This was my first half! Started way at the back and managed to spot you flying round a corner at mile 10 when I felt like I’d only just got started😂 managed to get 2:15 which I was really happy with!

Ever since I moved to Oxford for my PhD from Spain, I've been wanting to have Ben around. I couldn't watch the half bc I was on my Sunday long run. After that, I went to college for lunch and I swear I saw Ben near Magdalen College. I convinced myself that I was dreaming, but immediately after I checked his Instagram and it was him. Can't believe I missed you buddy. I hope you had the best of times in Oxford. You're always welcome and the university team will love to host you for some run any time. Kudos on the race!

Awesome race! Hopefully you didn’t get locked out of a house or anything after this and enjoyed the days recovering and preparing for the next race!

Congratulations on your run! I ran this and thought the event was a bit disappointing - long walk from the village to the start line, course was quite congested at times, it narrowed and became a rough terrain in the park at just the wrong time (with 3 or 4k to go when you want to kick) and the finish area was chaos with volume of people. What was your impression compared to other runs that you've done?

You did Marvelous!!!! Here is my suggestion: Sean T from Beach Body has an Amazing fitness test! Although it is carbs concentrated, many marathoners find it challenging.

I have what feels like a small tear in my right quad. I’m in a half marathon training block, so I’m just taking out speed days and keeping runs at zone 2-3 until the race. Two more weeks to go.

The Peterborough half marathon this weekend did the same with lots of twists and turns in final mile and a bit. It was a new cathedral based route but maybe that meant it was more for scenic reasons than runner friendly reasons.
