay orders are great because your not running your car, or using any of your own money while your inside walking around shopping ! :) I love them for that reason.
Hi Chuck. Glad the colonoscopy went fine! I ordered doordash for the first time tonight. I am very frugal. but i saw a deal from popeyes for 50% off their new wings. I tipped 3.50 for a 1 mile trip from the store to me. Guy (who was called Jennifer on the app??) Delivered it very fast. No hot bag...did not say 'Thank you for your business and enjoy your Popeyes'.i was very disappointed -- You set a high bar.
@@user-ri5vf8jy9jyes but there are some rules. Basically you're sub contracting to another person...they need to have their own acct themselves, which sort of defeats purpose of being able to subcontract
I had my first complicated customer yesterday. She ordered Sprouts and wanted 4 different bags of nuts that you have to get yourself and weigh 🥴. Sprouts only has the manual scales so I weighed them the best I could. It was a hand it to me. I completed the order and I had a bad feeling about her. Lo and behold … I start getting calls from doordash. I knew it was her. I declined the first 3 and answered the 4th. She said … you didn’t give me one of the nuts. I said yes I did. There were 4 bags in your bag. She said yes but one of the bags did not have the proper amount. I said, I weighed them all on the scale but the scale could have been wrong. She went on and on. Ugh. It was so annoying and I will never take her order again.
I love your dashing videos. They are slightly different from others that I watch which makes them very enjoyable. Done food delivery for close to 30 years, retired now and my knees won't let me do that type of work again. Dashing is much better than the delivery jobs that I have had as I don't have to answer phones, make food, deliver and put up with jerks in mangement. Be careful on the road as I am sure you already know, it's crazy out there.
So glad you placed the pizza on the table instead of an upholstered chair! Boxes aren’t as sturdy/absorbent as they used to be; I’ve wrecked a couple tablecloths with greasy boxes.
Over and beyond the " call of duty " Chuck . I'm glad to see that " financially " it worked out for ya' . I also hope that the " procedure " goes well for ya' Buddy . Keep smiling , till next time .
that gave me a good "chuck"le when you said "Holy Cow" to a cartful of milk...I thought it was punny 🙃 You are the master of one-trippin' groceries!!!! I would take like 4 trips with that many bags! I hope you had a good meal after your procedure....I remember taking my dad to his when he turned 50 and he was starving when I drove him home. Glad the customer paid you back with a little extra. The Dasher app has been acting VERY strange the last three days for me...I even uninstalled it again (I did that like two weeks ago) and re-installed and still having issues. I accepted two offers and it froze, timed out, went on "pause" and so I lost out on those two...and then I declined a $4 offer (which I don't normally take) and somehow it said I accepted the offer so I just ended up doing it.
Hope all went well with the colonoscopy as at 39 I had one done already. Those laxatives and no eating are not fun but when I couldn’t drink water that was miserable. You’re getting better at shopping! Keep up the good work and content!
I don't envy you on the colonoscopy prep. I went through that a few months ago. I think it said it was "lemonade flavored" but it barely even tasted like it.
What a guy buying that cold medicine!!! You’ve got a big heart, BC. 💚 With that sweetened condensed milk it probably scanned the QR code that was above the barcode. I’ve found you sometimes have to cover the QR code. Sending all my best on the colonoscopy. Eeeeeek. 🙏🏻
That was kind of you. I recently did a doordash and she bought a printer and the assosciate tells me it doesnt come with ink. So i messaged the customer we both tried to add it to the order but it wouldnt go through. She asked if I would buy it and shed reimbirse. The store said i was nuts to do that but I said i can always return it if she doesnt. As it worked out she had cash for me and was very appreciative. The ink was 56 bucks which was the same price as the printer. HP should be ashamed 😂
I'm pretty new to spark and inexperienced. I've got to remember while recording today to ask sparkers to explain to me the best way to substitute. On doordash I can force the substitution by saying I have the right item and taking a picture. I don't know how to do something similar with spark.
I tried doing something nice for people twice, and I'm 0 for 2 on getting paid back. Both times were Dollar General (I just realized this... 🤣🤣) and under $5. Once, a guy wanted Gushers candies, but the size he wanted wasn't there, only had a smaller size and it wouldn't let me sub and he couldn't add that size. So I just paid for 2 boxes out of pocket and told him that I paid for it. It was leave at door, so I thought there was no chance. And not only did he not pay me for the candy, it turned out to be a 0 tip order. DD paid me $6 base + peak pay. Another time, a female college student ordered a few feminine products, some personal hygiene stuff, and 2 towels. But they only had 1 of the ones she wanted. It wouldn't let me change quantity to 1. She said if I could figure something out because she really needed a towel. So I refunded her and just bought her the cheap towel that she wanted and told her that I couldn't figure it out so I paid out of pocket. She came out in front of her dorm took her bags and never heard from her again. No good deed goes unpunished I guess. But I did both just to do something nice, I was hoping but not expecting to get paid back. I didn't regret doing it in the end, it's good to do nice things without getting anything in return.
Walmart Spark will only allow similar product/size substitutes but only if a customer has substitutions turned on for the item. We can't add items to a customer's order.
Did you lose that $13? I just could not do that to someone kind enough to pay for me!! I’ve paid items for people, I’ve always been paid back. I hope she pays you! It’s only right! Hope your colonoscopy goes well, mine was perfect last one I had they said no more for 10 years. I hated the process!!
@@DashingAcrossAmerica Thanks. Nothing against you but that's why I don't do shopping orders. I just want to pick up and drop off. Shaw's supermarkets in my area (Northshore, Ma) does the shopping first and then when it's ready I get the offer and I accept. The groceries are all bagged and ready to be delivered. Sometimes I get an order from another place while I am on the way to deliver. I used to shop but one time I was a CVS and I had to wait almost 1/2 hour in line just to get the items scanned.
