This poor man. People dont realize how damaging dental issues can be on your mental health. My Dentist is an angel and he was able to give me my life back. Please be kind to people with dental issues. Its free and its important.

I'm not sorry in saying that the provider that charged him the money for the failed teeth should be forced to pay that money back.

After paying $20,000 dollars for my wife's oral surgery and implants, they loosened up and came out after about 5 years. When we talked to the oral surgeon/dentist, he said that it sometimes happens. He had the nerve to say he would redo them for half price. Needless to say we left. My wife now has a regular set of dentures.

I had multiple horrible dental experiences growing up but I finally found a great dentist and my life has turned around. Feels good to be able to smile without being embarrassed.

What a Beautiful Smile! I to have endured years of break offs at the gum line. It's a nightmare! Mine went bad from 27 orthopedic surgeries, the anesthesia, the medication etc for many years. Now I'm older done with surgery's but left with no teeth and an empty personality! I'm on Social security now and can't afford to get financed. Your one of the lucky ones! Take care of your smile! They are so beautiful!

I kinda understand where he's coming from. I currently have braces, and once i realized my teeth were straight and i didn't have to feel self-conscious about my smile, i cried like a baby at my next braces appointment! Im soooo happy for this man! Smile every second of the day! You deserve it! ❤

I have learned over the decades that dentists are human, therefore many are average with a few that are truly talented. It took me decades to find the help I needed for a healthy pain free smile. It’s been three and a half weeks since my surgery. I went to Nuvia in Nashville. I’m still in the healing phase but am really glad I took the chance. The hardest part for me is recognizing myself in the mirror. After 48 years of seeing myself in a certain way, it has taken time to get used to the new smile, but I’m really starting to like it. Dr Goodman was super nice and helpful. I just hope I heal properly and get through the next few months. So happy for you getting your teeth fixed. So important.

It is really wonderful to see this man smile so big and bright! After a lifetime of not feeling at all confident about my smile, I can relate. WOW very well done everyone good job helping this poor gentleman, i was terrified going through my full tooth removal and jaw reduction surgery for room for dentures and NEVER thought i'd eat a pleasant meal again... it just goes to show PROFESSIONALS WHO ACTULLY CARE do the best work and i think it's because their secretly SUPER HEROS lol SO glad for this working out well for this kind brother GOD BLESS Y'ALL

I have looked at several implants, I came upon Nuvia while I was looking at the Bible app. What a coincidence! I have had dentures for over 20 years. Now the top has a hole in it and there always needing reline, miserable , confidence breaker. I don’t smile much anymore. I want my golden years to have a great smile for my wife and I. I am gonna go to appointment and see if I can get a Colgate smile.

As someone who works with dental implants and who sees good work and bad work all the time, I'm sorry you had to suffer through that. It's unfortunately all too common that unqualified doctors place implants or patients seek cheap alternatives without followups. I'm glad it worked out for you in the end.

I've had some tooth trouble and it was horrific. The level of trouble this poor fella had is another level though. Gotta wish him good health in the future.

Sitting here with multiple broken teeth and lots of pain in my mouth and crying watching this man’s reaction praying that one day maybe this can be me and I can feel beautiful again.

I recently had a broken tooth fixed and one with big chips and some decay(Both incisors). It sounds a bit petty but I rarely opened my mouth for months while deciding what actions to take. I was always proud of my teeth and took good care of them, generally. Your two top front teeth are the first things a person sees when you open your mouth. Of course worse things could be happening but your dental health is deeply connected to your mental health. I got them fixed this past Friday(19 July 2024) and I am so much happier. I keep looking in the mirror to make sure they are still there and that I actually had it done. I am so happy for this man.

I broke my jaw when I was 9 years old. My dad had his teeth pulled when he was in navy because he had such bad acne. My grandpa had them also. My twin brother had them also ! I want to break the hereditary in the blood line. I lost my brother 13 yrs ago I know he’ll always be with me someway or another. He’ll be glad I have new teeth. I took a few bumpy roads in my life I think I have paid for it. Losing your best friend isn’t easy. He blessed my wife and told me she made me a better man ! I just want my smile back so I can give her a lot of smiles. She the apple of my life. I wanna eat a apple with her, instead of eating g one in pieces.

My dentist and my orthodontist are like my best friends. They have changed my life.

Thank heavens I have an honest dentist. One of my fillings fell out after eight months and my dentist replaced it for free. Feel so sorry for this man. He’s been well and truly shafted.

Paul I could feel your pain 100% started my journey in 2019 with dentures that were ill fitting. My lower dentures never fit so I started just wearing my tops and I got new dentures made but unfortunately my bone loss was to much the bottoms wouldn’t stay even though they were a much better fit! It’s now 2022 and I still don’t have bottoms because of my bone loss I’m already at $20000 and because i cant use my top and bottom teeth I’ve gotten severely choked a few times and my weight has decreased

I feel you, Bro. I also had a bad experience with my 2 previous dentist. But, in a different dental procedures. My first experience was 2 of my tooth had a decay and my first dentist advice me to have it extracted and put a fixed bridge. I didn't accept her recommendation due to I was going back and forth to her office previously due to a bad smell on my lower left molar. All she did was "curate" or bleeding the gums but there was no improvement for more than a year. After that my wisdom tooth got extracted. Furthermore, the bad smell continues and lasted for another year. I confronted my dentist why she didn't inform me about the decay during my panoramic x-ray with regards to my wisdom tooth extraction. She replied, "it was a different area." I may not be a dentist but I know how to analyze things. Her reply was unacceptable and pisses me off! It was her obligation as a physician to inform the patient of the overall condition of his/her teeth considering there was already a panoramic x-ray. But, she just waited for the situation to get even worse 😡😷 Out of my dissatisfaction, I looked for another dentist. My Mom recommended me to another dentist to have a second opinion. I was hopeful that time because the dentist told me that she can save my tooth for not being extracted. She recommended root canal treatment. The approach of my new dentist was not vocal about the assessment of my periapical x-ray before doing the procedure. I thought, it is just normal to her. So, I didn't mind asking her. This is due to my Mother's recommendation. She just performed the treatment for my 1 tooth. I even asked her, "if it is ok to do so because based on my x-ray there was also a slight decay on the other tooth?" She replied, "let us performed it for 1 tooth on that time." After the procedure, I felt relieved. But, that only lasted more than a year. I went back to her clinic again because I felt throbbing pain on my other tooth. This was the same tooth that has a decay based on my previous x--ray. She recommended to have a root canal treatment again. After the procedure, the throbbing pain still remains and lasted for more than 2 months. Due to this discomfort I consulted another dentist. Just to find out on the assessment that my previous dentist didn't remove the decay on my first root canal and also has a leakage. This means it was not sealed completely that makes the decay even worse. Also, for my second root canal (premolar) the stem that was placed was not level compare to the other canals. Now, the dentist recommends for an extraction of my two tooth and have a flexible bridge 😔 For me, if this was only diagnose earlier and performed correctly I will not have my 2 tooth extracted...

Ppl don’t realize how hard this is to go through. And I can’t believe you’ve lived through it and stayed alive. This is all life threatening when serious issues arise. We are all so glad that some good forces had your back. You didn’t give up and your resources stayed with you. God Bless you!

I can't even begin to tell you about my horrific dental life. Failed implants done in Taiwan (where I was living) gaslighting...he pulled my wisdom tooth resulting in Trigeminal Neuralgia (gaslighting) TMJ on both sides...finally I went to a dentist (after so many others) who was able to get my bite right...still 10 years later need to take pain killers for the TGN. Also sprouted tinnitus and burning pain in my ear. My one implant was so infected it finally was pulled out in Cambodia (lucky the only dentist in the area who knew about this had done all his learning in Thailand which is a very good place to have your teeth done). Still not done...bad root canals the whole 9 yards, but I don't have TMJ which is fantastic. now in Poland right. Go to get a mouth guard for night - has taken her 4 attempts and it is useless. Not much luck hey. Am originally from Canada.

I have had a lot of problems in my mouth since I got implants. Sore tongue...swollen tdte buds ..dry mouth...etc.

The doctor speaks a lot about longevity. So how long do they last on average? And what happens after that?

I am happy for this guy. Great job. I need false teeth and I wish I could get something like this done but it is not in the cards for me. I am losing weight cause I can't eat right. Never underestimate the value of teeth.

I had mine done by another provider and I’m so unhappy and depressed😭The temps were horrible and pushed over to my left side so it bulged the left side of my mouth and face. I was told I would get more back molars and I did not get them so now I have no back teeth and chewing sucks. I tried in my mock finals and they looked much better and I was told they would be fixed compared to the temps. Well I just got my zirconias a couple weeks ago and they are giving me denture face😭😭😭and they are still thicker on my left side and it’s very noticeable. I wasn’t given the option of changing my temps at all until I was happy but promised the finals would be different and they are not. I’m so self conscious and everyone else sees it. I feel like I’m being gaslit to accept these… I go in a week for them to check my bite. I want them redone until I’m happy and they are telling me “this is it”. My adult children gifted me this surgery for Christmas and were charged $50,000. I’m disabled and could have never done this for myself. To be told I have to settle seems so unethical and it causing me so much distress. The only thing I really had going for me, due to my disability, was my beautiful smile and face. And now it’s gone

Happy for this guy..I know your pain bro..Had all but 6 teeth removed a year ago got dentures and partial..Partial has ruined my 6 teeth i have on bottom..Top Denture doesnt fit anymore.Spent 10k and now i just eat soft food with 6 teeth i got. I do believe my dentist was more interested in his Financial gain than my needs...So happy you found your smile.

Heck I had two implants to hold in my bottom dentures BIG mistake The process, healing time etc was grueling to the tune of 3 months Better off with going with regular dentures I've lost 30 lbs and unable to eat much of anything And I went to a 5 star dentist

Congrats they are beautiful , I don’t see this dentist but I too had one implant fail, I needed 3 surgeries , a week in the hospital due to infection and am again on my journey to finally get my lower teeth finally, luckily I’ve no lasting damage except a bad scar and some nerve damage but with time it’s healing. And yes they are extremely expensive . I was blessed by my boyfriend who helped this dream bcus before , I could barely pay rent much less get implants . I started losing teeth at a young age, not for lack of taking care I’ve been told genetics but who knows .

What is the cost for the procedure? Then what is the reoccurring expense or up keep?

I could only imagine getting new teeth like this. 😢

I just had my first tooth extraction a few days ago (besides having my wisdom teeth removed). It was #18, the bottom left 2nd molar, and the root was like a brick! The whole thing was this square solid mass that had a huge hole in the side right above the gumline from a previous cavity that had been filled. The filling fell out almost two years ago and I couldn’t find a dentist until now! They said I have about 5 years or so before the bone will start to recede and that makes me really nervous. Should I think about getting an implant just for one missing tooth?

I've had partials for about 2 years and hate it

Yeah, mine are messed up, too. The only put posts in the top. They put 4 but was afraid one wasn’t going to hold, so they put a 5th one in. Of course, it didn’t work, so he had to take out the 4th one. Turns out they punctured my left sinus cavity, so everything smells like rotten meat or dead tissue. They were going to punch the holes in the upper denture. They took more x-rays and the 5th post was gone! I didn’t swallow it and I didn’t blow it out of my nose, so I don’t know what happened to it. I’ve heard that they out metal magnets in the upper denture holes so that they stay fastened better. That’s not what they are doing. They put holes in the denture (3) and they messed up the upper left hole. So now I have to go back and have them refit that mistake. Then will cut out the roof of the mouth on the dentures, but I can’t see how it’s going to work. I’ve been without teeth for about a year now. I work in hospitality where your smile is you bread and butter. I’m still wearing Covid masks. I don’t see any hope of this getting fixed. Ever.

There is nothing like a dental nightmare - especially when a dentist CAUSES it. I've had a dentist put me in the hospital, near death from Sepsis from an incompetent root canal. When I got out of the hospital, he phoned me, asking for the $1,500.00 for the root canal. I wished him luck collecting. I've had another dentist do a hard sell on one $7,000.00 implant instead of a $3,000.00 bridge. When I said no, he deliberately made the bridge too short so I couldn't chew on that side - to teach me a lesson, that I should have had the implant. When I shopped for another dentist to redo the bridge, one of them called him & strongly suggested he refund me the $3,000.00 - which he did.

Car accident shattered my teeth 6 yrs later I got enough to get my teeth fixed in 2020 dentist said yes I was eligible for implants she said it'll be 6 to 9k for permanent an 35k for temp teeth. I asked if I could pay now she said no just wait 3 months so I said ok. Paid 35k for Temps ,3 months go by ,went to get my perms she said it'll be 19,000 so 4 years later I still have Temps that break an teeth fall out I gotta superglue them back in place

I wish i was able to get dental work done. All of my teeth on the tope are broken, and my bottoms are falling out. I'm embarrassed all the time and ashamed. I don't qualify for benefits, i have bad credit, and i have no money. My teeth are one of the main reasons i hardly talk to anyone. I haven't smiled in years and i don't enjoy food at all anymore. I wish i had the opportunities that this guy had. I do wish him well with everything in the future.

Getting ready to do the all in 4 procedures for my wife and I. We were told we are good candidates. Went to another dentist for a second opinion, this dentist told us we were not good candidates and recommended mini implants? Who do we trust? Are they just out for our money?
