I prefer my project truck, the 1980-96 Bronco's look better when lower 3/4in to look like a 1st gen Lightning, closer to a real 50/50 weight distribution. Same front end and frame as a F150 4x4. But there are a LOT of 2WD Lightnings with suspension and enough boost to get into the 8's, some 7's and a couple 6's. I know 1 of the 6' had a chopped roof and ended up being sold to a wealthy man in the Middle East.

Boosted F-150, I think Todd was talking more about the timing of the tree. He either left too early or too late. The interesting thing is that the gap either way at the beginning was almost the same as the gap at the end which makes me agree with Todd about being good competition. You definitely seem to have the tree down much better than the turbo guy.

I m looking to get at all yall f150 coyote ballers..rollin a 2017 f150 rcsb hellion twins so far best pass 10.06 134 with 1.55 60' has run 1.44 60' s with little tiny 2454517 et streets and stock steel rims work truck....were pusing 1000 now at sea level.if this virus gets outta here ima be seeing you soon!!thanks to dyno edge, hellion and palm beach dtno rob!!notice mex racing league turned it up for two passes to get the tecotd before it ate the motor thas alright im be running them numbers consistantly here..new tires and rims..throttle body and couple more psi...were there!the new f150s are fu#!$@ing badd ass i lve my "work" truck

You should leave the tailgate up. The overly wide tailgate top was designed like that for a reason. It allows the air coming off the top of the roof to properly flow off the back of the tailgate much like a spoiler would. With the tailgate down the air goes down in the bed and doesn't really know where to go. Or best option yet is to get a bed lid cover of somekind. I've got a paint matched hard tonneau cover on mine.

It still gets me every time when trucks put their tail gate down at the strip. Or just driving around. I’ve left a comment previously addressing how this hurts the truck with copious amounts of drag. Especially getting into triple digit speeds. If you didn’t read my last comment explains the physics behind this I recommend you go scroll down and read it so you can understand. Leave the tail gate up. Or take it off completely.

Saw your truck @ Atco yesterday for Fathers day. Awesome truck. I lost my dad 3 weeks ago to cancer and the closest we ever been was when I used to drag race about 10 years ago He was my biggest supporter, so Thats why I was there for fathers day. He left me his stock s10. Thinking about turning it into a drag truck. anyways.... SUBBED! I was there in my slow ass daily driven vw rabbit lol.

Keep up the content man. You are inspiration for me. I've come from owning a stock lightning and going fully built to owning 2 procharged s550's. There is just something right about the rcsb 5.0 truck. The only difference is between us is I would get the 2wd version and just run a drag radial full time like I did for years on my lightning.

S/C equals low in torque = better launch and better 60ft. Turbo gives power on the Top end range...Unless he can Brake boost or stall it up... That truck will not be able to beat you from a dig. Nice Job and Nice Vid!

Turbo set ups require more . That truck isn’t set up properly to drag . It needs a 2 step and a looser converter to get up on boost and you need tires . Once you can leave on boost it’s going to smoke the tires . With 900 HP that truck will run well into the 9s . I need to get The MAK Turbo truck to the track and start playing around with it .

Boosted F-150 Willy and I have been talking about getting things in line to start going to the track . I told them to let me know and I’ll start going with them and help out . It’s going to be a bit of a learning curve . Your running great truck is so impressive. I haven’t driven the 10 speed yet but I’m thinking it may have boost issues of the line . Once it gets out the 330 it will pull hard . I’m guessing the out of the hole is where a lot of testing will need to be done

Turbo guy has to know how to launch it and get all the bugs out to launch it hard and to be able to build boosters. Converter. 2 step etc etc. Your supercharger makes power right now. It's a lil deferent. But his pull curve is a lil deferent.

Surprised you guys are still running with stock engine internals at that power level 😲. I was going to go with the Hellion F150 kit, but the way you left him off the line, I starting to rethink that plan 🤣. May go with positive displacement blower like VMP or Whipple now for that instant torque.

The 10 speed will be really nice when they get the kinks out. I had an 18 F-150 crew cab. Loved the truck but has too many issues with the transmission and couldn’t get the dealership to look at it. Other than that a great truck

You would think the twin turbo truck would overtake you on the big end. We all know that a supercharger takes power away from your engine to produce power and that a turbo doesn't suffer from this. I don't know what's going on with your Whippled F150, but it's bad to the bone and you should be proud! Props to you. Enjoy all of your vids!

I enjoy the trucks better than the cars but you’re my favorite. Keep it up brother, I wish I could have a truck that nice but I can’t afford it so I enjoy your truck through your videos. God bless you and be safe. P.S. t seen a video a while back about a truck being faster with the tail gate up instead of down. I don’t blame you if you don’t believe me. You should google it though and it explains why it’s faster with the tail gate up.. just wanted to pass that along. They used the same truck and it was 3:10th’s faster and around 7 to.8 mph faster as well. I t was 4/10’s faster on one run. Just passing it along if you want to google it.

Great video, really like how reserved, polite, and humble you are. Sick truck wow it shifts hard, Did Oz tune the trans ? any trans mods ? converter? your truck really hits hard from a dig , very impressive. Im more of turbo fan, but still undecided for my 2018, turbo or Whipple 3.0 . Considering the cost of headers plus supercharger might do turbo seems to be more affordable, oh and good economy no parasitic loss for cruising, as mine will be daily driver , long distance vacation drives etc, mild towing sometimes. Man your truck is a beast , and shifts sounded like you might break an axle , sick .

I've already got the Lightning 5.8L motor in my 86 Bronco (except for full rocker valvetrain and OBD-II 1996 ECU for tuning. I REALY WANT WIPPLE CHARGER TOO!

@@JeepCherokeeful I've got the 3.85" Ford Racing stroker crank for 5.8L off of eBay. I have stock rods, but I'm not sure if I want to budget for better rods and upgraded pistons. Budget = longer delays.

Ryan McCormick gotcha. With the right combination you’ll double the hp and gain at least 100 lbs ft of torque! But even the cheapest route is still expensive.

Expensive, aftermarket parts shouldn’t be necessary as long as the heads, cam and valvetrain are good, modernized components. Having a professional engine builder, experienced with Fords, help select the components would be ideal. Check out the videos from Papadakis Racing, simply amazing how careful he is with engine assembly. Quality in quality out. Engines are my absolute favorite part of a car or especially a semi truck. Of course a 389 Peterbilt isn’t ugly either.

I have a question. I have ‘19 F-150 Lariat crew cabin, I don’t have 4A option but i got instead 4H option, my question is that is it safe to drag race in 4H? And i think I saw you disable the 4weel option on high speed, is it safe too? By the way im a big fan of your channel and i wish you all the best.

4Hi has worked for me for years flawlessly. 4A I believe is clutches which can wear quick with boosted launches. I turn back to 2wd after I’m done with the pull so I can turn the corner without skipping

I recall reading a University study which claimed that same exact point. Trucks are are more aerodynamic (creates an air vortex or something along those lines) with the tailgate closed so I guess it hasn't been debunked.
