That's right CK3. Today we look at the Fallen Eagle mod for CK3 - one of the best CK3 Mods out there. We begin at the decline of the Roman EMpire and attempt to take advantage of the chaos to RECLAIM GAUL! That's right, we're forming GAUL in order to stop CK3 France from ever becoming a thing. Let's see if we can protect this forgotten Culture and lost faith in Crusader Kings 3.

You need to play a game where you start as a custom hellinist character and then create the kingdom of greece

Highly recommend starting in Sicily or Crete and swearing fealty to the Byzzies with religious protection. Take forced partition to also get title protection, and you basically just beat up the other vassals rather easily. Otherwise it's just a hassle

You and Red Hawk have quickly become some of my favorite Paradox RU-vidrs! This seems like an excellent mod, I really wish I had the money to get a new PC that can run CK3. Also, I would love to see you play an Ardabil to Persia campaign in EU4 with the Missions Expanded or Flavor Universalis mods.

I am playing ck3 on a potato. My PC died so I 'borrowed' my mom's laptop. For me it runs ck3 fine with an i3 processor. eu3 NOOOOO way

You should honestly try to run it if it goes free, which it sometimes does. It's surprisingly well optimized, much more than EU4 anyway

My 10+ y.o laptop can play ck3, and that poor thing can't play pinball and have Internet on the same time

@@crabieralloy51 I'll try it whenever there's a free weekend. My computer is coming up on 15 years old and I can only run EU4 on patch 1.30.6 with Toaster Universalis, so we'll see how it goes. It's nice to hear that CK3 is well optimized though, EU4's engine is a bloated mess at this point lmao.

Honestly, while this mod is far from bad and is very ambitious (and probably very fun) it kind of highlights why I think the 395 AD start date just isn't really practical for mods. It's quite difficult to recreate the historical collapse of the Western Empire outside of Italy from that date. Even more difficult to create a dynamic version that feels authentic and natural. Mind you, that doesn't mean I think people shouldn't try! Absolutely try! If we don't push the envelope of what's possible we don't get amazing mods like EUIV's MEIOU & Taxes. Absolutely try, but don't expect it to be "good enough" for a long time.

@@pieceofschmidtgamer the last time i played was a few months ago. you couldn't integrate daimyo which made forming japan as the imperal court quite impossible and since i was only a few provinces as the court, i couldn't even invade korea as they had a larger standing army than just me, and my vassals were effectively worthless and would not launch naval invasions(but that's an eu4 ai problem and not meiou and taxes)

I love this mod! Yes I want you to play as the Romans, but what you'll have to keep your fellow Twin Empire alive and well too, besides your own? I assure you, it's harder than what you think. I tried to keep the West from collapsing as the East for hours but they keep making dumb decisions, just like IRL :P

The reason that count or duke welsh guy got the cultural head was because most of the counties you holding were not of your culture or none of them are, so once that guy got enough counties converted to your culture bam.

A little disclaimer for us (gaulois), Gaul never exist, gaul come to gallus gallus (chicken in latin), cuz for julius we was some fucks, running around like dumbs, and whensome gaulois come to ROme they was like "DAMN BOYS THEY'RE ALL SAME" In gauls you got 100+ culture don't let movie win about our history plz

Take away the face cam! Pdx games were not meant to be played with face cams and it literally adds nothing to the video it’s just you concentrating on the screen! If anything it actually takes away more because it blocks stuff!
