My 75 Y/o grandmother used to move both her spare mattresses onto the stairs to make mattress stairs. We used to play a game called alligators and monkeys. The alligators would have to crawl up and grab the monkeys dangling feet to pull them down. If you get pulled down you also become an alligator. Thanks for the memory I haven’t thought about that in forever 😊
@@TheFarmhouseMom I do, lost her to cancer and dementia when I was six. But the memories of her are still very strong, I carry a picture of her when she was young and in the military in my wallet. Everyone says I look just like her and it makes me so proud.
Me too!! And when I saw the ‘always see them on FB marketplace’ I was screaming in my head ‘if you buy them PLEASE disinfect them like five times first!!!’
used to work at a nursery that had these and the kids did indeed love them! not sure if they’re worth $600, but if there are dupes for cheap i’d def recommend! very cozy to movie watch on or to build with
Haha seeing you guys slide down reminded me when my siblings and I were growing up we used to put the dirty laundry at the bottom of the stairs and just jump from the top 🤣🤣 totally gave my mom a heart attack and never got injured by the grace of God but that was some good stuff.
All of my family gathered at my grandma's in the new years and old people in my country back then had some traditional hard backrests instead of couches. Like they sat on the floor against them. Some people still have them for tradition. Yeah me and my cousins used to gather all of those and stack them up to make a slide. We put a mattress on it and played with them for hours. One time my brother threw a pillow at me when I was sliding. I hit the floor and broke my arm.
@pool8party it's called "costzon kids convertible couch" I paid $130 for mine but it's on sale right now for $115. I actually got 2 sets and they get used daily.
This genuinely filled me up with joy. I remember playing with my mother as a child, having similar little activities were the best. You are an amazing mother. Keep it up ❤️
when I was a kid me and my siblings would pile pillows at the bottom of the stairs, hop in a sleeping bag and slide down, it's so good to see kids still being kids
Yeah this is so nice. Man my neighbours offspring arent even kids anymore. Their five year old works as a CEO at the local bank. Dude wears a suit and gets up earlier than me! And their 3 yr old daughter teaches trigonometry at the University 30 mins away!! Can you believe it? A girl teaching math? She is real eco aware too, takes the bus to and from work. Crazy man. I d4ont even think they've ever played in a sandbox.
Haha we did this but had a foam snowboard or waterboard (idk what it was for really) that we'd put inside so that the stairs were less uncomfortable going down
These are amazing!! I love how this product lets the kids play in the home safely and be creative while doing so. The slide looks really fun, and as a kid who lived in a house with stairs, every kid wants to slide down the stairs at least once. These are def a good buy on your end ❤
@@morgankunzie yeah my kids loved the nuggets at my friends house. But they do the same kind of play at home with our couch cushions they love playing with those and making forts/houses etc I’m sure these hold better and bigger kids might notice but 2-4 year olds wouldn’t notice
most people dont have enough couch cushions to make that work. if their couch cushions are even able to be seperated- mine arent. I also know as a child, my mother would not have ever let me do it with our 1k couch, possibly stretching, tearing, or dirtying the cushions faster. The knock off and the nugget are valid forms of play, just because one thing some people already have can work, doesnt mean it will work for everyone. im glad it works for you.
@@kitkatherine23 this comment is funny bc it highlights my point: instead of using what’s available (1k sofa cushions even if just 2-3 cushions) people are more willing to spend another 600 for…foldable mattresses just because it’s viral. I understand your cushions don’t separate but also like this is completely a luxury buy either way. Kids don’t actually need to play with any type of cushions. forts and house can also be made by putting a blanket over 2 dining chairs. I’m just pointing out every one doesn’t need it and it’s so hyped up at the end of the day. In 10 years land fills are going to be absolutely filled with these
😂I love it! A great burn out! Children in the ghetto need this too. You also seem to have boys, yeah get the burn out started. Definitely buying for my daughter 😁
Reminds me of the play areas we built when I worked at a children's gym! Every week would have a rotation assigned, and it was really cool to see what the company came up with!
Loveeeeee! How fun of a mom are you that you let them slide down the stairs and do it with them. A lot of times kids get in trouble for doing this but you made it a fun activity y'all can do together. 🥳🎊🌞😄
I love how not only do you cater to their enjoyment but you also enjoy stuff with your kiddos. So many parents buy stuff for their kids to try and occupy their minds without engaging with them along with the toys. It’s awesome seeing a parents so engaged in their children’s play time.
Love these couches. Also love the rest of your sensory equipment. I work for fun and Function and this is what we sell. Love seeing the items in action.
Ah dude I have cerebral palsy and literally had these 29 years ago as a baby to like 15 for pt! We had fun lol cool to see them back! Reminds me of pt and discovery zone
Wahoo... "RU-vid" commented in "RU-vid video" in "RU-vid" and I saw this in "RU-vid" and commented in that "RU-vid video "by seeing that in " RU-vid"😵💫😵
I vividly remember playing with my sisters, not as safely as this on the stairs lol. They were wearing my mums wedding dress , i wrapped them in our bed blankets , piled all the cushions on the stairs and pushed them down 😂😂. Nobody got hurt. Mum came in the front door to see one sister flying downthe stairs in a ball of blankets. She screamed from the shock , then burst out laughing when she realised my sis was wearing her wedding dress 😂😂.
I work in before and after school daycare for kindergartners and elementary schoolers. Pretty much all our locations have these kinds of things and the kids absolutely LOVE them! Definitely want to buy them for my future children!
Honestly, while I can't say much about the cost (this feels a little expensive with the price tags I have in mind for generic foldable mattresses - but I'm not familiar with this product and there're worse ways to spend money) but I really enjoy seeing other parents share ideas like this to keep active. Especially thinking back about how some of us were raised (put the TV on and hope the kids stay quiet, active toys, especially if raised in an apartment in the city, include a hula hoop at best) stuff like this makes me incredibly happy. Of course, not every parent has the time to monitor their kids playing on furniture like this every day of the week. But giving kids so much freedom to be active and moving the way you do on top of allowing them to be creative by coming up with different formations? That's not just fun now, that's a major win for their future.
