I broke an arm on mine on the first flight (crux35 frame) and the vtx on the second. (Antenna pulled out on crash and vtx got toasted.) But that's part of the fun 😅

I just watched your video and ouch! Maybe you should consider building a proper FPV drone with the DJI Air system if you're looking for freestyle (Works with your DJI goggles) instead of repairing the DJI FPV. The DJI FPV is a capable drone but very easy to break and expensive to repair. With a self built 5" FPV drone,it won't be just cheaper but it breaks much harder and you can just buy the parts and repair it yourself. Not to mention they have a much better performance. Of course the ease of use is a different matter with a very steep learning curve if you're not familiar with electronics and computers but it's definitely something you should look into as i can tell from your flight you're interested in freestyle.

I use bind phrase. So no need to bind manually. JB has a good tutorial on it, I'd definitely recommend doing it,makes life a lot easier.

It's not just look,i also muted that part of the video as i immediately started throwing f bombs

Dude, use the binding phrase binding, it is sooo easy, there is no reason not to. You will never need a bind button. Takes like 2 minutes to set it up on your radio and receiver. You can do it through wifi.

Well you have to mount it somehow. It comes with a mount which i use on my cinewhoop. If you have a gopro mount on your drone,the caddx walnut mount is compatible with it

@@b2fpv Thanks for the reply. I do have a gopro mount, didnt notice you didnt. Sucks about all the mud, that happened to me on my first flight. I never bothered cleaning it though because I knew I would just crash it and get it dirty again.

I`m flying 250hz 25mW on the ELRS. the caddx walnut camera is really good for it`s price but has it`s shortcomings. if you can afford a dji action 2 it`s a much better alternative for not even twice the price. the caddx walnut doesn`t have a true flat profile so what i do is i have my contrast set to 0 and this makes it easier to edit in post. also the white balance is always on auto,there`s a setting in the menu for WB but whatever you set it to,it jumps back to auto. So every time i use this camera i have to correct the white balance in post as well as setting a contrast that i like. the dynamic range is also very narrow. i use "color curves" plugin in Sony Vegas trying to make it wider but it doesn`t always end up in a good result. the battery died after a couple of months now i have to run it with drawing power from the FC otherwise it lasts like a minute. if you need a more compact camera than a gopro i`d say go for the DJI action 2, if you`re really on the budget the caddx walnut is a somewhat viable option.
