You give me hope for young people... Ive been buying vinyl since the 70s, still do. I bought vinyl through the 90s when they couldnt even give records away. Enjoyed your video and enthusiasm, very nice. These days I dont buy as much because I have about 10,000 LPs so it is a space issue so I pick and choose nowadays. Anyways, great job, I just subbed.
@@sorinvinyl1523 I started in the mid 70s when I was 6 years old because an Uncle bought me a record player. never stopped buying them ... I have CDs too but vinyl is played daily. Space is always an issue but adaptable. Shelving is important for space saving as you know. Time passes and you'll look at your collection surprised to see so many.
A great stash of records and bargain buys Sorin. Getting something like the Buffalo LP in a cheap bin here in the UK just isn't possible. I'm a fan of that whole early horn rock period including the Sons of Champlain. I'd recommend lps by the likes of Pollution, The Eclectic Mouse, Gasmask, Metamorphosis but I'm sure you're very aware of them and able to find them in the cheap bins very easily. I've got the first 3 Ellen Mcilwaine lps but I must revisit them...been a long time since I had them on. Omega are a great group, as are so many from that time in the Eastern Bloc with Breakout deserving a special mention. Love your vids mate... keep on finding those bargains 😎. Cheers Nige
Buffalo Springfields albums are everywhere here lol. I actually havent heard of any of those, so thank you I will check them out! Thank you so much! ✌️ ☮️
Love that Mott/Hoople LP! I just got it last summer at a RS! The song All the Young Dudes was a Bowie song He gave it to Mott to keep them from breaking up! He basically revitalized their career with that jam! ✌️👽
Thank you! Yes I have! That record is actually probably on my top 10 most wanted. I dig anything with steve hillage on guitar, he is fantastic! Thanks for watching ✌️
Hey Sorin! Getting close to be caught up on your vids! I love seeing people show their bargain bin finds! Especially when they’re as good as these records! That Steely Dan is incredible! No one can argue that SD were amazing songwriters and extraordinary players! I have a full set of DVDs with the Midnight Special show from 70’s where they had popular bands of the day play live and Steely D’s performance was amazing! I have a weird history with that Bloodrock record. I discovered the single DOA in my grandparents basement when we went there for Christmas when I was a grade school kid I had no idea what it was but I thought the label looked cool so I played it on a little record player and I was so freaked out! As a kid that’s some heavy content! But like a car crash it’s too hard to look away and I must have played it 20 times in a row All of the sudden a door burst open and my uncle came out in his underwear looking all bleary eyed and pissed off and he grabbed the record off the player and snapped it over his knee and walked back in his room He didn’t say a word LoL! But I am def a fan of Bloodrock and they’re a Texas band so I like em even more as I lived in Dallas! Yeah lyrical content isn’t deep or anything but it’s not deplorable LoL! Anyway This is a long comment so Very cool records! Keep em coming! ✨✌️👽✨
I love Steely Dan! I've got all of their albums. The midnight special set is really great. That's a very interesting story with DOA lol. I can never really get into Bloodrock, but I'll usually buy their albums if they are cheap. Thanks for watching ✌️
Nice bunch of records, some i know of but have never heard like Omega. All The Young Dudes is terrific, i'd reccomended ' Mott' and ' The Hoople' too if you don't already have them.
Mott were an awesome band Bowie wrote that song All the young dudes.Talking about Glam rock, The Band Guess Who wrote Glamour Boy in reference to David Bowie I think.Fear Itself is a fantastic bluesy, psychedelic album.
yeah nothing like finding good records for cheap - can't go wrong with Hendrix, Steve Hillage, Mott, etc. That Sons Of Champlin is a very interesting record. Horn prog? Bill Champlin joined Chicago later on...
Sons of champlin is great stuff. I'm not sure I would call it prog in any way. It's more of a jazz rock type thing. Labels are dumb anyway. Thanks for watching ✌️
I have record shopped in Arizona. Sadly, it was at The In Groove in Phoenix where the prices are ridiculous and the owner is really unfriendly. @@sorinvinyl1523
This was at a store called Grace Records. One of the greatest stores I've ever been to. I have been to the In Groove as well. Usually stuff is extremely expensive, but I got a copy of Around Grapefruit for a sweet deal there because the cover was in not so great shape.
