My new favorite AdamTheWoo 😍 vlog. You missed the best part of the Dine-In theater, the restaurant quailty food. I enjoyed the steak, shrimp and rice bowl. Check out their full dinner menu next time. Thx for all your daily vlogs!!!
HEY, ADAM THE WOO That's so dang cool Having the whole place To yourself did you feel like you we're doing something wrong Like If You had Broken in The theater and had Taking the over the whole place broken into the popcorn 🍿 machine, the soda machine and had your way with everything The candy and all you wanted of it Oh sorry Adam this is your dream not mine
I was extremely sick during the Avengers: Endgame release. By the time I was able to go out, our local theatre was in the end of the run. Unintentionally, I was the only person in the theatre for that particular showing. I must say, it was odd. I sat in my normal spot but halfway through the 3 hour movie, I got up and tried other spots, since I could. I even flipped three seats down and made myself a couch. I don't know if I'll ever have that experience again, but it was really kind of cool.
@@bullymaguire6250 no the person got sick at the time avengers endgame came out and when they weren’t sick anymore only their local theater was showing the movie so they watched it there and they were the only person in the auditorium
Awesome! For my 40th Bday Party my wife rented out a theater at our local Alamo Drafthouse and screened BttF. It was an historic occasion. “I’ll never forget it.”
My daughter and I watched a movie once in Lancaster PA in a theater all by ourselves in comfy leather laziboy chairs. It was like we had our own theater.
My favorite scene of that movie is when Marty is having trouble opening the bottle of soda. His dad/George grabs it and uses the bottle opener to open it for him. Just like a parent would.
I think the joke there was that twist-offs didn’t exist or at least weren’t common in ‘55. Marty had only ever experienced twist-offs, so he didn’t think of using a bottle opener.
Hi Adam, you see so much negative news about America these days. Your videos focus on what’s good about it. Old town America, quaint towns, nostalgia, Americana. I’ve visited America a handful of times and just when I think I don’t want to anymore, your videos and ones like it make me feel all nice and warm again! Thanks from Ireland.
We have to go back! Back to the Theater! Back in December we rented a theater to watch our favorite Star Wars film, Return of the Jedi. Such a fun experience.
It's kinda weird having the entire theater to yourself...I only ever had that happen once when I was in college, but I'll take that any day over a full theater where the only open seats are the front row.
I think it's happened to me twice in my entire life. Both times were matinees at like 9 or 10am on a Tue or Wed during the school year. If I remember correctly one was Kick-Ass and the other was Memento.
Neat to hear the back story on the poster. I know I've watched you bring that to different places to get it signed. I think your sister even sent it once. Pretty cool on having a whole theater to yourself! I know they changed the name but that will always be Mr. Pibb for me too.
One of my favorite things about working projection at the arclight Hollywood was "testing" the prints in the theater by myself to make sure it played all correctly. Something about having a whole house to yourself.......... Enjoyed watching you go through it too!!
“Biff hates manure” LOL One of my favorites, must have been a cool experience. Only one similar for me was The Matrix… opening week, first showing of the day… had the theater to myself for more than half the movie.
When our new theater opened, they offered really good restaurant type meals ( I had duck!) delivered to your seat - now they offer beer and wine but more traditional theater type snacks!
Adam, you are a fresh of good air! Been watching for years. Didn't watch for awhile busy. Went through divorce after 28 years.Im your age. Watching your videos makes me smile.🙂
Loved it. Splendid job. The time you took to put this short fun-filled vid together is well worth the cost. You have a distinct knack at this type of filming. Funny as well. Thanx for posting. Take care.
Great event. I didn't know that this service was available at AMC. You should talk to the manager of the theater and get all 3 BTTF films for a film fest. Then invite all of the vloggers in the area for the private screening.
Hack: go on Monday or Tuesday morning, the first showing of the day. You have the place to yourself and maybe one other person. Shhhhhhh!! And great parking too. Shhhhh Us senior citizens rule.
There are a few times when I loved having other respectful heater patrons with me. We saw the very first Superman movie with Christopher Reeve when it originally came out- and the whole audience stood up and cheered! That was great- only happens when the movie is newly made and great! RIP Chris- Legend!
I used to be the projectionist at a mall theater in the late 80s. I would put the movie together (they came in reels back then) the day before it was going to premiere and I would stay that night after work and watch them all by myself in the theater. This was '87-'88. All the great ones from that time period; Lethal Weapon, Die Hard, Batman, etc... Absolutely loved it.
You know Adam, AMC has an A-List Membership! Any 3 movies a week, including IMAX & DOLBY for only $20 a month ! I have this membership myself. It’s one heck of a deal 👍😎
Love this so much! Back to the Future is definitely my favorite trilogy. Going to thr theater is something I used to do several times a week and I miss it so much. I actually invested in a projector for my family to watch together to get as closet that as possible
Loved the video, thank you for being one of those people enjoying watching movies by themselves. Always is fun watching people with others like friends and family. Also, cool to see a movie with strangers and what not. Hope you have a great day and year!
Thank you Mr. Woo for the suggestion! My daughter and I are on the way to the AMC DS to procure a theater today for the showing of Back To The Future this afternoon! We added the package of eats and treats for extra enjoyment of the movie!
There's a theater in downtown Chattanooga that showed Back to the Future back around that time (I have the ticket stub at home, but I don't remember exactly when it was). I went to see it because those are my favorite movies too. My family gets irritated at me because just about every time I see them on TV I stop and watch them for at least a little while. lol I used to work at a movie theater in high school and college and it was always fun to watch movies in an empty theater. Sometimes it was a little creepy though because the theater I worked at was older. I have been in a theater a few times even since then though and it was relatively empty.
That's a really awesome experience I'm sure. That look you gave at the end of the film, that's one of those times where time stands still for you, if only for a moment. Always appreciate those moments as they don't come through very often. 👍
My birthday is on Halloween. On Halloween day in 2019 I went to see the new Halloween movie at 1pm. I was the only one in the theatre. It was quite an experience.
Woo!! Been watching for years now, since water pounding video kick offs. Love ya buddy. I love living through your tour guide style. Please keep pushing brother! God Bless!
I’ve only seen 1 movie by myself in an empty theater, it was the Special Edition of Empire Strikes Back, think it was ‘96 or ‘97. I heard this rental of theaters was something that could be done at the theaters now and that’s an great price!! The last movie I ever saw in the movie theater was Toy Story 2 at the Universal Cineplex. Got to see Adrian Zmed come out of the elevator with a blond woman with her hair disheveled in front of her face. 😉 I love the BTTF trilogy, I think I’ll do this myself, what a great idea. I miss going to the movie theater. I remember seeing the movie in the theaters in 1985. Then in 1986 went to Universal Hollywood and saw Courthouse Square on the tram tour for the first time. It was fantastic to see because it was the original sets before any of the backlot fires changed its look. I’m still upset with Universal for taking out the BTTF ride. I haven’t been to either park since it was removed.
The creator of the movie A Christmas Story has a Disney owned funny film, Ollie Hopnoodles Haven of Bliss. Also check out A Summer Story. Jean Shepherd wrote them all.
You had a theater open this past December? Wowza with covid our thesters have been closed since March of 2020 and are just now opening up with limitations.
Yes indeed, the way cool Art Deco styled movie theater in Celebration, FL is a most unique and deserves to be OPEN regularly. I would like to know better how this place can be reopened and utilized for its original purpose once again. 👍
What a fun experience. You often make me feel like I am there with you just soaking in the event. Thank you for sharing positivity. Wishing you a super week. Hugs Susan. Ps some movies just are twice as enjoyable on the big screen and no distractions- Bonus.
What a Once-in-a-Lifetime experience! To watch Back to the Future and have the WHOLE theater to yourself! BTTF is also one of my favorite films of all time and I can only imagine what a completely awesome experience it would be to see it on the big screen again in a completely empty theater. Score Big Time, Adam! 👍👍
If I could do this for a Christopher Reeve movie, as good as Superman is, my choice would be my all time favorite movie Somewhere in Time! And the price is shockingly reasonable. Probably because we all have endless streaming services at home. And got used to staying home and watching
Haha! This is one of my all time favorite movies too! I’ve list count on how many to ex I’ve see it. You are the master though! Another great vlog!👍🏻🙂❤️
Great work once again Adam, imagine what 3-D would have cost.....and if your shades was on we could have seen it lol 😆 there's no rule that says you can't record yourself reacting to it, GREAT WORK LOOKING FORWARD AS ALWAYS TO "FUTURE" VIDEOS! THE WAY OF THE WOO!
I saw BTS Bring the Soul movie in a theater by myself. Did I dance like a fool all by myself? Yes. Yes I did. And, yes, you read that correctly. BTS. Mic mic bungee.
Awesome! Two years ago I happened to be the only one in the theater for Joker at this old 1940's era movie theater in downtown Glen Ellyn, IL - which was even more fitting for that style of movie. Still is one of my favorite movie experiences, legs up on the seats, threw popcorn at the screen, could sit in different aisles; movies are meant to be a shared experience but it's fun having a theater to yourself at least once!
Adam I had that experience once by accident.....went to the movies one morning notice it was raining didn't even realize we were under a hurricane watch🤦♀️😆
I’m at universal for the opening of velocicoaster and I’m in the queue watching this video with my Adam the woo shirt and lots commented on it and said you should be unbanned.
I used to work at Jurassic Park River Adventure in 1999 when IOA had just opened. Worked there while I attended UCF. Back then Universal Orlando Resort was called Universal Studios Escape. I miss that Universal. Back to the Future the Ride, Jaws, Kongfrontation, Earthquake, Nick Studios, Hanna Barbera, Hitchcock, terminator, and Murder, she wrote.
That’s exactly what I was thinking about doing for my birthday next month! As soon as I saw that was available a bit ago I had the same exact thought, never going to be able to do this ever again! I wasn’t around just yet to see it in theaters so thinking I should do it!
Hi Adam awesome vlog. Good to hear that you rented the AMC. I like Back to the Future. This movie was ahead of its time. Glad you are enjoyed the movie👍🏻🍿
