Now if you make fried rice for her again, you know her recipe and know what to serve her! Mixing egg yolks into the leftover rice is such a great technique! I often use this technique when I make my own fried rice so the egg flavour penetrates into the rice at best!

I used to enjoy going to Vietnamese restaurants and ordering fried rice. They just do it better than the traditional Chinese fried rice

The Vietnamese fried spring rolls (eggrolls) are the best out there, too. Blows all the other Asian eggrolls out of the water. Definitely try eating it the Vietnamese way: wrapped up in lettuce/greens/herbs and rice vermicelli then dipped in nuoc cham (flavored fish sauce).

@@justin.nguyen Yeah, but her way of cooking it was rather simple. Too simple even for most Vietnamese as there's usually more that goes into fried rice than that. It's the plainest Viet fried rice I've ever seen. LOL! She probably doesn't really know how to cook since most whom live in the city eat out due to the convenience and price of street foods there. I did like her method for coating the rice in egg yolks prior to frying, though.

@@leonthepros952 I'll take your word for it. But just judging from her fried rice alone, I'd say she cannot cook all that well...especially if that's her favorite food. I've never seen Viet rice that plain before and I grew up eating it. My SIL from Hai Phong makes some of the best fried rice I ever had.
