I'm a software developer who has always loved the ocean, ports and ships. Just came across this channel. Thanks a lot for uploading these videos. They're great!
I am currently studying to become a software dev, but recently I have been watching a lot of these maritime videos and thinking about going to sea instead. Do you have any regrets about becoming a software developer instead of a sailor? What would you choose with what you know now? I have already been accepted into a university(free in my country), but I am having second thoughts.
Just found your channel while taking my tea break in my car (car park outside my office). Very interesting, thanks to all of you guys out there keep our supply chains moving. Greetings from Ireland, Keep safe 👍👍👍👍
@@CaptainAmitBhandariI was always interested in all kinds of machinery, anything from agriculture to marine. I'm an engineer/part time farmer now and used to be a truck driver hauling containers etc. So my youtube searches can lead me to anywhere 😄
@@mertvak 45? Lol! I remember last year in August when we were transiting Panama Canal we had 56c in the generator room. Every five minutes we came up to the control room to hydrate ourselves plus we also took salt tablets. Really tough days they were.
@@mertvak my last ships generator platform temperature was 65degree celcius, in Persian gulf, just imagine how it would be working every day doing maintenance on broken generator daily as a 3E. Salute to all seafarers, thanks for sharing the reality of merchant shipping
Love your hard dedication to give information to public in such a humid conditions and your vlogs are always informative than other seafarers who are on RU-vid I am seeing your since three months
Just now started watching your vlogs.. There are many of my friends in merchant Navy but Through your vlogs I got to see a different side of merchant men. you guys are such a warrior . I mean it seems so challenging , One must bold meanwhile Resilient and calm to overcome all these.. Kudos👏
I can see from your face how hot surroundings will be. You r lucky, because atleast you are not working in engine room...Engine room will be completely oven.
I stumbled upon your vlogs a couple of days back and have been binge watching since then....Quality of vlogging and content is impeccable. Very nicely presented!! Yo deserve a pat on your back for this...Do let me know if any help or support required. Keep up the good work !! I will do my party by sharing it among my peeps!! Looking forward for more vlogs..
Sky blue hull and a star on the funnel, Propelled with emotion and surging through the sea. There come the horizon with bright blinking lights, the light of hope, the light of joy. So like our life, fark in the night with bright moonlight, leading the direction to set our sails high. #maersk #maerskforever
The only thing i would hate about this job is ? Being stuck on a ship for so long. I think for me, i would do one port of travel. On at one, Off at the next one. As you can tell i am Not a Boat or Ship sort of person. I even hate going on Cruise Ships. Could not wait to get off each day and mostly waiting until the cruise was over.
@@KaranvirSinghNayyar I can't say a tough life. More so monotonous. You do a great job of editing too. If you're going to be stuck working on a ship might as well make the most of it and make some videos and post them so others can see your life. 👍
I can handle absolutely brutal cold but I can't handle the brutal heat of the gulf. Give me stinging cold and a job hammering ice buildup on deck fittings on an ice breaker. Always love winter
When the air went off in the Persian gulf it sucked big time. Trying to sleep when there is beads of sweat trickling down your body is impossible...almost.⚓
I like ur vedio bcoz evey mariner dng vloggs will be in hindi or their own language but u r explaining clearly in English 🙂and showing both pros cons 👍
Hi Mr. Karanvir Singh Nayyar Ah Ah Ship Ahoy Sir, Hats off Happy to see young fellow sailors on Board By the way Work hard and enjoy the today ships facility, On our days we had terrible experiences on ships, I got retired in 2004, just imagine how the ships would have been in our days. Good Luck Good Stuff Keep Posting even when you become a MASTER MARINER
I've just done my admission for B. Tech Marine Engineering... Let's see what the sea life holds for me :) My brother and is already a Chief Engineer in Anglo Eastern 😄
I'm an ex sri lankan deck cadet.stumble across your channel after ever given grounding. Today I saw one of your youtube video clip playing on a local tv channel in background with ever- given grounding news.
Seems like I want to try the life of a seafarer. I know some family members who worked on a cargo ship that sometimes bullying by seniors were unbearable.
Hello my man, im on 4th course of navigation. Your videos is motiviting me wish u all the best, are you cadet or 3th officer? wih you all best from GEORGIA!
@@KaranvirSinghNayyar add video about responsibilities of cadet and 3rd officer it would be intresting, also will be intrested what kinda interview you had before untill you get on bridge as cadet!
Hi karanvir. It's always pleasure to see you & many key seafarers like you paying theirs hardwork to keep moving supply chain. I am serving as a marketing engineer for all Turbocharger overhaul & spare parts. You can consider us for any technical glitches. Mr. Sachin Mohite, Dalwin Marine
first of all there is something called critical temperature above which refrigerant cannot be condensed ! may I know the sea water temperature in your mentioned port of call?
Sure it is hot....but Indians are accustomed to living in hot humid climate during the summer 45C. All sea farers should get toughened and feel easy in such not/frigid conditions. I used to work on an asphalt carrier, and we had to heat up the asphalt to 150 C, the temperature in the pump room used to be 60 C and outside in the winter Montreal at -15 C. So, it's one of the challenges, that for some it is easy, but hard for some others.
@@KaranvirSinghNayyar I forgot. One of your video, I commented that I was in a scientific vessel from India, controlled by SCI people. There , I think it is 12 to 4. Can't remember exactly. I am not a SeaMan, but I worked as on off pattern duty in ship for 8+ years. When I see your video, I feel good, nostalgic. I think your 3/o, so what is your duty time. Is it different in your ship? Just asking. R u now onborad in Navratri or in your off. 🙂 Best wishes for Navratri.
