Hisuian Typloshion is an amazing form, I love it whenever they put up their flames, they look dope, hope that they also add the modern forms of the starters so that I can have all of the Typloshion forms in one team

Honestly I love Palkia’s and Dialga’s design for the reasons mentioned. They are abominations who attempted to imitate God, detestable beings that loss all of their signature power in that attempt to usurp Arceus, they look so wrong and that’s why I like them

The forces of nature therian forms are based on the Chinese sacred beasts (4 symbols). The Japanese have different names for them. Tornadus-Suzaku Thunderus-Seiryu Landorus-Byakko Enamorus-Genbu

Ok so I really like the new origin forms; they’re abominations, but there’s a lore purpose. They purposely horrible abhor themselves in order to mimic Arceus and gain their power, which works considering they’ve become Juan.

I love how Decidueye was an archer, based on the Stilt-Owl, a species of owl native to Hawaiian that went extinct. This is why Decidueye is a Ghost-Type and has long legs. Hisuian Decidueye was a Samurai Archer. With its head feathers made to resemble a ayaigasa hat, which was worn by samurai archers for hunting or ceremonial purposes. Hisuian Decidueye might also be based on Cikap-kamuy, the god of owls and the land in Ainu culture, who are the indigenous people of Hokkaido.

After watching this, kind of wish Unovan Braviary was a Fighting/Flying type like Hawlucha.

Even though not all regional forms look great or …decent, it’s still the best gimmick in the newer generations, and I love how Hisui had so many non-Kanto Pokémon getting new forms/evolutions. Kleavor, Voltorb, Electrode, Growlithe, and Arcanine all look great, but it was really nice to see a lot of Johto and Unova Pokémon getting new forms. And even though I still prefer the original Decidueye, I’m happy they gave it something new and would love to see them add a Decidueye with moves from both versions to smash if they ever make a new one. So, I’m the spirit of regional variants, my guesses for the variants for the next Legends game (which I’m guessing is in ancient Unova): Unovian Chesnaught (Grass/Steel) could be a cool quadrupedal tank that can use it’s signature move to damage the opponent and steal their HP (like a Steel type “Horn leech” with maybe an added effect just because). Unovian Inferape (Fire/Fairy) could be a version that draws more from the magical side of Son wukong stories, it could even ride a cloud of smoke if they want to be on the nose. It can have a Fairy type signature move that has a chance of burning and always goes first. Unovian Swampert (Water/Poison) I thought could be because of all the sewers in Castellia, it’d be interesting if it’s magenta colors (a darker version of normal Swampert’s shiny) would actually be well liked and the fact that it literally dissolves and eats garbage would make it a useful companion. It could blow a big colorful bubble as it’s signature move, having a high chance to critical hit and lowering the opponent’s defenses.

Basculegion is also my favorite Hisuian pokemon, it’s just so cool how they revived a totally irrelevant old rod fish into an actual usable pokemon, hopefully it gets phantom force and scale shot in scarlet/violet.

The Therian Formes are based on "the Four Gods", figures of ancient Chinese astrology and geomancy. Originally there were 3 members represented by an azure dragon, fenghuang, and qilin/kirin. Over time the fenghuang became the Vermilion Bird, the Kirin became a white tiger and a forth member was added, the Genbu turtle.

Most of the Hisui forms are also based on aspects of culture form Hokkaido where the game is based. So they did an excellent job with that.

Dude, you completely forgot to talk about how broken Hisuian Lilligant is. Victory Dance is such a strong move and with access to moves like Leaf Blade, Poison Jab, and Close Combat it can obliterate so many Pokémon. Mine single handedly carried me through the two Giratinas during the Volo fight.
