The fact SIL has the nerve to stay with a person like Ryan is beyond me, man is just waiting so he can get his hands on the sweet inheritance, but I bet the FIL would do everything in his power so that they never see a penny of that money.

There's gamers and then there's "gamers." The former are fine. The latter are the ones who make gaming their only focused activity in life, and unless you're charismatic and a popular streamer to make money from it (at which point you're not only focused on gaming, but also on entertaining, btw), then it's nothing but an unsustainable time and money sink that helps no one. Those "gamers" take advantage of the good nature and kindness of those around them to support their addiction, and they're essentially no different from other kinds of addicts. My guess would be that Ryan was the second kind, the "gamer."
S1 - I have no sympathy for OP because she did it all to herself. She understood how toxic Ryan was and stayed with him. She had the means to leave but didn’t.
@@user-fe8gx3ie5v what she means is that he's not making money off it. he's using games to waste time. being a gamer is not bad if you have a trust fund, or if you're able to successfully monetise it. she means that he wastes time, and gaming is one of his ways to do it. hope that clears things up.
