Yes please count the extra likes in the comments, you absolutely have to keep this dress! Take it from someone older who has more than one garment on my why-did-I-ever-let-that-one-get-away list, that dress is STUNNING on you and deserves to be worn by someone who looks so amazing in it!
One of the things that Mattel has always done is that they send their product designers to fashion week in Milan. They would then make sure that the next Barbie releases were based on those designs. That meant that Barbie was always wearing the same styles by the time they got to the American public.
I'm honestly so impressed by how fashionable most of these outfits actually are. I always thought Barbie's outfits were ridiculous but seeing them on you, they are actually fire. Especially that heart dress, wow.
How on earth did you find a matching green leather pants and jacket set?! How in demand is this combination? 😂😂 I absolutely loved outfit #1 and want it!!
I CANNOT believe how cute all of these outfits were as real clothing. I loved every outfit. Also, you are incorrect about the color of the pink dress. It looks phenomenal on you but honestly all of the outfits did. Slay, Queen.
Hot Pink dress #3 is a killer! 10/10!! This would be my vote for the one you wear to the cinema!! Instantly identifiable as the fashion icon. A bit of styling for the curls would be the piece de resistance! Please, feel free to reach! Pink Dress #5 is genuinely classy and looks like it would get you onto a Red Carpet, with everyone wondering who you are. 10/10 for everyday wearability.
As a girl with wide feet, I feel like I must say 3 things. 1. Thank you for the compliment. I feel honored and I truly appreciate it. 2. I'm surprised you could find heels like that. It's actually pretty hard to find shoes when you have flat feet and I've yet to find a heel that's high, yet comfortable for my feet. 3. I personally am actually pretty clumsy. I fall plenty, but I'm told it's because I don't have a strong enough core so… there's that. Wide feet definitely aren't everything! 😊
I have a wide forefoot and flexible flat feet. They are duck feet on the ground but I need a massive arch in heels. I don’t know why heels try to put your feet at a 45 degree slant instead of being more like 90 degrees
Flat feet! Reminds me of my "Barbie" doll from Christmas 1969. She wasn't Barbie. My sister got a lovely Barbie with long brunette locks and I got Barbie's groovy teenage sis, Francie with her short curled bob and psychedelic hip-hugger bell bottoms, hot pink crop top and FLAT FEET! It was so hard to find more shoes for poor Francie. She basically only had the single pair of hot pink flats and that was it! And really, none of Barbie's clothes ever fit her slender flat-chested figure. Poor Francie. But I loved her anyway.
3:43 Ngl I'd actually wear that out if I had it 8:28 Now I want to buy shoes... 10:28 That is easily the pinkest outfit I've ever seen in a video 12:05 I know a few people who dress like this daily, they're fun outfits to wear from what I've heard 17:16 You look stunning in all of these outfits, but this is definitely my favorite. I think I know what I want for Christmas now Amazing video, and I hope your bank account heals
The 2nd outfit looks 100000000x better than the Barbie version. Yours actually looks modern and fashionable. I have no idea what era Barbie's version was ever fashionable in. Nice job ^.^
I actually think the hot pink dress suits you very well and it's the hair and makeup that were throwing you off and making it look like it doesn't go with your colouring. I'd love to see you give it another go as Elena instead of as Barbie.
Yeah hair and makeup are accessories as well. She kept doing low pony tails and it was driving me nuts cause it not only made the wog look bad but it also drags down the look
10/10 for all of them except the workout outfit, which gets a 10 for Barbie style, but a People of Walmart 3 for wearability. Deeply in love with the premiere dress! You look amazing!!
I guess people really don't know that the people who design for Barbie have actual backgrounds in fashion and are even designed by famous fashion designers like Bob Mackie (who designed costumes for Cher)
It'd be tricky to arrange I imagine, but how cool would it be to have a collab with a sewist youtuber (like Bernadette Banner, Rachel Maksy, Prickly Alpaca, etc.)? I recall the corset venture, and a cosplay vid, and obviously fashion vids in general, so I feel like it'd be a good match! Perhaps dressing in different historical eras for a week or learning how to make cosplays, etc. :)
I almost can't believe how good these outfits turned out to be. No shade on you, but damn girl! You did good! And you were totally selling the 1 pound wig. No.1 outfit is the last, you totally rocked it! That dress looks sooooo good on you and is almost a perfect match to Margot's. Dare I say you did it better? I think you did.💖💖
The answer to your question is a resounding YES! Blue eye shadow was crazy popular in the late 70s and throughout the 80s and very early 90s. Then made the biggest comeback of its life at the turn of the millennium. I didn't say it was okay. I said that's how it was. 😆
The heart outfit is so good! I kept thinking that this is the one you should wear to the cinema instead, it fits the vibe so well but doesn't feel too grandiose or costumy ❤
I keep watching beauty influencers using pink eyeshadow and yelling at them through the screen that Barbie wears blue eyeshadow! Fools! Then again, I’m old and in the 70’s when I played with my Barbie head she only had blue and lavender eyeshadow. I could swear that my dolls also had blue eyeshadow like a permanent tattoo. I loved your huge effort in making Barbie come to life! The first outfit was really quite chic. The heart outfit and pink dresses were fantastic too! I think the leg warmer outfit needed some rollerblades! The heart shoes are fantastic! ❤❤ I think a good follow-up video would be how you are styling your Barbie treasures in real life.
This was such a fun video. You look good in pink. Just saying. It may be your color. They all looked like the barbie outfits. My personal favorite was the one with hearts. I don't think most of them would work in public unless it was a very special occasion. The green jacket outfit was the only one I felt would really work in actual life. You looked smashing in all of them.
Everyone, we NEED 20K likes on this video. Seriously. Come on now. It's a win-win. We get to see EB going to watch the Barbie movie as Barbie and EB would also be able to pay for the outfit from the sweet, sweet ad revenue.
I can’t believe how good this outfits were, in terms of fashion the pink dress is the only one that looks like a bit outdated but still nice right so 10/10 on both categories and 8/10 on wearability on that hot pink dress
I adore the dedication that went into this video. The heart dress corset combo was so cute and even though I don't usually care about shoes, those heart ones were definitely gorgeous. These all look surprisingly wearable, though the last one would obviously need a bit more of an occasion. Great job!
Such a fun video ❤ I loved the iridescent pants on the first outfit. The heart outfit was absolutely adorable! And yes, I think you should wear a Barbie outfit to see the movie (your pick of outfit cause I think you should feel comfortable while sitting down for 2hrs, haha).
*Green was Fantastic, Red was Beyond Words gorgeous, BOTH Pinks were STUNNING on you! Better Than M.R. on BOTH Proportions for Barbie and the LOOK! AMAZING!!!* 💕🤍❣️
I don't know how I got here, I never even played with Barbies, but I am surprised how well these outfits translated to real life! You looked great in all of them, but the heart dress + corset combo was the best, in my opinion.
Love all the Barbie outfits! My favorite outfits are the hot pink dress and the pink evening gown at the end. You did an awesome job recreating them. I am so impressed. That speaks volumes of how hard you worked on the video. Lol Great entertainment Elena!
Personally I think the hot pink looks awesome on you. Lose the pink boa and the outfit was slay! The leg warmer outfit I can’t call fashion, but damned impressive all the same. The heart outfit, genuinely think you should wear it! As for the last one, it was just perfect 🤩
