It took me 20 minutes to install this driveshaft on my 2019 STI on jack stands in my garage. I've been running this driveshaft for over a year. You will experience some weirdness at low rpm's when you decelerate as the driveshaft doesn't have the same rotational mass as the flywheel.
@@JoeyMontalto I switched to the DM-2 on my WRX transmission, and it was amazing. After trying the stock STI shifter and finding it too vague, I went straight to the DM-1 v2. It's excellent-very accurate, stiff, and reassuring. It takes a bit to get used to, and while I currently have the self-centering mechanism installed, I’m considering trying it without. It enhances the driving experience but adds some extra shifting effort that I haven't fully adjusted to even after driving for a while.
What did your tuner put the gas cutoff at? It looks like you revving to 7k. Do you think that will be an issue on this engine revving so far past redline?
