Fun fact: if you dig down to bedrock and build beacons at the bottom, their range will increase from the bottom to the top of the world, so long as there isn't anything obstructing the path of the beacon's light (of course with exception the being glass). For the “Jeb_” sheep you could download a very small mod that adds colour changing wool from the “jeb_” sheep, it’s called Jeb_ wool, a very small unpopular mod but works great and seem less in vanilla !
