It's not a "rap" in between - it is called "Chhand" - 100s of years old Gujarati folk tradition of singing particular type of poem or rhyming words. Everything Indian is ancient. Exceptional song this is of course...

Hey Guys! I am a Gujarati and Gujarati is my native language. In Gujarati, if you want to greet someone, you say "Kem Chho?", meaning "How are you?"; to which the answer would be "Majaa Ma", meaning "In joy/In bliss/Awesome". Let me know if you want to know anything more in Gujarati.
