Perfect!!!! Exactly the video I was looking for. I'm running a 56 mile trail ultra on the 8th of June, and after I'm going to spend a few months trying to get a nice 5k PB. Looking forward to applying your techniques.
Congrats! You did great. Thank you for not going into a negative ramble for not achieving your goal time. People who aspires to run should notice that even an elite runner can have a tough run, and still remember what a privilege it is to be able to run. Well done!!
Cute sister is a brilliant addition to these things. More Ellie. All seriousness, upbeat mood at the end despite it not going exactly as planned is inspiring and impressive. Thanks for these.
At age 36, I started running a few months ago and lost 16 lbs. I came across your channel and found it motivating. Came here to see where it started for you!
This just randomly popped up on my 'tube algorithm. Damn my 5k PB was 16:15 as a young nobody-runner when I was in the service. I was in great shape but that was like 20 yrs ago. Thnx for the memories.
“Those people that are running around 4/5 hours”. What, you mean like 99% of us regular folk? No offence taken mate 😂. Joking, you absolutely smashed it! Sub 2.5hrs is insaneee, you deserved to miss the rain tbf! Keep killing it! 💕
Your sister is a wee gem man, love the support you both have for each other ❤️ Maybe not the race you hoped for but 3:30 per km in a marathon is just insane to me, amazing effort mate 👏
You should probably look at carbo loading a bit more scientifically. That was not a carbo load at all. You had high fat foods and the pasta for dinner (12 hours before the race) is too late to adequately replenish glycogen stores.
Ellie is the type of person that if I were 20 years, my younger, I’d fly over the pond just to say “hi” to her! Well done BEN! You looked very much in control!
You ran past me about 4k into my run and looked so strong! I'm sorry you didn't hit your goal, but still a very very impressive performance and speeds my mind can't grasp. I actually saw you at the expo too, but got way too shy to come and say hi 😆Maybe next time!
I usually run 🏃♂️ 5k races as an amateur and have noticed my time improving when I did no training just complete rest for 3 or 4 days before a race .. its only a short distance but it works for me, now I'm considering a 10k this summer...
