Try arka express especially if you wanna run south east you'll get home alot more and make OTR money and you'll be able to get out of those piece of junk freightliners
🚫🚫🚫 Not telling you what to do but I would never get into a trailer with one door open….. It’s so easy to lock you in the trailer with one door already closed especially if they are listening to you walk to the front of the trailer…. It’s over Game Over !!! And it’s nothing you can do about it either , and they can drive off with you back there or go in your truck and rob you … Hope that helps you and anyone else that doesn’t know about this
Open the door, and then lock the lock rods back in the “locked”position with a pad lock so even if someone did try and close the door they cant close them all the way and lock you in the back. A few extra seconds to lock/unlock the lock bars could keep you from being trapped in a trailer.
Pro tip, never tell a company that you quit while out. Always tell them you need to head to the terminal for repairs/service, then get your things out of the truck and leave. Trucking companies love to play games with drivers that put in their "two weeks" and will do anything to keep you out, and force you to abandon the truck so that goes on your record. I've never had this happen to me, but I've seen it happen many times to friends of mine. Edit: Another tip is to always get things in writing. Whether it's promises they make to you or anything. If they tell you something, and you're skeptical of it, tell them to get it to you in writing before you do anything. That way if they try to lie, or "scam" you out of something then you could just pull up the screenshot. This will save for CDL when it truly counts.
The lifestyle of a linehaul professional👀You can stop🛑drop and roll, flip it, hit it and quit it. Then. In the space of 24hrs you land on your feet, back in the seat, in a new fleet and everything is sweet🤙
Hi Nia , sorry you went through all that bs with KLLM , or really the dispatchers ... I always hated quitting, but I'll tell you a lil secret, don't let them you're quitting until you're real close to the home terminal, they'll always put the screws on you ... take a little break , mini vacation maybe and get your idea of next journey going ... Hope you'll still keep sharing videos ... always so beautiful ❤ ..
My Brother drove for KLLM for years before he retired. He said they were much better than most Truck Companys. He even bought 2 trucks and was a leased operator.
Go to Crete!!! They are top notch, maybe I’ll see ya there. Also privately owned! Glad I didn’t get hired on with KLLM but you made it look decent until now. Be safe out there girl!
God bless ya Nia. I was in school when RU-vid recommended your channel a bunch. You were still posting swift stuff subbed and was surprised when I saw you join kllm too. I'm sorry that you didn't get treated right and hope that everything works out much better for you. I've had a lot of take it on the chin moments myself but for now the good outweighs the bad. At least they gave you a truck that wasn't completely inundated with fleas. Me and the dog are gonna have to part until it gets cold it's so bad for us right now. Fleas on crack or something. Make sure you got your pooch very protected cause as I've learned the constant vibration of trucks causes fleas to constantly feed and not sleep...doxycycline on case your joints lock up and ya can't move...seriously it's been hell
Sometimes things happen for a reason so that we don't get stuck and end up overstaying in something that just may not be meant to be! Glad you are aware and know what you will and won't put up with in your career and life. Stay safe and I know you have something in the works so can't wait to see your next video!
Your beautiful as always Nia I must say thanks for the vlog and always keeping your fans informed on what's going during your trucking journey for your humility and humbleness during this time. Stay blessed & God will work in your favor🤞🙏
I quit from KLLM transport lease to own a couple weeks ago because the same reason that you had and more! I bought a new truck with another company I hope see you rolling on again! You took the best decision 🎉! 💪😃
Knowing your worth(Justruckin saying) your driven and keep a strong head on your shoulders. Glad to see your staying positive, looking forward to the next videos.👍
I just quit as well. I quit yesterday and have orientation with a new company on Monday. It’s been a long road to finally get to a place where I feel comfortable enough to move on. But I fully believe this company will run me and my co driver more miles than the last company. Much success to you Nia.
Shania, you are leaving KLLM for all the right reasons. It is professional of you that you aren't bad mouthing them on your way out. Prospective employers will take notice of it. You are a class act and I am looking forward to your next journey❤
Thank you for sharing your experience. I’m working on my CDL and I glad that I can see what to expect in the career field. Looking forward to getting into trucking life .
Theres a lot of companies who will straight up screw a driver over. The industry is toxic asf but theres tons of opportunities and money to be made so you gotta take the bad w the good.
@@philosophicaltrucker9279when I first started offshore my crane operator told me "gotta take the bad with the good"... sound advice I plan on taking into the trucking industry soon.
Hello Nia, As someone who worked with logistic companies, I can honestly say is to keep pushing. Never give up and understand it is a doggy dog world with trucking companies. I can say your skills would be a asset no matter where you go.
I understand why you're leaving, as a truck driver in NZ I'm always amazed at how much job hoping there is in the US mega fleets. It seems 12 months in one place is a lot
bro, she's on her 3-5th dispatcher, obviously it's her that's the problem, and they repowered her load giving her an empty, meaning she wasnt going to get it there in time and probably has issues with her scheduling. It's her, not them.
@@PringlesCan-y7m no she said it was going to be on time until it got repowered, not her fault at all. Her first dispatcher was only assigned to new hires for 30 days. Get your facts right
@@DaveG7920 hey, simp if you want, if that's your thing, but if the load was on time then why would they repower it and give her an empty. it's pretty obvious she's just trying to paint a pretty picture. I'm sure the pissed of dispatcher that had to snap at her to shut up like she was an entitled toddler would tell us more of a true story.
Good call.. some people don’t realize when it’s time to roll so they keep putting up with the bs. Your very intelligent so I know your next move will be even greater queen stay safe
Sorry to hear about your situation, I used to clean my trailers out the same way if there was no blood in them . Hopefully if your still going to be in Trucking you find a good home that treats you right .
You do what best for you. Don't care what people say are do. That's your life . Best wishes . I hope that you keep the video I have watch every last one.
3:56 made my stomach drop. When you go in the trailer like that I hope you at least bring a cellphone with you. My worst fear cleaning out trailers was that the wind would blow the door closed or someone would come up and shut me in there 😂😂. I'm gonna invent an emergency release for trailer doors just incase that ever happens. Word up if it saves even just 1 life it would be a success in my book
Love your videos. Whenever you get the chance try using this technique for tandem sliding. Subtract the trailer weight from the drive weight. The difference will be the number of holes you adjust. Since your trailer is 34960 you can round it up to 35, your drive says 32040 so that can stay at 32. 35-32=3. 3 would be the amount of holes you adjust. If you’re reading this, humor me and try it out yourself.
Your mental health is way more important than any job ever will be, proud of you for doing what's best for you, can't wait to see what's ahead for you ❤️
It’s not that mental health is important. It’s obsessive work culture and you are a wage slave to corporate america. The usa is a nice piece of land sadly designed to favor white baby boomers who are sucks to the system.
The reason they tried this is because they're used to other drivers having no spine and letting them get away with BS. Im happy you stood on 10 and didnt let them try to h03 you
Oh wow! Can't have no one messin with the bag! Hopefully you'll get paid. Gotta find that right fit in this industry. Keep truckin, be safe out there 🙏 🚛 💨
I love your videos and im glad you are doing what is best for you ..This life is your path your journey..just want to say thank you for allowing the fans to tag along ..
I love seeing your video it's make my day do what you do it takes a lot of time and guts to do what you do your a very pretty lady May God Bless you and keep you safe 💖😘
Focus on YOU. Make YOURSELF your own mental point of origin. What can you accomplish NOW with what is in front of you? What can you get the ball rolling on? I wish you the best in this new chapter!
First 2 months there is cool everything seems chill then... Attitude changes they blaming you for their mistakes and you gotta watch you pay or they will F U. after year contract is up imma move companies
I loved driving for freymiller never had any problems and if I had any questions or concerns about a load they answered me right away great company i would still be there if not for my girlfriend at the time we were going to travel so thats what im doing but i do miss it
Rule of Thumb : Trailers with the 6” gap between them just like that trl are 500 a hole . Trailers with holes that’s like every 2-4 inches are 250 a hole
I don't have that problem pull tankers locally night shift and I NEVER cross an open scale but not everyone is that fortunate so yeah I'd re weigh the truck.
Great video, I started driving in 2010, took me couple different tries to find a good place for me. Think and stay positive, you'll find the perfect place when it comes along. Stay safe out there!
As a Scorpio, soon as I'm done having fun with it I'm done with it. I stopped trucking because it's so much stress. But I'm glad you are able to capture these wonderful memories and share them with us. Best of luck on your new endeavors ❤
You're a strong woman my friend. Only you know what you're looking for never settle for anything less. I'll be looking out for your next video. Keep on Truckin..
I hope you really look into Great Lakes Cold Logistics and Decker truck line. You are to good to go anywhere where you won’t be appreciated. Stay positive and don’t sweat the small stuff. Stay blessed.
I definitely feel your frustration for sure and I’ve had the same issue with pay a time or two. I’ve gotten to the point where I’m about to quit too. They’re a great company just very irritating with how they run loads and etc 😂🤦🏾♂️
Soon you will realize there are problems no matter where you go. You’ll see the same issues in varying degrees. Some companies always pay you but their equipment will be crap. Some will always pay but their dispatchers suck. There’s always something.
You have to do what's best for you. I want to say, you have some mad skills handling that truck. Your backing skills are 💯 % on point. Great job young lady . Peace ✌.
We all have different priorities you doing what is good for you. God bless safe travels. Just talk about what is current to you like we are there with you.
So.......as a professional truck driver with over 35 yrs in this business and having been around trucking since i was born due to my grandfather and his brothers being in the business for 52 yrs wayyyy back in the day i must say there are a lot of boo boo kitties on here making comments in support and i can tell by reading not many of yall have much experience in this industry. I will say its an interesting new breed of truck driver out here today. My advice would be I'd like to see you paying more attention to driving the truck while youre driving the truck instead of interacting with your camera while talking. Not only is it illegal but its dangerous. Stay safe. Be smart. Best of luck to you and all your followers. I'll check in from time to time. Yeah I know. Im old. Lol. Old school truck too learned on a twin stick mack single stack no air ride no air ride seat and no power steering. Lol drive an 18 speed pre emissions Pete 379 EXHD now. She most likely will be my last truck.
im sure I've seen that truck in Morrow when I was there. Im sorry things didn't work out for you with them, but I will continue to watch your vids. Best of luck to you
Ya I always reweigh. I trust actually weighing over number of notches that can be wrong easily. Would rather spend two minutes weighing than a possible ticket
Hi i hope ALL turns out well for you and you never let people mess with you getting your money. If they trip? Get your bag somewhere else boo. You got this! Your video's helps me to continue to enjoy each day one day at a time. Much Love😊
Again love your channel trust me might take you few go arounds to find the perfect fit for you in trucking it's not an easy industry to begin with but your one hell of a driver wish you the best on your future endeavors and look forward to seeing more of you in future
Eh I'm mixed on the 2 week notice thing. In my opinion if u wanna leave u should be able to. If I was the owner I would want someone who wants to quit out of that truck to replace someone who actually wants to work. They don't give u a 2 week notice before they fire ur a$$ so why should I? PLUS I've never to this day had a company ask me why I didn't put in 2 weeks
all that happened to me too, thats why I left too, & them damn banana loads, & getting stuck with banana loads that warehouses didnt want. smh. stay safe & strong. there is always better companies. But it wasnt all bad, just at the last 3month of the year i was there.. Kool to see morrow yard again though. thanks for that
Yeah, the dispatcher is definitely out of line to tell you to shut up. Highly unprofessional, and that's a big pet peeve of mine, I'm respectful to even strangers. I thought you were going to stick this company out, but things happen.
Well you been doing well as a truck driver Nia I watch your video and I think you are a great truck driver my lady friend so keep up the good work until next time stay strong and well my friend and sister 💪 😅❤
Oh girl I am going to this place because I heard from you hopefully they still give you the referral money I put your info . And I love watching all your videos ❤
Hi Nia beautiful lady, I just want to say have sweet dreams you are awesome. I want to thank you for bringing us on this journey with you, cannot wait to see your next vlogs.
I want to try someone that dont lie..and get home time week out is what i want.. hard to find.. but u are a badass driver.. and hella beautiful... Best of luck to u
This is why I swore off OTR company driving jobs. Too many ways they can screw around with you when they’ve got you held hostage in their truck a long way from home. If it’s your truck and fuel bill that’s different.
One thing I had a habit of doing when cleaning out the trailer was making sure the door latch had my pad lock on it just incase any random person decides to run up and look the door while I am inside haha
