I get nostalgia plays into a lot of these franchises, but the Spider Verse films are just a cut above. They are some of the best movies of all time, period

I feel like you don’t understand the song self love and how it fits into Gwen’s back story. The song is about Both of Gwen’s love interests trying her to show her love but it ends up getting them hurt and also hurting herself in the process. Peter died trying to be like Gwen and she also stays away from Miles because she knows getting together with him would end up the same as Peter someway somehow, hurting Miles “self-love” in the process.
She doesn’t get with miles for two reasons. 1. She’s scared shell get hurt again like what happened with Peter and 2. Gwen Stacy tends to die when she falls for Spider-Man, it’s probably a canon event actually so miles may have a canon event here, that being Gwen dying. She thinks that both of them will get hurt in one way or another by them dating

I think it is because it takes the relatibilty from Spider-Man 2, expains on the Spider Verse, had the cameos that No Way Home had, emtional stakes from No Way Home, and the cliffhanger from Far From Home.
Don't feel bad about putting Spider-Man 2, Into the Spider Verse, and No Way Home in the top 3. Those are in most peoples top threes. Those three films are considered among the greatest superhero films of all time. Some still consider Spider-Man 2 the greatest superhero film. I, personally, still think that Across the Spider Verse is the best Spider-Man movie. It improved on everything all the other great Spider-Man films got right. Relatablity from Spider-Man 2, the Spider Verse from the first movie, the emtional stakes from No Way Home, the cameos from No Way Home, and the cliffhanger ending from Far From Home. Perfect Spider-Man movie because it takes the best aspects from every Spider-Man film.
@@heyya3207 I've seen the film, and as a teenage boy that's exactly how I feel as Miles. And Peter in Spider-Man 2 goes through things that we would go through in our every day lives. Trying to pay for rent, trying to get school papers done, not being able to be there for his family and friends, watching the woman he loves choose someone else, etc.

Realtionship issues, getting into trouble with his parents, disappointing friends and family, going through some kind of depression, losing things that you hold dear, losing family members. That's something everyone can relate to.
I honestly dont get why people like atsv so much rn. Ive watched it twice and it only made me feel like i wasted 2 hours watching a little episode of a series. The story is good but it doesn't feel like it all comes together and it makes me feel just dissapointed and kind of ruins my excitement for the next one.

I think they had told Tom Hardy he was going to be in the movie, but they knew the film was overstuffed so they decided to setup a Venom versus Spider-Man film in the Sony Spider-Man Universe.

This is a great list. I like no way home but the more I watch it the less I like it. I love the ending but after every watch i think they could have given the other spidies more to do outside of the film. They could have done more location shooting. Fixed some of the CGI. Made dr. Strange less of an idiot ect. I don’t think it will age as well as Spider-Man 2 or into the spider verse which pioneered not only a great story, but the way super hero movies look and feel
Great point, I forgot about how disastrous the reused CGI was in the movie and most everything about sandman. Still love it on rewatches though, what can I say?
Spiderman 2 does not through its ending away at the end to be happy. It captured the entire theme of finding the hero inside everybody to the point where even Doc Oc does not have to die a monster. The happy ending with MJ is well deserved too becausee the entirety of the movie is almost less him learning to be spiderman but spiderman figuring out peter parker which pays off when they decide to manage the consequences with one another. But very interesting video appreciate your opinions!

The thing about Spider-Man 2’s ending seeming contradictory is that this time it was Mary Jane’s choice. It was about someone finally being there for him instead of the other way around. “It’s about time somebody saves you”. And she accepts him even knowing he’s Spider-Man. She is willing to accept and go along with Peter being Spider-Man and the responsibilities he has, so he doesn’t have to make a sacrifice and lead a double-life with her anymore. And yes, TASM 1 suit> TASM2 suit

I didnt grow up watching tobys spiderman, somehow i missed it but they really arent that good, what i like is his movies feel the most like im in new york, and toms my least favorite spiderman, im not too big into the avengers and spiderman being apart of all that just immediately turns me off to it, his Spider-Man is more of a super hero instead of a friendly neighborhood spiderman, andrews definitely my favorite spiderman actor. Nostalgia plays way too much into people opinions on tobys spiderman, theyre good but not the best. And across the Spider-verse at 6 is crazy
The thing about across the spider-verse not having a climax and not having a proper ending is because the ending is a proper cliffhanger. Cliffhangers are supposed to end on the climax. Just as an example avengers infinity war is considered to end with a "cliffhanger" but it really is more of a movie that's just setting up a sequel because it had a climax and a proper ending. Atsv had a true cliffhanger ending by ending on the climax. But i understand why you don't like how the movie didn't feel complete and I completely agree that beyond the spider-verse has a great chance at being the greatest spider-man movie ever.

Most will probably disagree with me, but the Sam Rami trilogy is overrated and TASM 1 is underrated. 1. Across the Spider-Verse 9/10 (I found it a tad bit long, but overall an amazing film, it improved on a lot from Into the Spider-Verse, and I just loved every second of it. Probably my new favorite Spider-Man movie.) 2. Into the Spider-Verse 9/10 (I really love this movie, but I never found it perfect) 3. No Way Home 8.5/10 (Good but slightly overrated) 4. Spider-Man 2 8.5/10 (Same as NWH, but lower) 5. TASM 8.5/10 (I love this movie, it’s underrated but does have some problems.) 6. Far From Home 8/10 (Pretty good.) 7. Spider-Man 7.5/10 (I definitely find this overrated, but overall it’s still a good movie.) 8. Homecoming 7.5/10 (Good, but could’ve been better) 9. The Amazing Spiderman(4.6) FROM HERE IT IS EXTREMELY CLOSE SO IF IT IS DIFFERENT FOR YOU I GET IT 4. No Way Home(8.5) Only because it had no effect on Marvel as a whole and the first half is a but slow 3. Spider-Man 2(8.7) Great, but I chose the top 2 because I enjoyed them a bit more and because of their contributions to superhero movies and animation respectively 2. Spiderman Into the Spiderverse(9.5) This was a hard decision for real. This movie smacks. Easily my favorite Animated movie of all time. 1. Spider-Man(9.6) Top Tier stuff. No questions
Honestly, Spider-Man 3 is my favorite of the trilogy simply for the fact I had the most fun watching it. That movie is so stupidly hilarious and I feel like too many people take it too seriously. Also kinda* like TASM 2 for that reason as well, Andrew Garfield is an amazing actor and I love how awkward he is.

Overrating NWH and underrating ATSV HARD in my opinion of course, these movies have maintained a pretty great level of quality aside form a couple outliers. So most lists are pretty valid.

respectable list. the only one i have an issue with is ATSV at #6. I agree that the issue with the movie is that it's only half the story, but i don't think that is a bad thing. what we get is really insightful build up and character development that make the dynamics between the characters really entertaining to watch. i was surpirsed that all the spider society stuff was at the end and the majority of the movie was not that at all. initially, i was really taken aback by this but honestly, the more I think about it, the more i love that they took that risk and gave us more emotion rather than relying on all the cameos and crazy spiderverse stuff. it really shows the story is first and foremost about miles and his relationships first and the actual multiverse stuff second. they could have easily turned this into a fan service hijinks movie, but they didn't which i think is super commendable. plus, i did not think they could expand on the beauty and art of ITSV (because that was already so groundbreaking) but they did. every shot of this movie is a work of art, it can honestly be put up in a museum and exploring more worlds allowed that to shine through. Plus, the music was INCREDIBLE. im sure BTSV will overtake it because it has the plot also going for it also, but I still ATSV doing all the leg work for the character devlopment to pay off in the third movie will look much more impressive in hindsight when we have the whole trilogy. for now, it is my number 1 spot but i am going back and forth between putting ITSV back at number 1
See the thing is people discredit across the spiderverse for not having a ending to the climax and that would be fair if any other Spider-Man movie had as good of storytelling, writing, visuals, music, characters, etc

The Sam raimi trilogy is not as good as people remember it being, it’s so corny it’s just laughable to watch, I can’t take them seriously and rate them in the top 5 imo
