😂 I have low porosity hair. I use cloves in a hair oil and concentrate it on my scalp only using an applicator bottle. We can use protein but maybe only twice a month then rinse followed by intense moisture like a deep conditioner. I’ve seen great results from it as well as rice water. It seems to have grown your edges. Also low porosity hair is naturally dry so moisturizing at least once a week is mandatory. I think the problem wasn’t protection overload but lack of moisturizing.

I have low porosity hair and it's not dry at all. I use a steamer while I deep condition every wash day, and after I moisture it I don't have to do anything to it until I wash it again 10-14 days later. I keep it in medium sized twists most of the time, and that keeps the moisture in longer. But my hair's also well hydrated before I put anything on it from my wash day. I've waited 3 days between washing and styling before and my hair wasn't dry at all when I took down my two cornrows it was in. Hydration is key for any moisture retention can happen.

It's so interesting how different everyone is with our hair. I have high porosity hair and my hair loves clove/rosemary water. I too have some breakage that developed because of braiding and I will not be box braiding or cornrolling my hair ever again. I'm in the process of growing my hair and next month I'm gonna try the coffee method to see if I see a change in growth and shedding.

Hi love yes there is a lot of protein in cloves. Btw if you ever get protein overload again use a bentonite clay mask with acv. It will help rebalance your hair. I have low porosity, protein sensitive hair but I still love using cloves I just don't use them in a strong mixture, by themselves or very frequently. When it comes to RU-vid you always have to be careful and do your research for what will work for you. Be careful and happy growing 😁

The problem is when a new fad comes out, people use too much and apply daily. This is bound to have an adverse effect on your hair , especially if it's showing signs of dryness so quickly. It's also meant for your scalp not so much in the hair. I am protein sensitive so I concocted oil based Clove and applied a light amount in my scalp 2 -3 times a week. I still used a moisturiser or oil of choice. Only a small excess of clove oil left in my hair. Once a week after washing and conditioning I would apply when wet a spray formula to my scalp and again a excess small amount to my hair. My hair has really started to grow with this. Another way is to leave it in your scalp after washing for 30 mins to 1 hour then wash out and condition if your too sensitive to leave in. I would apply this method with any fad so it does not get overloaded in the hair. Daily use is far too much for any product.

Whenever I use cloves or fenugreek water. I always add hibiscus flower to it. Hibiscus is loaded with various beneficial ingredients that help to stop hair loss and prevent baldness. Loaded with vitamin C, flavonoids, amino acids, mucilage fiber, and antioxidants, the extract of hibiscus leaves and flowers nourishes your hair, promotes hair growth, and provides a soft & silky texture. Because it contains amino acid, you can do your research with caution. Whenever I do fenugreek, cloves or green tea leave in sprays without hibiscus my hair breaks off. I have high porosity hair, I notice so much difference when I incorporate hibiscus plant. The leaves and flower is so beneficial to the hair. By the way fenugreek contains 23 g of protein per 100g which can cause dry hair. While one cup of hibiscus provide 5g of amino acids. To avoid protein overload from hair teas, I recommend hibiscus in any hair teas. However, carry out your research. Also a great natural emollient is okra.

I use clove with bay leaf but I use it once every three or weeks but I make sure I use my hair oils and butter. Sometimes I just use water in my LOC method. Everything isn’t going to work for everyone. My childhood hair stylist only use rain water and hair grease and her hair is thick, healthy and long. I always tell my product testers to know their hair before putting any hair products. Your hair is growing back healthy

You see...I never said anything about cloves, did I, lol. I'm low porosity as well. You don't have to stay away from protein, you just have to learn what protein to use, and how to use it properly. I use protein in my deep conditioner every 6-8 weeks and it keeps my moisture/protein balance so well that I can tell when it's tine for another treatment because my hair doesn't last feom wash to wash without remoisturizing it. I can go up to 3 weeks without doing anything to my hair but making sure I have my bonnet on when I sleep. But when I need a protein treatment, I'm having to remoisturize around day 6 or 7, and I typically wash every 10-14 days. I use a hydrolyzed keratin protein that's concentrated and you can add to any deep conditioner and use it like you normally would for an intense protein treatment that really works and helps retain length. So do so more research outside of YT about that. Or check out GreenBeauty's YT channel and look at her videos about protein treatments and how to use them as a natural. I learn a lot from her. But back to cloves. Yeah, I told you rosemary water, and you add fenugreek which is cool, but I said NOTHING about adding cloves. When you said it was drying your hair out the last video, I knew you were setting yourself up for failure with the cloves. I use them in my hair butter and that's about it. But I wanted you to see for yourself because it may have worked for you. I doubted it, but everyone's hair is different and responds differently to products. So it's a lesson learned. We all have at least one fail when we're starting out and don't know our hair. But stick to the rosemary and fenugreek. I see a difference in your edges for sure!
@tamithecreator

Not you calling me out 😂 I just wanted to add some pizazz to the rosemary water 😂 Lesson learned!! I’m SO happy now that I know my hair type and I’m happy to know that we have the same hair type. I have screenshots of every comment and every email we’ve sent so I need to go back and read a little slower and try not to remix your routine. I hope you noticed I shouted you out in my last video 🤣🤣 lesson learned but the next thing I want to do is invest in an electric head massager. What’s the name of the one you use? I looked on Amazon and they range from $50-200. I want something that actually works and doesn’t just tangle up my hair. You’re the best Ms. Tennille 🤣

@@tamithecreator I did notice that! Thank you! ♥️ And I absolutely did call you out! 🤣🤣🤣 Pizazz cost you a handful of hair, too. But like you said, lesson learned. I don't have the box anymore and it doesn't have a name on it. Anything more than $30 is a rip off! You know that I'm glad to help love!

I can see the growth on your hair. My hair thinned out tremendously on the right side (low-po.) I started making a tea with dried rosemary, cloves, green tea, and fenugreek seeds. My husband calls it B--t Crack tea because it stinks. I've used it 3 times so far after shampooing, then using a moisturizing conditioner. Hair doesn't shed as much, and has started growing again. Maybe making clove oil might be a better choice. But then who wants to walk around smelling like a just-baked-ham.

Tami, I've been through the same thing. ELIMINATE all those products and ONLY grease your scalp and hair with the WHITE shae butter. The yellow one is raw and unfiltered and from my experience did not add moisture. Those African women with the extremely long hair used some type of paste to grow their hair. We are the same way and also require a healthy holistic paste like substance to moisturize our hair. TRUST that the simplicity of shae butter was the ONLY thing that worked .. It moisturizes for DAYZ. I tried EVERYTHING. Who the heck knew all it took was shae. Add the shae as often as needed.

Hello, I noticed that you are darkened around your hair line where you roll. Can I ask where'd you get your derma-roller and are you using needles or blades...? The reason I ask is because when using a roller on the hair line or anywhere it is important to be extremely aware of the product because there are a lot of fake rollers on the market and one way to tell you have a fake is to actually have a certain amount of unrealistic so called needles and another way is the darkening of the skin color around the area where the rolling is taken place. As a low porosity our hair needs protein because all hair needs the balance now what protein we need and use is the question. Anyway from the before and after you do seem to be having growth but honestly it looks like normal growth. Unless you are a slow grower and that time frame seems like you gained much more than previously than I say keep up the good work. Good luck 👍🏿

I got blood tested just for this and my iron levels were fine, I was lowkey hoping my iron was low so I could find the solution 😭

@@tamithecreator You may need full iron panel, Also in range don't always mean optimal. Also have b12 checked. But I changed my diet and lifestyle so that played a major role for me as well. Best wishes

Hi, hon👋🏽 I was put on iron pills after my doctor told me that my iron was extremely low. I have never had a problem with my edges....EVER. I've always had a full head of edges and I was so grateful. Unfortunately I developed hair loss around my edges (not so much the sides, but the front). So are you saying that my iron pills may help regrow edges? (again, it's not the sides so much, it's the very front of my hairline).

Why are we always in a rush to try every fad that pops up on RU-vid? Looking for moisture for your hair? Glycerin + water, the end. Even aloe Vera juice. Anything else is just an added ‘oomph’

You should have used clove oil.

Wait a minute. After using clove water weren't you oiling your hair???? You have to. You should probably have used clove oil instead of clove water.

You put too much cloves. Only use about a teaspoon. Fenugreek seeds actually have more protein than cloves per teaspoon. By a lot actually

Hey Loretta! Lol I’m glad we both learned about our hair type! So about the micro needling, I didn’t put the link in the description bar because I plan on switching mine. The one I purchased was $10 on Amazon, it does the job in my opinion but I’ve been hearing that it’s not best to use the cheap ones so I’m still doing research. I don’t want to advertise something that might hinder anyone’s growth. I’m still learning myself. With God and patience our edges will grow back 💪💪💪
