Hmmm😂hahaha V8 engine blocks... ok but real strong variants use e31 e32 BMW V12 engine power 5.0 petroil but compact size BMW e46 coupe car . But use V8 engine blocks big size . Ok power good 😎👍 but make front special weld work construction fixsed heawy V8 engines. Weld right and left supension spring. ( Hard cups ) Because according to my experience, I have seen that the structural strength of the E46 bmw bodywork is very minimal. Metals very thin. Not even 2 or 3 millimeters of metal construction. but 1.5 mm metal thickness. Really thin tinned metal. Both lanzoroni brackets of the structure deform under the weight.

Fun fact: BMW M3 GTR actually has a V8 engine in NFS and In real life but they put I6 engine because it was loud and fast

Good looking car i am new here but the engine that was in the m3 gtr was the P60B40 V8 no offense but no claped out LQ9 is gonna sound like that engine you can put all the money you want into the engine it would still never sound like a late 90s bmw V8 the biggest difference size the LQ9 is a 6.0L OHV V8 specifically 101.6 mm bore and 92 mm stroke (364 ci) on the other hand the bmw racing v8 in the race car the P60B40 is a dual overhead cam V8 with 4.0L of displacement with a bore of 94mm and a stroke of 72mm (243 ci) if you see the only thing they have in common is being a V8 🤷🏽‍♂️the tiny LQ9 is gonna have a deep tone because of the bigger 2L size and it’s gonna have a chop sound because pushrod V8s and on the other hand the DOHC V8 is gonna have a lighter tone and no chop because DOHC V8s don’t have chop like pushrod V8s and the big difference between them the power band since the P60B40 is a racing engine it’s gonna like reving high really high i mean compared to the gen 2 LT1 350 and gen 1 gm small block Chevy the LS engines like reving high and don’t make toque until like the upper 4k range the LQ9 likes to rev but does have the same legs as the bmw racing V8 it would probably start getting valve float probably at 7,400 rpm maybe the most accurate m3 gtr sounding wise from need for speed is heat because it actually sounds like a V8 in the game that engine sounds so good i put it in a rocket bunny 240sx 😮‍💨 i get it the racing engine is really expensive but there’s cheaper alternatives like the 4.0L m60 V8 or the m62 V8 which there is multiple versions but are not the same displacement of 4.0 they have tho ,3.5,4.4,4.6 and 4.8 liter V8s if you’re feeling cheeky could get a late 90s m5 V8 these are the closest thing to the BMW P60B40 they came out around the same time and have similar specs to the BMW P60B40 or the early 4.0L from 2001-2005 n62 V8 🤷🏽‍♂️

The Engine that would have been the closest to the OEM racing V8 that was in the original actual car would be the S62 3.9 Liter V8 from the E39 M5. But the closest American V8 is probably the LS in all it's forms. At least size wise even if the displacement is different. BTW Stock "headers" on a engine are called "Exhaust Manifolds".
