Shinedown talks a lot about mental health. The lead singer Brent used to be an addict. His songs are powerful and have pulled me out of depression multiple time and got me through my nasty divorce.
Came for the Shinedown reactions, subbed for the positive messages. For this video I didn't really follow the message they were trying to portray either but the song is nothing but speaking the truth. The only thing that matters when you leave this world is what you left behind in people's memories. How did you love? Were you generous with your kindness? Were you caring with your family and your friends? Were you a part of your community? After we leave this earth you can have millions of dollars and it won't matter, the only real mark that you leave behind is in the memories of the people whose hearts you touched. If you did nothing but cause pain that's what you'll be remembered for as well. But eventually you'll be forgotten for that. The impact we make on others is the only thing that has the possibility of becoming immortal.
Shinedown has been making great music for 20 years. They have a ton of great songs!! I've met them a few times while shooting photos of their shows (I'm a photographer for a radio station) super nice guys!!
I think when he is saying we all have to answer for our life. plan and simple. I love Shinedown and Brent has a very powerful voice. I love you're reaction I can nothing but honesty coming from it. I love there music forsure
I'm a new subscriber. Your vibe is fun and positive. If you want go down the Shinedown rabbit hole, no complaints. Five Finger Death punch and Disturbed are also amazing bands.
Dude say what you want to say when you want to say it. It's not a mistake if that's what you think or feel. Lol. All these "critics" in the comment section. To me it means how did you treat the people in your life. How did you love the ones close to you. That's what you'll leave behind. That's what they'll remember. We all get sidetracked and lost in life. Just remember what's important to you and get back on track.
Goodness I can’t wait till , he gets to music, adrenaline , break shit songs out of pure hype, then emotional on the flow switches, then back to Rage! #inagoodway. I can’t wait m, just knowing how music , 808’s and the power of sound with no voice affects him in a reactor way. I’m still waiting!! Exciting. And #eky 606 boy here, grew up outside of pine like, close to Middleboro jackets !! Much love #creeksquad
Just found your channel now! Love your reaction to this and the honest dialogue as you were trying to piece it together. Got a subscription from me! I've seen a few comments recommend Cut the Cord and Sound of Madness, both are bangers but for a song with a huge message check out Shinedown-Daylight!! This band has gotten me through some tough times. They are one of 2 bands that I've never heard a song from that I don't like. Edit- If you do the song Daylight please do the live version. The crowd in the video is amazing.
They have been my absolute favorite band since their second album was released. Not that their first wasn't amazing, but I hadn't heard of them before that. That was in 2005. I saw them on tour more than 30 times the following year.
Maybe you are on your knees on your judgement day. Asking for forgiveness. I've often thought that heaven or hell is how you live on in other's memories. If you were a good person then that's your eternity. That person will always remember you that way. If you treated someone bad and they thought you were an ass then there's your eternal damnation. Always be an ass in their heart. So....how did you love, how did you treat the one's you crossed paths with. Friends, family, and strangers. That kinda is what you leave behind. Nothing physical. Just in memories. Stick your finger in a container of water and pull it out. Nothing physical . Nothing except the memory of how the water felt against your skin.
