I was thinking of DS Yoshi Falls, but on the third lap, you drive onto the third waterfall and on a never-before-seen portion of the track. It's up to you how to design it.
Putting the Shine Gate in the middle where there's the two diverging paths is perfect! So much better than the building facades in Wii/DS. I was always kind of disappointed that Delfino Square didn't feel more like the actual city we ran around in in Sunshine, so I really like the additions and changes here!
I love how that shine gate is subtle on the first two laps, and for the third one it's fully shown because it's no longer obscured by the buildings at the alley
So many people already said this but this looks on par to something Nintendo would do, it feels like a total remake of the track where it looks like it doesn't feel awkward to drive, the level of detail is extremely high, comparable to MK8 base game and the balance between a realistic style and cartoony style on the textures of the track is perfectly balanced, you really nailed it
The backwards path is amazing. I guess Nintendo would never have done a backwards lap in the course if they remade this. And i love the design, It feels like delfino square with all the Sunshine references to. Good job on that to
@@Beneficial_Gamer Huge missed opportunity to do that with DS Mario Circuit. Mushroom Bridge could have used something like that too, if it was in the BCP.
You added SO MUCH LIFE to this track! A quick mushroom shortcut in the opening zig zags, cut out like ALL of the visually obstructing buildings and replaced the scenery with exactly what SHOULD have been there sunshine references. Opened up a lot of the track and I finally understand that this track is a beachfront track from your rendition not just a city. You gave it so much personality and I even caught the Jr. Emblems. Great work!

Giving Delfino Square its own Shine Gate is a really cool idea. It'd make sense if multiple different Pianta settlements had their own shine gates. This map puts what looks to be Corona Mountain in the background, implying it might actually be on Isle Delfino itself. However, I imagine it's actually a Town of Piantas in a different region-- due to its lack of tropical features. The autumn leaves on the deciduous trees indicate that it may be in an area with a climate that changes throughout the year. Potentially the Mushroom Kingdom? Anyway, love the design. Really cool take on the town. I'd be really interested to see how Nintendo would detail a brand new reimagining of the course.
This might be one of my favorite custom tracks! I love the original spin you put on it with all the sunshine references, daisy cruiser in the background, the backwards lap, the cafe area by the start, the dolphin fountain next to the shine sprite monument, I could go on and on and on and on! Ngl the wip video made me scared but I now understand why it looked like that. I can’t wait to see what you have next!!
I really like it how you’ve opened up the split path area to make it look more like a central area instead of a claustrophobic town area whilst still keeping its original layout the same! and of course the driving in reverse feature is a great addition for the track as well!
This is so good. It looks way better than any of the tracks from Wave 1 of the Booster Course! Great to see more people are finally pushing what is possible with custom tracks in MK8.
Holy crap, this is easily one of the best custom tracks I’ve ever seen and looks better than most of the booster course pass. Third lap was awesome and the music bopped too. Amazing job!
THIS is how you remake a track and make it feel like it fits with the game! Not just taking the OG mesh with higher res textures - but actually reimagining the scenery
Dude, that’s sick! Would probably be one of my favorite courses if this was a legit Booster Course Pass course! It’s actually pretty insane to see fan made courses have better inspiration than some of the developer designed courses in my opinion! Great work to whoever made this!
It was incredible! I was even thinking about doing a concept tour of Lisbon (the city where I live 🇵🇹) and with this Delfino square track it would be perfect. I see you put a lot of boats, looks like we're in Porto or Aveiro or Lisbon (Portugal)! PERFECT
Man, i was saying "Oh damn" the whole way through. This is how Delfino Square should be remade. Great work! Although, i would definitely miss the draw bridge going more diagonally with the boost pads. But other than that, it's amazing and a great achievement.
Yo, opening up the somewhat claustrophobic building areas with the Shine Gate and an outdoor marketplace is *class.* I like the Shadow Mario graffiti tags throughout, too.
This feels like it was pulled straight out of Tour's track design book, in that it looks like an actual official remodel of the stage rather than a lame straight port from DS or Wii. Incredible job.
I really liked the part in the alley with 2 paths, the replacement of part of a building for a patch of grass, and the "middle building" removed to make way for the characters who say "hello" and the fountain (which we see in the reverse) make this part of the race clear and pleasant, compared to the original where there were narrow buildings. Note the addition of a descent before the "choice of path" pleasant, this reduces the slope of the stairs that follow, which is in my opinion the main flaw of the original. The idea of the reverse is well found, because it allows to add the paraglider. The place where the reverse starts comes too late, but I also think that there is only either there or just after the bridge, I still prefer the current location. The only point to improve in my opinion is the decorations on the wall during this small descent; there is only this white wall, an addition of posters, sponsors or drawings would be welcome. I find this remix great, worthy of the original.

c'est dingue, la qualité et le taff sont fou. Le circuit entièrement refait, plus fidèle à l'île Delfino, le dernier tour à l'envers, des petits détails comme la tour avec le soleil ou même le dauphin en dessous... bravo
The changes you made, like the shine gate and your changes to the marketplace with the shortcut, were very impressive! This makes me sad that the course isn't in MK8 exactly like this. Plus, great use of the alternate route for the final lap making the whole place feel more alive and intricate.
This Delfino Square remake looks awesome and I love the final lap where you go backwards just like with Peach Gardens plus it would of been perfect for the BCP
I’ve played this and can I just say you did a FANTASTIC job. One thing I’d suggest for a potential future update is to make the dock path on the final lap either closed off with a pink arrow, or have a glider/boost ramp which sends players to the other side, like a reverse of the regular cut. Other than that, great job :)
Just saw this on MarioPower55's "30 Minutes of NEW Mario Kart Custom Tracks! (2024)" video, and I am astounded by how great this remake is. The new visuals are really good - particular shout-outs go to the split path now being around the Shine Gate and the addition of Corona Mountain in the background - and I love the addition of the unused road remade as a gliding section with water spouts; plus, the added glider ramp at the end of lap 3 towards the finish line is *chef's kiss*. The pier/marketplace bit is a bit more open now which is interesting, and the bridge could probably be made to tilt higher if possible; regardless, this is a fantastic recreation. It almost feels like Nintendo made this remake.
You could've told me this was an unused official track in the game and I would've believed it! I love how much more alive it looks compared to the Wii remake and the DS original (although it's understandable for DS because of its limitations at the time).
With some a bit, you could honestly make a whole cup of these amazing tracks, good work! I don't see a lot of people who nail the shading, but this is great!
I've always thought if this ever made it in the BCP, it should have some kind of backwards lap. However, how I always assumed Nintendo would do it, was, the first lap would be normal, then on the second lap, you'd do half the lap normally, then when it gets to the part where the track splits (at the shine gate), you'd basically loop around that part, then go back to the start, to start Lap 3 backwards.
this is amazing! I love all the little details to sunshine and the backwards lap is awesome! if possible, however, I would put a building or two by the shopping area as it feels a tad empty, but other than that this is awesome!
People are raving about tge multi paths, but I can't get over how much better the track feels with a lot of the buildings replaced with visually more open areas. The marketplace was such a good overhaul!
This course design was ingenious! The peach gardens-esque backwards lap was done perfectly! One critique tho: the buildings should obscure more vision in the marketplace area
Hi ! I'm french too, and I wanted to say that I'm a real fan of this remake. Too bad this race is not available in real time on MK8DX. In any case, I think everything is perfect. The reverse final lap similar to Peach Gardens is really a good idea.
GOOD music, and AMAZING mod wow nintendo needs to hire you, and ID no purpose man what a fascinating track! Side note: you should make airship fortress next or pipeline I know there are mods already covering these track but I can assure you that you can pull it off better than them!
This is so freaking good to be true WTH? Nintendo could learn more about the custom track creators, the quality of this work is almost official. I would say even better than some of the BCP tracks

bro this is better than the original for how much you changed, good job! (Delfino Plaza is one of my favorites) Also the transition to the backward lap was so good
This custom track of Delfino Square is amazing! All of the references to Sunshine, the graphics and the lap where you go backwards are amazing! You really captured the feel of Delfino Square! I guess the only nitpick I can think of is that on the DS and the Wii, it looks like it’s autumn, due to the colors of the leaves on the trees. But honestly, I’m not letting something like that blind me from how amazing this is! Keep up the amazing work!
