In this video I play as Byzantium in the new EU4 DLC King of Kings also known as EU4 patch 1.36. In this new DLC/patch Byzantium has got a whole rework starting with some heavy hitting debuffs and negative modifiers but it has a whole new set of ideas and a whole new mission tree which can turn the small ruins of Byzantium, on the verge of destruction, into a top world power in no time. In my run, we even formed the Roman Empire before the Age of Absolutism! We complete the ENTIRE new mission tree in this video playing in Ironman mode.
Im really excited to see what kind of craziness and cool runs other players will do with this nation after the rework. Maybe we will see a pre 1550 Roman Empire starting as Byzantium??
This is NOT a guide video; however, you can use the opening strategy used in this video in your campaign as I feel like it has a very high chance of success if executed properly. Other than that, remember to USE YOUR GIVEN RNG. Its very unlikely you will get the same RNG in this campaign (Its unlikely Ill get the same RNG too).
