love these vids Seth, I've been wanting to try out some foaming TPU, I imagine it'd be more comfortable and similar to EVA

What about printing separate parts of the shoe to focus on certain details and comfort and then putting them together to form the shoe instead of a whole printed shoe

Hey seth, love your videos! Im trying to figure out how to get shoe sizing right for 3d printing shoes, if you would make a video going into detail onto how to actually 3d print shoes, that would be great. Keep pumping out the good videos, and keep wearing apthcry!

You should get some foaming TPU, it prints almost as easily as 95a TPU through a bowden setup but foams at higher temps, giving a lower hardness. You will have to adjust your extrusion/flow rates to compensate for the expansion but there should be a loose guide to follow on the manufacturers website or on the filament box itself. You could print a multi part shoe using varying hardness settings and then assemble it, either using heat, chemicals, adhesives or a combination.

There's a concept shoe called the Crocs x Nike AF1, a cross between AF1's and Crocs.

Seth, great video as always! Have you considered using modifiers in your slicer to change the infill density in different parts of the shoe? It would be cool to pressure map your feet and then modify the infill density to make it accommodate the points with the most stress. Cheers!

I've often said: Before you criticize someone you should walk a mile in their shoes. That way when you criticize them you're a mile away and you have their shoes.

Maybe if you will develop design with laces it would improve comfort. You can make them wider and tight in right places

did you ever try ninja flex chincilla. it only comes in 3 colours, but it is very soft and matte. plus rated for long term skin contact.
