It's actually amazing to witness the sheer incompetence of WT's handling of coastal/naval. You can tell that they don't even bother with testing, as seen here. Makes Wargaming seem like geniuses by comparison, and that's no small feat.
Top costal "corvettes/frigates" has anti- submarine torpedos that's why the warhead and the top speed is smaller, tough some supposed to have some type of guidence system, but that's not modeled (yet) in the game.
2:09 This is the exact issue I also once reported after getting stuck. The mod who read my bug report literally just said that I got stuck on land and that it was my mistake even though it's clear that these stuck spots are nowhere near land and even then, you should be able to reverse out of it. Tho I was using a destroyer in that particular case.
I totally agree, as things are currently. There is little use for big boats when there are ships about. Only fast and agile small boat like the Pr123k are fun to use against big ships. But the rewards are pittyful
about the coastal vs bluewater, i think with a map design that gives coastal some real advantages (like areas where you can't go with big ships, rivers....), and without the auto aim for secondary/flak on bigger ships, maybe they could make that you have to give your secondary and flak gunners targets they should shoot, and if not they won't shoot at all, Coastal and Bluwater fleet could stay in the same gamemode. And i hope we will see subs soon, there are so many sub hunters in coatal tech tree, if they make a good mode where you only have to hunt subs and won't get killed by othere ships it could be very cool.
I agree man. Blue and coastal should have separation. I haven't played much of naval and it's mainly because I want to ease into it using an event coastal vessel but immediately get smacked by a destroyer. Kills the motivation to play it
What a great idea Gaijin had when they decided to mix coastal and high sea fleet battles. Coastal fleet battles were fun before, but now it's dead; there is literally no one playing it.
It would be awesome if you played AA in naval battles! Either the SF40 Heavy Barge, or either of the Russian or German boats with SAMs! Keep up the amazing vids!

I recently got USS Dealey and the P-494 Saetta :) I also got USS Arizona and spaded my Alaska/Mississippi. See you in enduring conflict! Also, I think you might be right about the separation between coastal/bluewater. However, it does worry me because some ships really do excel at hunting destroyers with torpedoes. For example, the PT-810 and MC-490 are better suited to use their torps to hunt big, slow targets. Maybe you can still queue up for combined battles if you have coastal and bluewater on your lineup?
4.3 Russian coastal is really a glimpse of what is hopefully coming in the mode. All the other modes have modern stuff and when it’s evenly matched high tier coastal is much more fun than arb at least
Well the separation of coastal and blue water would be catastrophic in my opinion, different objectives defined maps ( aka better) and more game modes would solve a ton of problems and ofc decompression
there was a battlepass challenge telling me to get 20k score points with battlepass vehicles, so I played the 3.0 flagstaff boat on arcade. It was terrible. I spawned at 130km/h (Maybe it's an arcade thing to spawn at flk speed) with an island in front of me 2 meters away from spawn most of the matches and I couldnt stop or avoid it. Luckly, the 20k score points could be farmed with other ships (as long as I used the flagstaff in that match), so the 3.3 reserve destroyers made like 90% of the points needed. It's really painful to research coastal vessels
Dude, the Japanese PG-02 absolutely demolished any semblance of a player base. Imagine adding a hydrofoil with a fucking rotary gun to coastal gameplay. Against wood hull ships.
I think their long term plans will even the playing field. Missile boats are already a thing, and submarines would increase coastal utility duty. On another note gaijin needs to unlock the EXOCET and get some proper anti ship missiles in the game.
2 tornados ripped through the small city I live near and whacked the grid for a while. Been worried sick because of the heat and humidity for my chinchilla and other pets, finally got the power on about 45 ish minutes ago, took a shower, cooled everyone off and got something to eat for the first time in a day or so since just to come back in time to a Dollar video. Good way to end the night before bed.
As an ex-WoWS alpha tester I don't ever need a lead indicator, or a rangefinder on any ship in WT. Just a few test runs to get familiar with the main gun. So I'm the source of lot of suffering in naval.
The biggest problem with mixed naval and coastal is they assume that you will either have enough coastal players spawning in or you will have a coastal vessel capable of doing something to bluewater. And neither is actually guaranteed to happen once you get past around 3.7~ and the bluewater ships stop being destroyers with open turrets and paper mache bridges.
I agree, coastal and bluewater should be separate games unless costal carried into your bluewater game. If they were i could actually get my friends to play costal because its a lot more fun to me than blue water, even though bluewater the ships are massive and so cool
Добро пожаловать в мир кораблей , в морских большую роль играет экипаж и нужно внимательно следить за состоянием корабля во время боя и или ставить ремонт , тушение пожара и борьбу с затоплением в автоматический режим либо вовремя их использовать ,так же роль играет на какую глубину выставлены торпеды , 4 метро хорошо против больших кораблей а 1 метр против малого флота но так как по маленькому катеру попасть торпедой почти не реально у меня всегда стоит на 4 метра , попробуй у советов СКР 7 полковой , это самый прикольный корабль в тундре особенно если научишься стрелять ракетами
I like the idéa, but if they were to do something like that, then they should also decompress the higher br's for coastal seeing as a lot of those boats get's "balanced" by the bluewaters

Naval Devs are probably all sitting on fixing up U Boats so they can be released, but maybe they rework the matchmaking with the release? I m still hoping we get a true mixed gamemode one day, with ships meeting tanks and helis as well. Unbalanced as fuck, but probably fun (and faster q times for naval players lol) as a temporary gamemode
Amazing video ❤. Gaijin really need to fix naval man so many different bugs and stuff been going on recently and a ton of old bugs also still haven't been fixed. Also I think they really need to work on some sort of new game mode for naval like a convoy escort one kind of like how it was in the submarine event
