In Nilou bloom, you should build Nilou with as much HP as possible (her second passive gives her bloom cores extra dmg based on her max HP). Build the dendro appliers with EM.

i also wanted layla, because she was the only 4 star i was missing. i got c6 dori, c6 kuki, c0 nahida all for ONE layla

Baizhu is technically the first dendro catalyst, he just hasn't been released since now, so technically, both Nahida AND Baizhu are the first dendro catalysts And yes, even back then we knew he was going to be a catalyst because of his game files

Lomine's burst works great with Nilou. It gives constant blooms.

GIve Nilou LOTS of HP and whoever is going on rotation after you put hydro down with nilou (Should be a dendro character) should have LOTS of EM. Nilou doesn't 100% need talents but; Prioritize burst if she is off field/sub dps or skill if she is on field/main dps. So if you are using her as support go for the burst. Side note: I love when you collect the specialties to a song. I really appreciate that editing it makes me very happy. Thank you.

fun fact the dance nilou has in her idle animation is the same as the one in subzerous festival i.e her dedicated dance to nahida i guess ( idk if i spelled it wrong and idc) i mean its pretty obvious but ppl who dont know , well now you know

With nilou bloom, you stack HP% on her, then the character that generates the blooms (in a standard comp that would be nahida or kokomi) you stack full em on them

with mihoyo u never know they have put 2 different pyro claymore onto standard banner before a single geo made it.

For healing in a nilou bloom team, you can always just use the "Traveler's Handy Sword" on whoever is going to attack on field. However, if you fused them all away, you cant get any more of them since they are a mondstat chest item, so you can also instead get the black sword form the battle pass. I do not know which heals better but there are some options for healing in a nilou bloom team regardless of a lack of dendro or hydro sword healers.

You did about 14k bloom at the end good progress. I would recommend you someone like Layla as a shield so you dont take bloom damage, you can replace xingqiu with her because the only bloom that are actually doing damage (Nilou's super blooms) can only be triggered by Nilou's hydro application

Yay another Swords Only! I caught up a week ago, I really enjoy this series! And losing that 50/50 wasn't really a huge problem. At least you got Jean, then you could get C6 Layla. But you said "Baizhu is the 1st dendro catalyst user"... Nahida still exists, she is even on the banner...

I’m also working on getting my two main teams talents built up right now rather than focusing on artifacts and it’s nice to see swords only again :) congrats on the constellations and progress!!

70k HP for Nilou without her weapon is just really hard if not impossible, not even with two tenacity two voroukasha and all hp% pieces with hydro resonance to boot.

Nilou main here. You want to stack as much HP as you can on her for bloom support build. This way you increase your whole teams dmg, while stacking EM increases Nilou's personal dmg. She is very worth leveling up to 90 (HP increase is quite significant). 2 pc ToM and 2 pc Vourakasha's glow (new set) are BiS for bloom support build. Substats are literally watever, though you can look for some EM and ER if you'll level her burst. edit: congrats on getting so many constellations!

7:19 that, Java, is one of genshin's greatest mysteries, right next to what the travellers did before coming to Teyvat and what the developers were on when they made Dehya That being said, from my experiments it seems all characters can and often do trigger blooms, which is why the damage fluctuates, so em is good on ANYONE in Nilou bloom teams Then again, her passive works on everyone so obly build em if you want to it's not necrssary or that lucrative

i have been here since 2020 and ima give some tips tip 1: it doesn't really make a difference if you level up nilou's talents unless you want dps, but if you want a bloom team that doesn't use to many recourse's yet does good dmg, 6,6,6 is good enough for nilou tip 2: most people sould know this but hyper bloom does more dmg than bloom itself if built correctly tip 3: use kuki for hyper bloom(i know she isnt the best for hyper bloom but so is keqing), and for bloom itself, the regular tean sould do the job just fine tip 4: if your teams are lacking application, then use a character that spreads certain elements easier, and faster thats all the tips i have for right now.

New sub here, just been binging your OnlySpells and OnlySwords series, and damn your VTuber avatar just looks like a barista that's just had it with everyone and everything, relatable. This OnlySwords series really speaks to me because for a while now the main team (AR 58 at the time of posting) that I've been running has been only sword users, not really as a challenge (though it has been quite challenging, experienced similar pains) but just as a "roleplay" thing. I've kinda just paired off my characters because I'm a degenerate shipper, please no flame. So I've ran Aether/Ayaka since pulling the latter and Bennett/Kuki for a bit before Layla showed up, found her more fitting, so swapped Kuki for Layla. May or may not swap Layla for Nilou, if I ever manage to pull her (HoYoverse please, don't deny me again, I'm at about 72 pity). I just felt like having my pairs running the same weapon would be cool, for this team only because of Aether/Ayaka. I know this isn't optimal, C6 Bennett makes things a little more difficult but I work around it. Dendro Traveler and Bennett burn so much they almost act like DPS together. I do have more meta-focused teams, but I know they're probably nowhere near Abyss ready. My heavily invested Ayaka still doesn't feel like she deals as much damage as she should (4pc Blizzard, C1, Anemona sword, lvl 90), even after being inspired to max out weapons and get more gold artifacts because of you. I just don't have all golds because my luck just isn't that good, I'm lucky that I got two golds that got decent stats (no def or def%). Though, after pushing her a bit further, I did go from ~2500 crit to ~4k crit. Idk if I'm doing something wrong or if it's just what I'm able to do with what I've got. I honestly have no idea how people can run bows, I'd like to see an "OnlyBows" series for my own education on the matter. I have a hard time wrapping my brain around bow gameplay because it's so different to everyone else, even catalysts. I can and do use bows on occasion when I have to, because I'm not a masochist. The other weapons all mostly play the same way, there's usually some sort of combo you need to run while weaving dodges in between attacks occasionally. Bows? Attacks are really slow and their utility from charged attacks is hampered by the movement penalty one receives when aiming, which just invites mobs to beat the crap out of you. Honestly the only bow user I could see myself running is Yoimiya, though I have had to use Tighnari for Dendro occasionally. Yoimiya's skill increases the DPS of her normals, allowing one to use her like a Yanfei or Klee, while bow users like Tighnari and Ganyu have the double charge for additional burst per shot, which is nice, but doesn't really do much as far as bow gameplay goes. Maybe I'm just dumb for not understanding it, I mean I clearly rather do swords only over using a bow if I had the choice. It just feels clunky and awkward to play in an action RPG where mobility is king. Someone please explain this to me, how are you people able to run bow users like Yelan and Ganyu without getting swarmed?

Tip: Nilou's talents don't directly change the blooms, but your burst and e skill both scale off of her hp, and her burst can do quite a bit of damage if it hits multiple enemies. Leveling her talents, while not necessary, is still a damage increase

I think you should build Nilou just HP. Tenacity and new set will do . We at least want 45 - 50k the more HP the more DMG . After that build Dendro characters get em . 2 dendro and 2 hydro is the best .

Even if Kirara is not a dendro sword support, Fontaine is not far and we can hope for more dendro supports in fontaine 👀
