The final test for the new jump shots I posted last week is here! Not only am I shooting nearly 80 percent from 3 with just an 86 3 ball, but my subscribers are loving it as well!!
I’ve used the Tmac base most of 2k24 & shoot 83% city & 71% rec on 3pts. After watching your first video on the kpjr base I started using that on my 6’6 and there is no way I can go back to Tmac now. I changed the release to Kobe 48 / Troy brown 52 as that visual cue suits me better. Going to transition my 6’8’s to the jumper next. 🔥🔥🔥 base. Much appreciated
Yo great comment unfortunately Kobe/Troy doesn't translate that well to 6'8s for releases, a little bit too slow from what I remember. I think I went Oscar Bey or somethin
@@ThinkingCap_ thanks for the heads up. I normally don’t run a new jumpshot / releases until I have it down in practice, but that will save me some time. I run George Niang 35 / brown jr 65 on my 6’8 currently so probably go from there. Probably have to change the niang because of the release height on kpjr though
@@ishDelaish I might have my priorities wrong but I always try to max release height + speed and third place is defensive immunity , my biggest gripe with Tmac is I could never get the speed to an a+ and release height to an A+ at the same time
@@ThinkingCap_ naw, I don’t think your priorities are wrong. Those are the two main things I look for in a jumpshot also. My big man jumpshot has a D immunity, and I still hit plenty of contested shots with it. Timing stability is completely worthless since the patch early in the game.
Thanks Chef! Tweaking this to 85/15 korver kobe on my 6’8 for a little higher defensive immunity and a better cue + I think green window. Loving it in practice
Favorite 2K channel right here! There's only 3 months left of this game, I think it'd be a cool idea for you to do a sudden shift and make a 6'10/6'11 Giannis build with high standing/driving dunk and just expose how easy it is to dominate with the dunking stick!
@@KevinCruz016 I made a 6'10 today (took my own advice lol) and I'm having way too much fun with it. 90 standing dunk is unbelievable especially with an 83 offensive board... It takes very little skill and it's surprising how many attribute points you get to play with at that height!
@@Bferrell15 SF! 7'7 wings 203 lbs, 84/76/80 shooting, 60/80 90/90/25 finishing, 66/82/81/78/83/70 defense, 78/70/74/78/96 physicals and then 75 ball handle and 70 speed with ball with minimized passing (the only weakness but I mean get good passing is easy this year)

Another banger from the chef right here I wanted to ask you something about the 6’4 jumpshot, I’m having trouble finding a visual queue for it on both release and push For you when in the shooting motion do you release the shot button and what shot timing visual queue do you use?
Hey man, yeah shifting jump shot bases can be tricky, but I'm sure you'll get it in no time! But if it doesn't work for you just feel free to find something that does! But I got it on Push, and I release the shot button at the point where the ball is right just at the forehead level. But it's been a while, so I might have to review this. But for both the Kyrie base and MPJ base I have it on push.
Have not tested out those other bases, but one thing I like about this base is that you're able to set your feet quickly with minimal dip. So other than being a fast jumper, you get more consistent catch and shoot or jumpers out of dribble combos for example. But it's all playstyle dependent, and it isn't the only base that has those properties. But this works for me!
I’m sure you addressed it in a video somewhere but what are your camera settings? Somehow they’re lower than 2K but the whole floor is so easily visible

I quit 2K around when Dame was on the cover and this year my friends told me about the pro play system and it being something I’d probably like as someone who’s always been a more sim player, I found your vids and they got me grinding 2K like it’s Summer ‘16 again. Of course I put them onto the sauce. Appreciate the content you put out 🙌🏻

@kevincruz I have a really good jumper if you wanna try it. This is set for push and for 6’7” - 6’10” height. It’s Kobe base, Strawther R1, Kobe R2, 50/50, and full speed. If you have a player 6’6”, have the speed one less than full speed. Let me know what you think.
I have not really tried too many bases, but I will say just go with the base that works for you! I bet if I played around a little bit more, I can end up with a similar jumper under a different base. But the MPJ base and Kyrie base have been a revelation for me!
I actually shoot fine with it! All my builds using T Mac shoot over 60 from the field and 3, I just feel like this new base gives me more time make reads out of shot creation opportunities
