Initially i wasn’t sure why your video showed up in my feed, based on its title and the age of the video. I was even more confused when i pressed ‘play’ and saw two faces that were young enough to be my children….no….my grandchildren! But i listened anyway. And by the time i was halfway through it, i did something highly unusual…i pressed ‘SUBSCRIBE’ and ‘SHARE’, almost simultaneously! Altho you seem to be sharing your first time home-buying experience, it’s your desire to be honest and persons of integrity that did it for me! That’s what compelled me to share! In a world that has become almost frightening to live in, with so much deception delusion and just pure evil, you were a breath of fresh air to stumble across! Oh, how i wish we were neighbors and that you were friends with my daughter and her husband ! (We are not far from the ATL Metropolitan area.). I am having a change in job and actually going to a much higher paying job prior to closing on our home and we definitely checked with our loan officer before even applying for the new job and again before accepting it as well but for some reason was still feeling nervous about it so thank you for sharing this, it helps!

Your story is so helpful for us new build buyers in a similar situation (me)! I am due to close in May and i haven’t broken any rules however, my job doesn’t align with my values and i have an offer on the table I haven’t accepted yet until i have the talk with my mortgage lender. I want to be honest and i am fortunate closing is a few months out but i still want to say something before accepting the offer. Thank you for the great advice!

Thanks for sharing this! My husband and I are in a similar situation with our new build. We made sure all of our finances were set up beforehand, but now my husband will be switching jobs before we close. We plan on being up front with our mortgage lender as well!
Okay right now I am interviewing for three positions all paying more I was terminated last week but it wasn’t a for sure thing now that I know that it is I’m thinking about just getting the job offers and then telling them after except one. What do you think about that?
My husband and I had the same experience. We bought new built 6/8/2021.The Leander ask for anything she had it within hours.We had our deposit in the bank plus emergency funds. We had the best realtor, she's family to us.

Great question. If you have closed on your house and have the keys in your hand, you are free to do whatever you want. If you don’t have the keys in your hand, you want to chat with your lender before making any decisions.

Did you finance through DR Horton? My home is being built in Tampa by Dr Horton, I live and work in NY right now, DHI Mortgage approved me for the build as a 2nd home (not primary residence) and will restructure the mortgage as a primary as we get closer to closing day-projected end of August.I work in healthcare and have been offered a job in the Tampa area already. I'm unsure whether to wait until closing to leave my current job in NY or to pack, move to rental in Tampa, work down there for 2 months or so or stay here until closing. What do you think?
In general it’s usually easier to make adjustments to your mortgage documents earlier in the process. It reduces any possible delays due to your lender having to update docs and request new information. We think whatever you and your lender are comfortable with, go for it. Definitely talk to your lender.
You can just get a letter from the next job and they allow it. I’m in the same exact situation living in NJ and moving to Tampa work in the medical field as well.
