I have had very good luck in the past using this method. If you follow my steps you can maybe ave yourself from having to replace your oil pan... At least for a while.... Some oil pans can be quite a lot of labor and engine out jobs.
My friend has the same truck as me and his pan needs to be replaced from rust. I looked at mine and realized it was almost just as bad, almost no steel left, but its not leaking yet. I cleaned it all off. Applied rust converter to it several times. Cleaned that all off. Then put a big slab of jb weld on wax paper and applied it to the entire botton of the pan and let it dry. Scraped off the wax paper, cleaned it up and smeared the jb weld around the rest of the pan. Hopefully i saved the pan. It feels sturdy and protected now.
Oh I love JB Weld. I know it's only temp but when ever I used it, it was for life lol Did you fart at 5:06 I bet that patch will outlast the rest of the pan. Great video Ken!
I was blowing on the oil pan to dry the brake cleaner….. I lowered the volume level on edit because it was too loud in camera mic and nobody needed to hear it…. It does sound like it though haha
