That’s a nice narrative, but that’s one sample is almost never representative of the trend. Edit: This comment seems to be getting a bit of hate so I thought I’d explain myself. I disagree with the notion that he has had this character change. Levi admits he panics sometimes (which is human) in chess, he said this in his last video. 9:39 is when he ‘panicked’ in this game (he didn’t panic, however, he was flustered). This is to show that he is not as confident as the comment claims. Levy claimed to have ‘panicked’ twice in the video beforehand and has acknowledged he was flustered as well. If I offended you or Levy, I apologize. The point of this comment was to assert that he hasn’t had some big ‘character change’, it was not meant to demean Levy in any way. In fact the very first thing I acknowledged was that *he is improving*. I don’t think he changed his personality that much apart from his continued playing and studying of positions. My opinion comes from watching other videos analyzing the game, not Levy’s, so if you feel annoyed at me to write I comment, please watch an assessment on one of his games from another source. My point was to stop saying stuff that doesn’t affect the game, as a psych minor, I feel I have experienced the phenomena enough to dislike it strongly. If you disagree, that’s ok 👍. I urge you not to degenerate yourself to making assumptions about another person over words on a comment on RU-vid (of all places), but you are your own person. I may have misconstrued my point based on how others interpreted it and for that I can and do apologize for any language that alluded to my tone, anybody’s opinion, or anything else. If you have a point and would genuinely like to discuss or share your perspective with me, I would be happy to do discuss with you. I am only a Class D player in 1 min and Class C in 10, so I could have gotten lost in the ‘chess’. Thanks for reading and take care, I hope this gives you a better understanding of what I meant. Completely agree. I'm a former 1900 long retired and the recaps and breakdowns are honestly almost entirely what is returning my interest to the game. I'm long past my chess prime but small nudges push me into understanding without feeling like I've lost my ability, and without feeling patronised. Granted this one was particularly messy but the way it was presented made that part of the narrative - we were confused along with him. I came for the cheater content but I've stayed for the breakdowns.
