I agree, they do get better and better! I am on book 3 and she does make a decision on who she wants to be with. I hate love triangles that drag on and on as well.

I enjoyed By Book or By Crook too! I ended up binging the entire series in June. The series gets better and better with each book. I dislike love triangles too and I was good with the way the author handled it in this series although I would have preferred that it didn't happen at all. You are really making me want to pick up A Novel Murder. I love getting a cats perspective in a mystery. That may be the next book I pick up in July. How To Book A Murder sounds interesting to me too. I love a bookish cozy with a cat. The other cozies I read in June were Requiem for a Mouse and Murder at the Rusty Anchor. I enjoyed them both. I hope you have a fantastic reading month in July! 💛

Hi Amy, i know you like historic fiction and mystery, have you ever read books by C J Sansom? The series features barrister Matthew Shardlake, and set in 16th Century Tudor England during Henry the VIII time, it is a little more serious than cozy but the mystery is great and some of the characters in the books are using real people. there is now a tv series on disney+ based on his books, maybe you could be interested in this series.

Oh this is so funny. I loved 56 Days and disliked The Trap! I DNF’d Stay Awake (maybe it was the timing) but the Echoes of Memory sounds so good. If you like something between cozy and out and out murder mysteries, I’ve been enjoying David Rosenfelt’s Andy Carpenter series. Grover Gardner narrates and definitely brings Andy, the lead quirky character, to life. Kinda like Lisa Scottoline in her earlier books or maybe Janet Evanovich. I think my favorite reads for June were the Andy Carpenter series.

Two of my favorites that I read in June are the North Face of the Heart and the Invisible Guardian by Delores Redondo....so good. I believe Netflix made a series out of the Invisible Guardian trilogy. I really hope you love The Nothing Man, the only book that kept me up at night.

In June, I read: The Maid, The Death of Mrs. Westaway, The Bride Collector, and The Searcher. Of these, I enjoyed The Searcher the most and Death of Westaway the least. The only one on your list this video that I have read is Final Girl. I found it just okay, and after reading other Sagar books, decided he is not the author for me personally. Thank you for these videos of recommendations. They have been a huge help in finding new writers.

I read The Novel Murder and have the first 6 in the series. Found them at a book sale and grabbed them just because they are nice and cute with the bookmark and covers. Unfortunately when I checked, they can be a bit pricey so not sure how far I’ll get in the series but really enjoyed the first. It was a fast shorter read. Sometimes you need a shorter book.

Thank you for highly suggesting the Tirzah Price series. Book 1 was just delivered a little while ago and books 2/3 are coming from Book Outlet any day now. She is starting a new series called Lizzie and Darcy Mystery (her 4th book) with main characters Lizzie and Mr Darcy. Book 1 is called IN WANT OF A SUSPECT out Nov 12th. Hope you enjoy this as much as the The Jane Austin Murder Mysteries. 🌞📚
