I swapped out my saddle for a Corbin, which sets me 2” further back to fit my 6’5” self. I also swapped my wind screen for a Klockwerks recurve. Excellent wind protection for a tall guy, and I still see over the top rather than through the windscreen, which would really bug me. You were unaware of the capabilities and features of the Goldwing you rode, which makes your review not really very good.

Nope..no adaptive cruise. You can filter very easily…not an issue at all. Put it in Sport and use the flappy paddles in auto mode next time. Using the gear change buttons makes all the difference. I am 6ft 3” and no probs with my knees. The Wing is good for having a blast on a Sunday or for touring. Next time, drive it like a manual using the buttons whilst in Auto mode. Unfortunately, I think being 6ft 6” doesn’t help. Being tall isn’t always a good thing.

A stock screen that works for tall riders? That's a miracle! Even the highly praised NT1100 screen doesn't work for me, if only the gold wing wasn't so ridiculously heavy and expensive. Thanks for the review!

@Grashalm The Wing might be heavy on paper, but feels ridiculously light due to it's exceptionally low centre of gravity. I have owned 3 different Wings, plus BMW K1200LT and ride a BMW K1600 GTL. The Wing is by FAR the easiest in terms of "handling the weight". Once on the move, it handles much the same as a Suzuki Burgman 650 scooter, which I have also owned. Don't forget, the latest Wings have forward and reverse modes for slow manoeuvring. Being low down, shorter riders can also get both feet flat on the ground too. Finally, I have to agree, they are expensive. An early model (2018) DCT GL1800 will be roughly anywhere from £18k upwards. I don't suggest anyone buys a new one for £32k unless they are loaded or mad. Finally, it's the Goldwings 50th Anniversary next year (2025) and there is the hope Honda bring out something special. 🤞🏻 ps. I am an old man, so younger riders should have no problem handling a Wing.

@@user-io2et5bv2s Thank you for your insight. I wonder how it handles in tight curves as I understand it has a limited lean angle. It's probably not designed to take on hairpin curves. Still, very much intrigued to at least test ride it once someday.

Huge...massive ?? 85 lbs less than previous generation. I've had both. I'll take older model. However both are nice.

Bought a 2018 Wing Tour 6MT new in July of 2019. I'm 6'-3" and I dwarf the poor thing. But I've dwarfed all motorcycles since I was 10 years old. So it goes with the territory. Yeah there expensive and not worth MSRP. I got mine for $10k off so it's worth the $18k I paid. Put Show Chrome bar shims, Grip Puppies, hwy pegs and a Ultimate saddle so it's as comfy as possible. And it eats miles up like a kid eats candy be it on the twisties or interstates. They will hoon or go geezer. It's up to you and your skills. I have a MT-09 for dedicated hooning. But it's fun to see a pack of kids cutting up in the city and then the wife comes over the BT Comms and says, " get"m ". Fun to wheelie the Wing through a pack of kids two up with the gray beard waving in the wind.

Being mainly a motocross and sport bike rider, I've never ridden an automatic motorcycle. I've love to try it, but I'd imagine it'd be somewhat awkward. I guess I'll find out.

Enjoyed that, thanks. Ive got an old wing 02 for two up trips with the missus and its a nice fit for me, but im only 6'3" 😀 I'd consider a new one but i just don't think the tech is worth it. Subbed.

The Missenden Flyer loves his but guess his legs aren’t as chunky as yours. Bit strange about the size because the bike is designed and built in California where people tend to be on the big size. Stop singing you will frighten the dogs.🤪
