WHY DONT MODERN METALCORE SONGS HAVE THIS LEVEL OF COMPOSITION. Seriously, every song has the same formula now, it's ridiculous. Intro, verse, chorus, verse, chorus, bridge, chorus x2... This song? A different section ever phrase. Even repeated phrases have variations in the melody each time. This genre peaked and hasn't recovered because artists are trying too hard to move it from the margin to the center, making it homogenous and bland. The magic of this genre was the surprisingly complex musicality and song writing genius disguised in a thick layer of tongue-in-cheek bullshit lyrics.
