@watex to some extent yes the experiment was interesting but not likely to be accurately depicted with 100% accuracy to the events in the movie which might be impossible to recreate , nevertheless I did enjoy it 👍

Brian's gt-r was going 160 km/h in the movie 2f2f. The speedometer is shown and if you pay attention in one of the shots, you can catch a gliy of the speedometer where it says km/h. Being the car is right hand drive, it's safe to assume that the car would have been an direct from Japan import. Japanese use the metric system for everything. So brian's speed over the bridge would have actually been slower than the supras 115mph. Being 1.6 km= 1 mile. We can deduce that Brian was going close to 100mph at the time of his jump when he flew over top if the supra. As a random bonus, if you watch the opening credits of 2f2f, when they're setting up the detour barriers, you can hear someone rip a fart 🤣.

@@ForzaMonkey in the movie 2f2f, it was set in miami and the car was purchased from someone in the desert when Brian left Cali and was on the run from the cops. So the car would have been an import. But if it's a Japanese car in japan, then it would be considered a domestic. Same as chevy, Ford, and Dodge are considered domestic here in America. But nowadays, parts are made in place, shipped to another and badged accordingly. Dodge is now owned by fiat which is Italian, some toyotas and nissans are assembled in america, ford and chevy are built globally in other countries including the us. So I guess you could say pretty much all cars are domestic now. It's really confusing lol.
There's companies that do conversions on JDM clusters for importing to the US, so that they accurately read in MPH (even though the word KM/H will still be there). Because on those clusters there's no small numbers for MPH at all to reference.

Honestly seeing the bridge experiment with the S2000's speed made me realize she really played it safe which is the most realistic thing to do in the situation. Well done on that part coz I'm most impressed by that one.
Great simulation. But there is one part you missed is that they actually hit the plane’s flaps, which is different from the wings. The flaps were pulled down during take off, and this create huge drag. The effect of that may not seems obvious on smaller aircraft because the power weight ratio is usually higher. But on huge aircraft, this amount of drag can slow it down and prevent it from gaining altitude and speed.
@@SrtLv4x I do not feel like correcting you, but in the 1990s, it was very rare to have a JDM car IN JAPAN which measured speed in MPH. also, NOS does not increase your top speed. NOS increases your power output, allowing you to ACCELERATE faster. (acceleration and speed are not the same. Acceleration is a RATE OF CHANGE in speed, speed is actually how fast you are going.)
Where did you find a runway long enough to recreate the entire scene? Thanks to the magic of movie editing, the runway in the film is nearly twice as long as the longest runway in the entire world.
6:55 certainly a different outcome, although you did hit the truck with the whole front of the car instead of just the right side. However that still wouldnt work, in the movie they used a ramp right next to the truck. The car aims for that ramp and gets launched like it did...
If anything, taking off with more flaps would help, obviously normal planes take off with 5 or 15 degrees of flaps but a plane can still takeoff with full flaps.
I just watched the first one so far, and it was obvious the plane would still take off before you even started. IRL cargo planes carry thousands of pounds of cargo, so of course it'd still take off fine lol
when Dom hits the truck it doesn't go completely straight, it hits it with a small angle that would allow it to turn the car in the air and also beamng is not 100% but it is the closest to a realistic game, but the rest certainly makes sense but I don't know if wooden boards have the same weight as a charger and a land rover
@@domonic7388 It's not, because I think, if it's a recreation then it has to be the same as shown in the film, and I know that there are mods for the same vehicles in the film
Two things: one; there is a charger model that is extremely accurate of you want to use that instead of the coronet, the creator used a vanilla car brand name for it, and two; it would be interested to see some other movie stunts including other f&f series ones.
@@tomj4406 boy, this was long ago. Ok, the Bruckell Caldera is a good mod, but tgere is another mod based off of the Coronet mod that is more accurate and more modern. It is made by a Frenchman, and updates have been in the works for years, but the creator hasn't publicly released the update yet since it is unfinished. Last I saw PBR textures and jbeam improvements were the most recent fixes.
In fast and furious 6, they attached the cars to the flaps and pulled them down. The position they were in was for takeoff, which helps the plane generate lift at slower speeds and as the scene progresses and the plane begins to lift off, the weight of the cars began to pull the flaps down, which no doubt would have affected its flight performance and takeoff run. I’m not saying it’s 100% true, but it could be possible to affect an aircraft in such a way to prevent it from taking off.
5:24. wait, the nissan gtr skyliner34 was only sold in japa and a few other countries. heoreticeally, the gtr was from japan. japan uses metric system so the gtr was going 160 km/h
For the last stunt I believe it was a ramp mixed with hydraulics to send the car into a spin over the bonnet of the truck, fun to see these recreated for realism though!
I remember watching a video about some of the stunts they did, and for the bridge jump they had custom built vw based buggies with the import car skin on them to make them look like the real deal.
If you watch the behind the scenes in Fast 1, there’s a steel beam attached from the ground to the hood of the semi and that’s how Vin Diesel gets that barrel roll when he hits it.
It’s cause the views are counted by people who watch more than 4 seconds and some people like in the beginning of vid without wast hint for more than a second
EXACTLY! Nothing wrong with the stunts other than that, I thought they were well thought out and calculated, but exactly, dom started to steer away at the last second hitting the very front of the semi rather than head on with the front axle
If you watch the making of scenes they added a bar to lift the challenger up over the hood of the truck. When it comes down and rolls it actually takes out the camera with the angle you see in the movie.
Its probably still not possible but what brought the plane down wasn't just cars randomly attached. Brian with his shot had hit one of the main flaps on the wing, causing it to be out of the take off position. This in the movie is what caused the plane to crash. The flaps allow lift and directional guidance. I think the test should be done again but with the flaps on 1 side of the plane compromised as they were in the movie
