From Jim's live show at the Half Moon in Putney 2015. The only acoustic live filming ever taken of I Should Have Known Better. Voice, Guitars, No Tricks, As It Happens. Filmed by Nick Nosh.
@@tonyska Thanks Tony. I don't mean it in any arrogant sense, but I never tire of people saying how much they appreciated Dads talents. All the best to you for 2021 pal.
@@ljdmanxfella5793 Thanks mate and the same to you. It's not arrogance to love hearing people talk about one of your parents who are no longer with you. Any of us who have lost our parents, know that feeling well.
2015, this is from the year he died. So so sad, never forget all these beautiful songs from the best time of my life. The 80`s, never will forget this time.
I feel you completely. I'm 43, a singer of 20+ years and have always loved this song since I was a kid . He really felt it here, how he didn't crack and cry, I'll never know...I sure did :)
Every time I see this song played live it always makes me think how much it must have meant to him, he always looks as if he's going to cry playing it live
You see all that disposable hyped up rubbish on the X Factor and the like and then in another universe is someone with more charisma, feeling and conviction in their little finger than the whole lot of them put together. Truly jaw dropping performance from a very very talented man. RIP JD
Dam this man had so much emotion in his voice...what a voice.... this is one of the few songs that I have spent listening to the most in life.. and been doing that this week.. I am reading that he has passed.... Awwwww man .. what a voice and what a sad sad loss... and this version is absolutely fkin brilliant.. sorry for swearing ...OMG but he lives with everyone of us that this song means a lot too!
wow you can see and hear the emotion in this version this is the best regret song ever written in my opinion, RIP Jim Diamond you will never be forgotten
Pure talent this gentleman had and the music industry is at a huge loss since his passing. Thank you jim for all the lovely music you shared with us over the years and for gracing our stages with your talent 👤🎤🎹 RIP GENTLEMAN JIM 🙏
He really lures you into thinking he couldn't hit those notes anymore then BOOM !!! Just blows the roof off , without a doubt the best version of this song by a mile .
Awesome artist! I am confident that his music will grow and stand the test of time. A loss to all but my deepest sympathy to his family. Rest in peace Jim Diamond
I cried a lot to see this video, it was a serious reflection of the importance of music is your feelings in our lives and also the action of time on us ... R.I.P Jim Diamond thanks for add and vídeo
I miss my old Aberdeen mate , our days there u played in pleasance in the pub Then we came to your mums in Glasgow then on to London in the 70 s seems A million years ago now , rest easy Jim see u soon
Me too, on three occasions when he played local gigs in Surrey U. K. On each occasion he performed brilliantly accompanied as in this video by Ronnie Johnson. He always met, chatted with and signed cd's etc for those who remained behind at the end. He was a quiet and humble man and a pleasure to listen to performing. He also toured with Snake Davis but sadly I didn't get to see what must have been a fantastic combination. His passing was a sad loss to music and to the children's charities that he keenly supported and assisted with funding. A true gentleman R. I. P Jim.
I remember your great song in a magical times i was young and in love. Your song played on my Cd radio on Repeat mode more and more. Thank you for beautiful moments, thank you for a beautiful songs, thank you very much, i iii iiiiii love you, iiii iiiiii love you.❤
Saudades a vida é isso, um sopro, um vento, passa, quando vemos anos, decadas, estamos indo, ficaram aqui muitos e partiremos, obrigado Deus por viver todo este momento unicos......
Jesus, I was a child when I saw Jim perform this song on Top of the Pops in the 80's (I dunno maybe 12/14 years old?). I didnt have the emotional equipment at the time to thouroughly appreciate his performance. Today as a much older man I'm both ripped apart and blown away! :) Thank you James!

I was and remain a big fan of Ph.D and Jim's solo work and was fortunate to be at the Half Moon gig on 24th March 2015, sadly just a few months prior to his death. Such passion, what a voice and great talent lost.
