Art dude in here, the finishing shine doesn't look like film but that was an acrylic panel he cut out. My 2 inputs: He either used transparent paint and thinned it down rather well, added the water slides, and THEN finished it with a transparent gloss (top coat). OR, like myself, he found out you can defuse MOST permanent marker paint into a thinner or alcohol base, and mix it in with the top coat. I usually do this for clear effect parts, since I like to run LED's through most of these. You also know out 2 birds with one stone with this method.
