Hello! In all honesty, this ride was a while ago and vibrations don't bother me much. Aside from the battering I got from the shield, the whole ride was very smooth and very comfortable on that comfort seat. Don't remember much along the lines of anything near to excessive vibrations through the bars or pegs, fingers crossed, it'll be a good ride if you're able to test ride one. 👍🙂

Ha, neutral is easy to find, I just have a bad habit of keeping the clutch in. ;)

Not a bad habit at all. Stay in first (clutch in) while checking your mirrors so that you can quickly escape if needed. Neutral makes you a sitting duck if for any reason a cager fails to stop and plows into you from behind. Ride on!

Yeah, should have done a walk-around but I assure you the seat is worth the additional money. I didn't fancy pushing my luck around the corners so this was taken at a comfortable pace. Didn't get any scrapes.

One theory is air turbulence created between the rider and the screen. Adjustments can be made, or perhaps something to fill the gap like a tank bag could work... But yeah, I can see it getting really tough to deal with after an hour.

Oooo. Wouldn't be unhappy with one. But nah. :)

@@UncleRed Any MSF instructor will tell you that it is a good idea to have the bike in gear and the clutch lever pulled in while sitting at a light. Also, have some space and an escape route in case some dummy is going to rear end you. Yes, it was more wear on throw out bearings and other clutch internals on older bikes, but with new ones it really doesn't matter. I always put my old H-Ds, BMWs, and Guzzis in neutral when I pull up to a light. I sit at a slight angle if I'm behind another car and leave myself room to escape if necessary. On any of my more refined and newer bikes I still have the escape route, but I leave them in gear and at the ready... Hope that helps.

There was a lot of air hitting my helmet which caused my head to shake slightly at speed. The problem with wind shields is they move the air in a different way. This one was provided but it was not set up for someone of my size. It would need to be moved/adjusted.

Dart makes a Marlin flyscreen that is a bit more stylish for the Speedmaster.

Haha, the price is always a bit of a shame. Lovely bikes, juuust a bit pricey. Especially when you have all the extra Triumph mods on. Ouch.

@@ReturnOfWilderness It’s almost 3 years and I’m happy with my Vulcan which is incidentally manufactured in Thailand and imported into India..There’re some issues like low ground clearance and long turning radius which’re India specific issues.. But the point is there was only one other competing bike - Harley Street 750 - in its category at that time and I chose Vulcan over Street and it has been a good decision..

Tricky one. It'd be worth giving customers a choice, I think... But then there's the additional expense. I like the more aggressive look, so long as the two bikes don't look the same. :)
