She’s been upstairs this whole time and got curious and left, got stuck accidentally and regretted it lol but that doesn’t mean she’s signaling she wants to be an ‘outdoor cat’ i hope its not just an excuse to let her go but in her mind, you’re her guardian and life partner!

cats can be indoor you just need to be careful not to open the doors or windows to let them out. she probably just went outside to get away from the dogs because she was shy and afraid.

Cat just being a cat. Curious. She saw another room “ outside” and went out to explore and got stuck. It’s not indoor / outdoor. To keep them safe, they should stay in. Just keep her in a big mesh play pen if you have the door open!

She might enjoy a cat patio. It’s an enclosure attached to the outside of the house and she can stay safe.

She’s an indoor cat. Even dogs can take off. Don’t leave doors opened or make sure she’s locked up first.

My cat lived his entire life as an indoor cat, but of course he wanted to go outside when the door was open... Glad to hear you're not actually planning on rehomeing her. My heart sank when you started saying that.

This makes me wonder about other stray cats that could be hiding in sewers.

Indoor cats will almost always walk out when they see an open door/window - even though it scares them so much. just keep the doors closed or you can get dog flaps that only unlock for the microchips you set up.

The dogs could've chased her, otherwise she would've came out on her own , she looked scared!

So inside cats try to get outside sometimes, it depends on the cat. That doesn’t mean they want to be an outside cat and are disposable. I hope you mean what you say about keeping her.

Sakura probably got scared of the dogs and saw an opportunity to run outside. Have to be careful when leaving the doors open when she isn't secure in a room. She hasn't really wanted to or asked you to go outside has she? From all the videos I've seen her in she's been pretty happy about being inside. This was probably that one time accidental fluke that she got outside. Good thing she answers you though when you talk to her! I've had indoor cats that have gotten outside and hunkered down and don't say a word when I'm calling them! I'm glad you found her though and she's safe back home with you!

The sigh of relief when you said you weren't actually going to rehome her. Also, just a friendly suggestion, but there are smart doggy doors that only open via chip so that can be a neat thing to look into if you're looking for the extra security while still letting your pets regain the same amount of freedom around the house. Just connect it to the microchip in your boys so you don't have to risk sakura exploring away via open door. (I saw a video of an older cat being built their own "panic room" using this smart pet door since the younger cat was too hyper. You just see the cat go in and relax while the hyper kitty pawed relentlessly from the other side. So cute).

Find the cat in the house kit: catnip in a jar that makes noise, treats bag, a liquid food that if you shake it makes noise like soups. Mine hide ALL the time Oh holy cow. Also cats don't NEED to be outdoor cats. They can get injured really easily.

I really hope you weren’t serious about rehoming your cat if she manages to get out again. Cats are very curious creatures and will roam when able to. Especially if they’ve been blocked off in one area. It’s not her fault she got out of the house. She’s had a sad life and you could give her a wonderful life. You started this journey with her because you seemed to care so much for her so if that wasn’t faked, you should finish it with her as well. You ended up with a sweet and loving cat. Be grateful!

I love the originality of escape the night and the unique plot lines and characters. I really enjoy the genuine reactions and it shows that the you tubers are human too and not just what we see on screens.

Cats are curious so if they see an open door, they will generally go to investigate. Odds are that she got curious went outside and then was scared to go back in because of the dogs or she followed like a lizard or something and got stuck inside of those tunnels. It's good to let cats outside under supervision, it lets them get the urge to go outdoors out.

I have all indoor cats and if they get a chance will sneak outside. Its just how they are and they have been indoor for all of their lives. Get her kitty grass and maybe she won't venture outside to b chew on it. I would love the escape the night switch because it would be a fun reminder of all of my RU-vid humans hanging out. :)

I’m glad she’s ok and well. I would like the switch because my sister has wanted one since they first announced them. We watched all four seasons together and loved all of them. We always have the worst luck when it comes the things like this, so I just hope our luck has turned around.

If you do feel Sakura wants to be outdoors, you could build her a little enclosure outside that goes from the window into a little run that has toys, a bed, etc. There are many ways for your cat to be able to go outside safely.

If you don't want her outside then I think you're just going to have to keep all the doors closed. She will get used to being inside, and you can even make her a catio so she has a safe outdoor area

You can also try to introduce her to the dogs so she can have the whole house, maybe collab with jaxon galaxy or the dog whisperer

And I also hope that's the end of the "should I keep her" narrative. If you really love her, you won't even think of rehoming her whatever probs u'll encounter.

Kitties belong indoors be careful to not let her get out! If you want to take her outdoors you can get an in closed play house. But if you do make sure she has flea and heart worm meds (yes kitties can get heart worms)

At one of my jobs we had a super nervous cat that lurked outside the office. Took some time of feeding her and slowly getting closer to her but I was finally able to grab her and bring her inside...she absolutely LOVES living the pampered inside cat life! If the door was left open though she would run out and go hide. It was difficult to get her back if she got out as she become so scared and nervous outside that she wouldn’t come to me even tho she would when inside. Cats are curious and if you leave the door open they will go outside. With a cat you need to keep your door shut. It’s not her fault its just their nature

My sister just moved away for college and I would love to give this to her as a present since she doesn't really have a console..she has always wanted one and I just know it would make her so happy. My favorite thing about escape the night was definitely the set and outfits, everything looked incredibly realistic so I was heckin' impressed :)

Leave a door open Joey the cat will go out. They are naturally curious. I have 7 and they are better off inside where we can keep them safe. They are naturally outside animals but to keep them safe we keep them in. Outside cats live an ever age life of maybe three years. Indoor they can live for many years. You did the right thing keeping her. Just keep her in and upstairs away from the dogs.

Growing up, i've always like mystery-themed games, movies, and whatnots... being not born with a silver spoon in my mouth, it was a struggle to get most things i really wanted, i had to worked hard for it. now in the news of being a show of the escape the night, i said wow. but then again, i wasnt able to afford the episodes but when it got aired free, i was really surprised and thrilled of the mechanics of the whole show, it was unique and i really loved the puzzles that was incorporated in the series. winning the switch would be the only thing i could have as a memorabilia of the show since i also cannot afford the board game unfortunately. i am not hoping to win it but i hope you know that someone in the Philippines adores you and this show altogether.
