The reason the effect happens is because of floating point precision inaccuracy. Essentially, the computer calculates where in a 3D space the points of the model should be rendered. The further away from the origin of the map, or apparently when extremely tiny, this can become inaccurate and cause the weird effects. That’s as much as I know, might be slightly wrong, look it up if you want more detail on how floating point numbers work and why they are slightly inaccurate.
this effect is called tesselation, i think. it makes the rendering quality of a model wors on the distance. you made the npcs small, and i think they became too far from you, so the quality of rendering reduced
No it has to do with floating point precision after some distances there isn't enough definition in the numbers used to define the model that it can't properly be rendered
Can you do some portal stuff or Half-Life Tools mod? It’s really cool. You can make custom loot crates, spawn headcrab canisters manually and make functional thumpers! Don’t get Half-Life Tools Extras because it’s made by a different person and it’s dumb. Bye keep up the good work dude.
