Welcome to Geoff and his 5 octave vocal range. Of which he was only using about 3.5 octaves of it in this song. This was nowhere near as low or as high as he can go.
@@82gamerprincess31 The 5th one in Don't Mess Around with Jim is Daryl. The others here are Geoff, Jeff, Goeff and Joff (or at least something close to that.)
They're all Geoff!!! You reacted to Geoff's song "monster mash" and you didn't realize that all vocals were his. he can sing bass, baritone and tenor perfectly.
Videos like this makes me glad I started my Geoff Journey with 16 Tons. It gave me a chance to see what he could do without giving him a chance to fool me
Take heart that you're not the only reactor (not even close!) who didn't realize that ALL of the singers were Geoff. I'm guessing that you haven't seen his cover of Far Over the Misty Mountains Cold, since that has the same 4 dwarves singing it and is from the first Hobbit movie, An Unexpected Journey.
"The four of them" are... Geoff, Geoff, Geoff and, well, Geoff. 🙂 In all of his videos (but one), all the people you see are him and all the voices you hear are his. Ad yes, he has this ability to "choreograph" the movement of any of his "clones" in a way that Mae them seem to ACTUALLY interact as if they were four (or sometimes five) people, which many times tricks people (and reactors...) to think they are four or five. 🙂 BTW, his clones have NAMES. They are Geoph Goff, Jeff, and Daryl 😉. According to Geoff, his recent video called "Unshaken" does not feature him: he said that he left his clones unsupervised and they came out with that video 😂😅. BTW, it's absolutely beautiful, and at the end, after the end of the song, you get a glimpse of some BTS, including the computer screen from which his wife ad production manager manages all the cameras. 🙂 He made another video from "The Hobbit", from the first movie "An unexpected journey", which was released about two years before this one, titled "Far over the Misty Mountains cold". Same Dwarves, different location, different structure of the song (way more bass-oriented). Very worth a watch 🙂. BTW, left to right in this video, the Dwarves are Thorin Oakenshield, Kili, Fili and Bofur, and I still remember when I saw "Misty Mountains" for the first time I thought that his "impression" of Thorin is stunning. 🙂 See you next time!
Yes! This was awesome, one of my favourites - This captured the mood so well, even better than the original (although Ed Sheeran's lyrics are superb!). If this is your first taste of Geoff, not surprised you got fooled! 😂Check out the credits below the original video - he does almost all of it himself, with the assistance of his wife Kathy (she is Production Manager for Geoff and Voiceplay!) - his VP colleague, Eli, programmed the lighting beforehand as he couldn't be there on the day, so it was just Geoff, Kathy and Rick Underwood (makeup/beard wrangler extraordinaire) in the studio! 😊
Nothing better than four Geoffs except Five Geoffs. Like his new release You Don't Mess Around With Jim. Reactors need to learn to read the video credits.
I was actually thinking "wait, did Geoff just get another one?" 😂 Yes, groups like these are awesome, especially if those groups are Geoff Castellucci 😁 Loved your reaction by the way ❤
Geoff's covers are always magical, not to mention his costuming. For a cover of this song that's more metal, the German folk metal band Feuerschwanz covered it in 2020.
I really enjoy watching reaction videos of Geoff. Yours was a good reaction video. I would have loved to see your reaction when you found out that they are all Geoff.
This is Geoff Castellucci in this video. There isn't another person in this video. He made 4 different takes of himself and combined them together using different costumes and makeup.
Hey Ash, check some of his other collaborations with himself: "You Don't Mess Around With Jim", "16 Tons", "Ghost Riders in the Sky", "Misty Mountains Cold",
Awesome Reaction Video Ash Happy Friday hope you have a great weekend my friend You're the best and I love you so so much 🖤🖤🖤🖤🖤🖤🖤🖤🖤🖤🖤🖤🖤🖤🖤🖤🖤🖤🖤🖤🖤🖤🖤🖤🖤🖤🖤🖤🖤🖤🖤🖤🖤🖤🖤🖤
If you like this one, you should listen to Geoff with his cover to Black Bird from the Beatles. The Video isn't so spectacular, but the sound will blow your mind. And by the way, it's only him with himself in various registers 😉
as much as i like this song, i try to find myself remembering if the lyrics at the start were Tolkien or Ed... if the latter, why, oh why, didn't he use 'Durin's Folk' to compliment the previous line's 'Fire and smoke' ... a minor peeve yes, but still.
Yeah, but when Geoff turns into his super hero alias he doesn't just go to the nearest phone booth to take his glasses off, and change into tight spandex 😁
You've seen him do Monster Mash already!! Therefore, you already know he does videos where he sings all the parts! 😂 Now go watch Misty Mountains Cold which is the predecessor of this one... Remember... if you are watching ANY Geoff Castellucci song, its ALL HIM unless its a Voiceplay song... 😊
In case no one mentioned it, that's also him on the piano. The rest of the instrumentation is also him using his keyboard and plug ins. One of my favorite cinematic techniques that he uses is the interaction between the Geoffs. They look at each other, react to each other, and it's only one extremely talented man doing it all. You will love Voiceplay's The Dragonborn Comes/Skyrim, even if you aren't a gamer. It has the same feel to it. Trust me.
Yes, when Geoff does his covers, he's the only performer. It could be one Geoff or multiples up to seven; so far. He has another Hobbit cover too; Far Over the Misty Mountains Cold. Very similar in costume. Enjoy!
Layne joined him for "Saddle Up" but now I'm second-guessing whether he actually did anything other than be in the video and talk at the end. Now I gotta go watch that one again.
Lmao. Suprise Suprise. They are all him. He did over the misty mountains cold withe the same costumes. That was the prequel to this video. You should totally check it out. House of the rising sun, shanendoah, 16 tons to name a few are a bunch of him without the costume. He is part of sn acapella group called voiceplay. Check out the dragonborn comes for more medieval fun. Epic does not come close to describing it.
One thing that impresses me about this one, that nobody ever talk about is that the lighting is perfectly synchronized as well as the voices, considering that these all had to be filmed in multiple takes. The lighting looks the same on all the Geoffs.
You said you like the LotR / Hobbit style music. Might is suggest you listen to 'Far over the Misty Mountains Cold' also by Geoff. Same cast of characters.
I've heard Geoff's voice described as "honey poured over thunder" (though I am given to understand that was originally said of another artist whose name I don't recall.)
Awesome Reaction Video Ash Happy friday hope You're doing well my friend hope you have a great weekend my friend You're the best and I love you so so much your hair looks absolutely gorgeous 🖤🖤🖤🖤🖤🖤🖤🖤🖤🖤🖤🖤🖤🖤🖤🖤🖤🖤🖤🖤🖤🖤🖤🖤🖤🖤
This beautiful voiced ANGEL has inspired me to sing, specifically because of this song. Another great song of his that I love, is Jack's Lament, because he does show his variety more there.
