(Long story incoming) As a young girl (15) that has been stalked around the age of 10-13, it is NOT fun. Instead of it being someone formally in my life, though, it was a complete stranger that met me on the side of the street. Dude was old (I'd say he looked late 60 - early 70) and already weird. As I was walking past him (he was in the middle of the street) he literally jumped at me and scared the life out of me. I guess that was him testing if I were fragile enough to be his victim (he sought me out instead of my mother and sister whom were right beside me). For years he just followed and watched me. Followed me onto busses (even when I was with family), to restaurants (he was caught and scared away by a family friend that caught him staring at my butt.. I was in school shorts :/), and I even found out that he coincidentally lived in the same apartment building as my aunt, just by the playground. It horrifies me to think that he maybe had been scoping me out for years. On days he'd sit there watching us kids playing in his window. This went on three years until he suddenly started looking sickly and sitting in front of stores (still following me somehow??). Now I suspect he died. RIP, but good riddance. So yeah, it's scary, not knowing whether your stalker wants to harm you or just.. look? He always had a knife on him so I was so sure he was waiting to kill me. P.S., I do live somewhere where I'm preyed on almost every time I go out of the house. So many men have told me I looked "older than my age" as a compliment and a guy has even told me that he'd WAIT for me to turn 18. Yeah..
