It's too early to rank no way home. A good movie always feels great freshly after watching it. Give it some time and a second or third rewatch before making your decision.

I agree with the placement of far from home on your list, but it will always be top tier in my heart. My older brother took me to see it in cinemas, and it’s the last proper movie we saw together before he died. I still remember losing my god damn mind at the end credit scene and him laughing at me (in a lighthearted way). Is it perfect? Far from it. Is it an enjoyable movie with its pluses that I’ll always cherish? 100%

That’s how I feel about Spider man 3. People don’t like the film, and I agree it’s a mess lolol But my older brother picked me up from school early to see it in the theatre. We saw it together twice. It’ll always have a special place in my heart.

@@jcw370 Spider-Man 3 was a bad movie. You can clearly see where Sam Raimi tried and where he didn't (Mostly Venom because he was forced to use him.) You see, both Spider-Man 3 and TASM 2 are bad movies but atleast Spider-Man 3 is funny and iconic. It's pretty easy to ignore it's flaws. TASM 2 isn't enjoyable and it forces the bad things in your face.

MCU Spider-Man has the advantage of having all the buildup from past MCU movies and characters (iron man, dr.strange, etc) to enhance the movie. Even NWH they had to bring back past villains and Spider-Mans. That’s why I still put Spider-Man 2 as the top because it was solely carried by tobey’s Spider-Man and 1 villain.

Hey, Spiderman 2 is much better than rest of the Spidey films, no disrespect. It's a well known fact that how perfectly Spiderman 2 is crafted and it feels entirely different from a superhero film. In this movie, Peter Parker (and not Spiderman) was the perfectly built protagonist, and the powers of Spiderman are just the elements of the movie, the story is driven by Peter, the character and not the powers of Spiderman. The villain, Doc. Oc never felt like lacking motivation, the story, the characters, the emotion, everything sits just perfectly. Also, Spiderman 2 is considered as one of the greatest superhero movies ever made. With all that being said, my top 5 would be.. Spiderman 2 Spiderman (2002) No Way Home Into the Spiderverse Spiderman 3

spiderman 2 is a really good movie but isnt almost every movie driven by peter for ex. homecoming is about the person that wears the mask, he cant go with his friends and his crush and cant spent time with them, just like the raimi trilogy Spiderman is all about the person behind the mask.So I think the toms trilogy and tobeys trilogy arent all that different But andrews spiderman movies do feel like spiderman is almost his own person u know what I mean? anyway this is my top 5 homecoming into the spiderverse nwh spiderman 2 spiderman 1

My list goes: 1. Spider-Man 2 - When I think of Peter Parker and Spider-Man, this is the film that comes to mind. Peter’s struggles are so damn relatable, especially for those around his age in this film (20 year olds/college kids). Plus, Peter and MJ’s relationship is both heartbreaking and heartwarming, and Dock Ock’s portrayal is perfect. And don’t get me started on the action; man that train fight is still Top 10 Superhero Fights material. 2. Spider-Man: No Way Home - What a blast of a movie!! I cannot believe how much this film really stuck with me. It’s got amazing action and visuals, the characters are at their peak in terms of development and portayal, the cinematography is on point, the score is epic and tragic, and the fan service is fairly justified adding to the plot of this film and plots of previous films. But, the biggest triumph of this movie is the emotional weight and tragedy of it all. Has one of the best endings to any superhero film. 3. Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse - If there’s any film on here that perfectly captures what it means to be Spider-Man, its this one. Animation and visuals are stellar. The characters are great, and the story is wonderful. No real complaints here! 4. Spider-Man: Homecoming - Such a different tone from the Raimi and Webb era films; it’s honestly refreshing. It’s hilarious, endearing, and the Vulture twist and character are so good. Tony’s addition into the film is also very welcomed, and Peter’s high school responsibilities/wants clashing with his superhero duties are at the core of what makes him and this film so relatable. 5. Spider-Man - Peter Parker’s origin is heartfelt, endearing, and tragic all the same. Dafoe’s performance as Goblin *Chef’s Kiss*, and Peter’s relationship with MJ is very relatable. Also, nostalgia haha…only real criticism I have is the campiness, but that’s apart of this film’s charm. 6. Spider-Man 3 - Despite what everyone has said over the years about this film, I still thoroughly enjoy it. Peter’s moral dilemmas being challenged by the symbiote, the breakdown of his relationship with MJ, and Harry’s downfall are all tragic and add to the emotional weight of the film. Plus, alot of the criticisms are now memes, which is hilarious!! 7. The Amazing Spider-Man 2 - Peter and Gwen’s relationship drama, once again, steals the show! As does the action and visuals, however, an inconsistent tone and campy characters (Rhino and Max before he becomes Electro) bring the film down a notch. Also, I really like Dane Deehan’s Harry Osborn in this. 8. Spider-Man: Far From Home - Entertaining and funny at times, but Peter’s over reliance on Stark tech AGAIN, also another villain scorned by Tony, and Peter and MJ’s relationship coming out of nowhere, drag the film down for me. However, that being said, the action and visuals are stunning! 9. Venom: Let There Be Carnage - A really stupid film, but again, Venom as a character is so fun, and Carnage is brutal! If only it had an R rating.. 10. The Amazing Spider-Man - First half is interesting, Peter and Gwen’s relationship carries the film, Lizard feels underdeveloped, but overall at times its a weirdly edited, boring, and derivative film 11. Venom - Fun character, just shitty movie

The notion of fan service gets criticized too much. Some online say it "ruins cinema" and they sound so damn pretentious. With that being said, No Way Home used it wonderfully. Paying off characters of past versions and simply providing well realized scenes

Spiderman 2002 as a 16 year old is my number 1 too. For me the way Peter acts is so relatable in that movie. My favorite scene is actually when Peter and Mj and just talking about their future, and MJ sees how sweet Peter is, just to leave with Flash just a few minutes later😅

Here’s my list 1. Spider-Man 2 (One of the greatest comic book movies of all time) 2. The Amazing Spider-Man 2 (This used to be last place for me, but after rewatching it and understanding this is an alternate version, this definitely jumped up on the list. Plus No Way Home redeemed it) 3. Spider-Man: Far From Home (My personal favorite Spider-Man movie) 4. Spider-Man: Into The Spiderverse (This was a pleasant surprise when it was released and one of the best) 5. Spider-Man: No Way Home (A satisfying and epic movie that blew my mind in the second half) 6. The Amazing Spider-Man (Andrew and Emma are fantastic and this is my favorite score from any of these) 7. Venom: Let There Be Carnage (I had an absolute blast watching this) 8. Spider-Man (One of the very first movies I’ve ever seen, a great origin story) 9. Spider-Man: Homecoming (I love that it is small, simple, and funny) 10. Venom (Good but could’ve been better) 11. Spider-Man 3 (Now my least favorite)

@@mac8669 I disagree. For a 2.5 hour movie I thought the pacing was so good that I could’ve done another half hour. Spider-Man and Spider-Man 2 also have great pacing, so if you’re going to rank those two ahead (which is a valid opinion), I think pacing comparison isn’t a fair factor since all 3 films execute well.

I don't know why every time people forget that movies like Avengers and Spider-Man No way Home involves all the characters from previous movies, which in my opinion makes them not so "worthy" to compete against stand-alone character movies. Don't get me wrong, Spider-Man No Way Home is a blast of a movie, but it happens the same thing with Avengers movies you can't say that Avengers Infinity War is the best Iron Man movie, just because he appears in it, so the same applies to Spider-Man No Way Home and Spider-Man Into the Spiderverse. Spider-Man No Way Home is a great team up movie, but rely on all the past movies, this way Spider-Man 2 is the best Spider-Man movie by far.

i agree with your rankings on all holland films except no way home. I was actually floored at how 10/10 the entire movie was (even the first half) this movie truly used the MCU to reach the heights i never dreamed they could. Seeing interactions with characters like Dr Strange (A NYC based hero in the Marvel universe) is something i never thought we'd be able to see in live action even a decade ago

I agree. I also agree with him in his review of the movie about his issue with the part of them doing the spell and not even discussing the parameters beforehand but that is really my only issue with the whole film. I thought at the beginning they quickly and effectively went through all of what they needed too and I think the plot line of trying to collect all of the villains was very simple but it does it very well, just because something is simple doesn’t mean it’s bad. If they had too much going on it very well could’ve cluttered the movie similarly to Spider-Man 3 and TASM2. I’m glad they did things the way they did.

Sean got it right with No Way Home. First half of the movie is just dumb. It doesn't make any sense that strange will agree to make such a decision just because Peter ask him to do. And then after messing everything up peter still decide to be a good Idea to not send the villains back!. Spiderman beating the hell out of Strange to keep the cube doesn't make sense neither. Now that being said the second part of the movie is Awesome!!! 4 place seems accurate to me.

The parameters part doesn’t make sense. But I don’t see how the fight against dr strange is an issue, care to explain?

I feel like No Way Home is way too excused for all its flaws due that the fan-service stuff (even tho Tom's Spidey character development in the movie was great) But honestly, and sadly, I deeply think that even if the movie had a better director, better screenwriters and better cgi, most fans wouldn't even notice the difference.. I almost feel like that it is not that difficult anymore to make people absolutely adore a movie 😕

Yeah it uses fan service but they used it properly having all great Spiderman interactions along with the villains. It could’ve been so much worse if they purely relied on fan service for this film which was what I worried about. The pros outweigh of the cons imo

@@tomv2063 I agree man, it surely could have been worse that's for sure, but I can't help myself thinking that it also could have been so, so much better ! (better director screenwriters cgi .. like I said) It's just, we're never getting that feeling again, being back with Tobey and Andrew after all these years. They had one shot at this, and I think a lot of potential has been missed out, even tho for the most part, it was pleasant ☺️

@@codpro627 The list of someone who loved the Garfield movies. Thought the McGuire trilogy was alright with 1 being dissatisfying and 2 not feeling right even when I was a kid. Holland was enjoyable for being a part of the MCU. Lastly, the Venom movies were fun movies but fluffy and this is despite how it really mucks up characyers like Carnage.

I actually find ranking No Way Home very difficult, as in actuality as a film it is probably a 7/10, now I would still give it a 10/10, but that is purely based on the old and classic characters and villains. None of the villains in No Way Home were better here than they were in their original films, Green Goblin and Doc Ock were great, but better in their original films, Sandman was Ok, and Lizard was criminally underused and Electro didnt fit with the established TASM2 continuity and his character was completely changed and not for the better, Electro was overused in the film. But seeing everyone back and saying their lines again and embracing the memes was cool. I think the film was less of a film and more of an event, as after leaving the theatre really loving the film, I now find myself not liking the actual substance of the film, so in the future I think people will be more like "hey remember how cool it was when all the spidermen and their villians returned", rather than "remember No Way Home, that was such a good film." I just think all the classic elements which are great battle with the not so great MCU elements and actual story, and its incredibly difficult for me to say what Spiderman movies are better or worse, and on top of that I am of course fighting nostalgia. At the moment, all I an say for sure is that Spiderman 1 & 2 are definitely better, and perhaps TASM 1 and Spiderman 3 are better also, but I am extremely conflicted, but No Way Home is definitely the best of the MCU Spiderman movies, but I do think its just becuase of those classic elements and Nostalgia...

Green Goblin was way scarier in NWH and and they improved Electro so much from that awful movie it’s a far better film than Spider-man 3 and TASM even though the memes are funny and andrew was good they’re still below average mediocre movies lol

No way home gave me everything I wanted. It is one of the best. Top 3 into the spider-verse, spider-man 2 and no way home. Even the “bad” spider-man movies still have good things in it. Spider-man is so perfect I can’t wait for future stories.
