People are always telling me I'm too old for figurines, but in the last few years I have found dozens of other grown men who collect police and army men!!!! It's a relief to know that I'm not abnormal. My collection is quite varied, I also have a couple of Arifix kits to do. I also have a game cube form the early 00s because I love retro stuff. I recently spent close to £300 on a package from the states, I got slapped with a large customs bill of £51.15. Or else it would have been sent back to America if I didn't pay the fee!

Would have loved to see a snap of what the old base looked like. I always love to see builds from the 70's. Orange tanks with white hatches! References were hard to come by back in the day...

well the old base wasnt all to impressive, it was just a layer of clay that my father glued sand on top, then superglued the models on it

Man, I love the video, it reminds me of my father building M46 Patton and he won't paint, after he died I did give him a favor to paint olive drab last year

I am glad you are taking some of your dads things and giving them new life and enjoyment. The glue seems to get very brittle over time, plus dust is pain, keep on fixing them and enjoying the experiance

That's how I started scale models, mainly restoring my father's like 1980s M4A1 76W (can't remember if it was Tamyia or Italeri tho)

What app or program did you use to achieve the “ Old German “ lettering in the main display name ?

I used Affinity Designer to align the Titles in different sizes, but the Font is just a free Font I got on the Internet, It is called "Blankenburg" the rest was just printed on a Epson XP-3150 Printer on standard A4 Printer Paper
