We're building our new house in a subdivision, and let me say that getting an agent was by far the best decision we could've ever made going into this process! She's worth her weight in gold... if everything goes smoothly, then that's good, but if you don't have an agent and something happens (a discrepancy or a dispute of any kind), you'll wish you had one!
So corny. Definitely on the DR payroll. No other reason to make this video. You don't have to take up for DR Horton. I am a DR Horton homeowner and its falling apart after 4 years. I have the wrong shingles, I have leaks, floor squeeking everywhere, cracks in foundation, no flashing in areas what will destroy my windows, etc. Their houses are horrible and I should've gotten my own inspector, not the one DR Horton shakes hands with. If anyone is watching this, PLEASE DO NOT PURCHASE A DR HORTON HOME. DONT. DO. IT. YOU. WILL. REGRET. IT!
So, I’m here years later. I purchased this set in 2020 with the pedestals. Love them. The washer has started leaving deposits on my white bedding because I always close the door and detergent drawer on top of never cleaning the rubber stuff around the door - please don’t come for me, I wasn’t really informed on that. Anyway, I bought these cleaner tablets and doused everything in bleach. My question is, have you used the self clean cycle or do you do something different? I just did two tablets and a sanitize cycle with steam but the rubber areas still look gross.
Can someone tell me if the credit program they have is worth it? We have arranged and paid everything they asked us for. Now we are in the contract process and wait if in the end we are approved. Someone who can tell me about their experience if it has happened to you and if it is possible to close with 640 or less of credit with them. Thank you!!
I have the exact same situation where my Fridge slot is 72 and 1/4" and I wanted the new bespoke ones that are 73" tall, so it's too tall. However, its at the front, so technically can we make it fit but just have it block the cabinets above it?
Yes, it would block the cabinets. I think you will find more value in having access to the cabinets over being able to change out the fridge panels, which likely won’t happen often anyway.
@@AznEn4cer this is our exact predicament but I've chosen to go with the taller one because we hardly use the cabinet above. It's our alcohol cupboard lol and we can open it if we open the fridge doors. The glass panels are worth it to me because we have 5 kids and the stainless steel on our last fridge didn't even last after 2 years and now they look absolutely awful. I want the white glam panels 😊
DR Horton is the worst. Don’t cover for them. Stop blaming the buyers- many first time homebuyers!! New should be done right. They have ruined homes for friends and family.

Hmmmmmm. We built 3 homes and my significant other was a commercial builder who built homes, schools, hospitals, office buildings in management…..DR Horton is building in our area and just being nosey, we have been watching……these homes are very cheaply built. First time buyers have no idea…..at 65 years old, I say RUN!
DR Horton has multiple “levels” of homes they build. Some are their cheaper (though cheaper is still expensive now days) versions and some are their luxury line. It’s always good for buyers to do their research so that they know what they are purchasing.
Our first Samsung fridge lasted us 19 years, bought it in 2005 when we got married. We just bought this one and was installed yesterday :) we upgraded because the internal water hose on the first one finally gave out, easier to replace the whole fridge than fix it.
Their homes are Trash. Stop Selling out. I am a Property Appraiser and a License Home Inspector, and I will tell you that they are scam artist, they cut corners and they are being sued for a reason

You are literally trying to defend against a property appraiser who has to walk through 1000 homes a year, and a licensed home inspector. Their homes are trash, wouldnt be so bad if they actually cared about fixing their problems, but they avoid all warranty work until they get sued.
No, we are simply saying no home is perfect. Humans make mistakes. If companies fail to fix their issues, they should be held accountable….which ever tract home builder is. None of our videos have ever said that they are perfect. We have solely shared our experience. Which included them correcting issues under warranty within two days of the concern being brought to their attention. You have your experience and we have ours. ✌🏾
@@theirvs793 fair enough. I cannot speak for your experience. I am only speaking from the entire neighborhood I live in, and we all are in universal agreement that DR Horton needs to be avoided. Sorry if I it seems personally attacking, I am happy you and your family are doing well with yours, but whenever I see a positive post about DR Horton and I am watching the very walls collapsing in their living room, trusses are covered in mold, stucco falling off their homes, garage floors cement crumpling, and driveways washing away into the sewers then I feel compelled to speak out against DR Horton. I suggest people check the Consumer Affairs reports. Its not good. I mean look at the responses in your comment section. We honestly believe you are paid informer.
We bought a Dr Horton and it’s has been a nightmare since month 3 of closing. Can’t believe there can be that many issues with a new construction. Smh never again

Does the leather cover wrapped all over the bottom of the cushions too? or its only the surface of the cushion? can all the cushions be taken off of the couch base? thank you! thinking to get one but having the same issue won't see an actually couch in their store.
Hi! The leather is only on the visible top area. The bottom has more of a flat piece designed to be a bottom, if that makes sense. All of the cushions can be removed for easy cleaning of the couch.
Drywall was the halfway point, so about three months after drywall….i think. There are date stamps in the video that should be able to get a better accurate timeline.
I can not believe this video was made in the light that it was. First off, you two act like you are the first people to buy a home. D. R. Horton homes are AWFUL! Thw quality is trash. Nothing, I repeat NOTHING, in a newly built home shoud be falling apart within the first year or two. No children or pets in the home I'm referring to. Just two retired adults in their 60s and 70s. Not a drawer front. Not a piece of molding. NOTHING! Ive been buying houses for nearly fourty years and never have I ever experienced such poor quality as i have with D. R. Horton.

Everything, I repeat EVERYTHING, has met and exceeded our expectations. We are so happy with our home and DR Horton provided us an outstanding experience. 🤪

Well, if you move to a rural area the taxes will be much cheaper. Move to an area that provides a wealth of services, taxes will be higher. The choice is yours.
Great video! I just (literally 15 minutes ago) purchased the Oliver sofa in Dove Twill. It’s my first furniture piece from West Elm. I was able to get it on sale for $559, usually $699, after 2 years of watching and waiting and dreaming. Estimated delivery is between 2 to 4 weeks from now! Good to know what to expect from the white glove delivery.

7 out of 12 homes on my street had in home major water leaks. My plumbing fixtures were loose, water lines hooked up wrong, electrical had loose wires at the outlets and all smoke detectors. 2 vents in my roof flew off during a storm due to them not securing them. And every home has to have the exterior painted because they put such a thin layer on.
Our average builder house in Upstate SC didn't have any of the issues you mentioned. The minor things that needed to be fixed were done within two days and our warranties cover everything for 1 year, most things for 2, and major things for 10.

Im looking for DR Horton Homes in orlando. If I have agent ,what benefit I will get? Is it good to book home during construction or after construction? I see some homes of same model less price ,/price updated in Zillow, why is it so? In that's right time to book? At what stage we should call home inspection ? do I need Pre-approval before signing contract?
By having your own realtor, they will have all the answers to all these questions. You don’t gain or lose benefits by having your own realtor. You do lose protection by not having your own realtor. Zillow prices are never accurate for new builds. It’s best to be in contract before they start building or at least early in the process. Inspections can happen before the walls go up and again once the house is done. Yes, you need a pre-approval before signing a contract.
