Hello Danielle. Thank you so much for sharing the realities of teaching. As a HS math teacher I can completely relate. Although last year I was blessed with such a great group of students. I was so sad to see the school year end. Unfortunately I am already anticipating troubles next year as I am being switched to a math course for students who have not passed, which unfortunately is usually filled with students who are generally naughty. Unfortunately I am not in a place that I can walk away from teaching as I am so close to retirement. Seems I am stuck to struggle through. This is my second career so I fully agree with and support changing careers to something you enjoy. No one should be stuck in a career that is not satisfying. Just before the pandemic I created my youtube channel, which is about educational technology, figured it was a good fit beings that I had recently graduated with a Masters in Educational Technology. The pandemic definetely gave my channel a boost. I am happy to hear that you are stepping out in faith and pursuing a passion. You know the saying if you love what you do to earn a living you never really work a day in your life. Seems your interests and hobbies would be interesting to hear about. Honestly, congratulations. I quit two years ago. Found a better job almost immediately. Now I’m doing things I didn’t think I’d be able to.
