Kitura Thank you for your comment. As for the circumcising boys there is actual controlled way and reason for that (cleanliness). For girls it is allowed(with strick rules!) but usually not neccessary and that girl's circumcition that islam is talking about is NOT in ANY way near the mutilation people do these days. That they just brutally cut everything off. That is not islamically correct. As for the "hitting the wife" i would like you to read that ayah again and understand the actual meaning behind it before you go around preaching your stuff. You do not abuse women in your life in islam period. No matter what the haters say. If you read english translation and not the actual arabic Quran you loose a lot in the meaning and this is too detailed to go into deeper in here. I wanted to ask you from where you get your islamic "knowledge" from? Just as a curiosity. If you are wondering why somethings are different for men and women etc(which you call hipocrisy) then you need to know that men and women were created differently,we have different roles in the society (women's much more respectable than what the society has thought you to think) and situations are different. I'm not gonna go into too much detail because this is not the place for that and your mind is still fully plurred with the society and surroundings that affected you.

I thought I explained that all of my Islamic knowledge was from Muslims directing me to Islamic sources. You can send ten thousand paragraphs trying to right the wrong of Islam but in the end...it is not compatible with current morality. So, if you want to be Muslim you have to stand in opposition to morality (which holds kindness, consent, honesty, etc.) as its standards, or else you have to admit that you hold thousand year old pedophile ramblings as your standard. I know what you'll choose, and you will justifiy it through frightening arguments, but honest people know the reality of the religion that you chose.

But (and again, anything I say that is hurtful to you may Allah (subhanahu wa ta'ala) have mercy on me, as He knows what is in my heart and how I speak is never meant to upset anyone) since you are not a Muslim and are in a way an outsider of Islam you cannot understand intrinsically how the media blasts Muslims and Islam. You might have an inkling but never the reality as a Muslim in the West (America, UK, Europe, etc.

It's uneducated, and there's no excuse for that in the 21th century where education is a click away. There are medical studies on the subject, available for free on the internet. The whole idea that a penis is cleaner without a foreskin is just a myth. No excrement and part of a human body, that is not an anomaly, a mutation in specific individuals, is supposed to be taken away, because it is there for a reason. Foreskin makes a penis "cleaner", in fact. In protects the head of the penis. If you are referring to smegma as the dirty part, the thing that both women and men produce, well, again, smegma is there for a reason. A solution to an area getting "dirty" as an excrement is building up is to clean the area, not to remove the part that produces the excrement(which is definitely not dirt and has a function). Would you cut off the part of an armpit that produces sweat? The answer is obviously no. Circumcision is completely unnecessary, people/children are caused pain, it messes with self sufficiency that human body possesses.

Kitura Then you missed the point in my video. I was not upset she was covered in a blanket or any dark cloth. Like you said I sometimes dress in a clothing that resamples it a fair bit and I love it. But the blanket was not my point. My point was that they tried to make and reinforce an image in people heads that people who look like that (people who wear big dark cloak-type clothes i.e. muslim women) and treated this way and abused and oppressed. That was my point. That they delibarately ment to use that look for this article. Cos I think you can use other ways to depict darkness that the victim felt. Thank you for your comment. It is always interesting to hear how people see my videos and how something can be misinterpreted depending on the viewers' previous beliefs on the subject

Miss Ines I have read the Qur'an and studied it with help from people who understand the Arabic, as well as listening endlessly to Islamic scholars on topics relating to Islamic practices. I could go on and on about the ways I have tried to be as properly informed about Islam as humanly possible. So, don't worry. I got it.

In several of my videos I explain why I wear the niqab. For me it is akin to wearing a large sweatshirt during the winter. There is literally nothing shameful about my face or body or hair or anything, but I feel very warm and happy with some fabric over my face. I have no problem removing it. I have no fear of wearing western clothes because I live in the west where men are not allowed to behave as animals. Men have their issues, but at least in my country those issues are not socially accepted because I'm not "covering properly" and because I am not owned property simply because I own a vagina in my body. You can make up pretty stories all day long about the safety of Islamic countries but...the statistical reality of the women living there says otherwise.

The problem is I never said it is rosy to live in a muslim country. You made that assumption about me and keep putting words in my mouth. It's nothing new really. The other problem is that you think it is socially not accepted to harrash women in the west. Just because there are more laws against it doesnt mean they are completely giving the respect to women. Why is punishment for economic crime more severe than for rape? Why is the rape victim accused for the rape? Or abuse victim? All this is happening in the west as well as in the east. Wether you like to admit that or not. If the harrashment of women would not be socially accepted in the west it would not be happening at all. You just need to wake up to that reality.

A lot of pretty words to avoid the reality that Islamic countries are easily ,and by far, the most dangerous for women on the planet earth. I thought I made it clear that the problems the west faces are due to Abrahamic principles that are still dying off (or at best, ancient patriarchal systems that don't represent the whole of humanity, let alone the most powerful systems alive today) and not as quickly as we would like, while the Islamic middle east holds on very very tightly to these disturbing and monstrous ideas that keep women in virtual chains. You're concerned that SOMETIMES men get away with rape in the west, although the government is built around destruction of the rape of women, while ALWAYS women are not allowed to drive in Saudi Arabia, and you think that is not any kind of indicator whatsoever of the problem within ISLAM? Do you honestly think that?
