THANK YOU for informing others about extended rear facing!! We need more people to get the information out! My daughter rear faced till 3 and 35lbs when she hit the weight of her seat!
Having a child who was always over the 90th percentile for both height and weight is never an excuse as well. We looked and looked till he found the car seat for my son that kept him rear-facing till over 3.5 yrs when he hit the 45lbs rear-facing limit for the Diono Radian RXT. Even now at 5yrs old his still in a harness.
+Brianna Trumble I think part of the key is getting pediatricians to go with it! The AAP recommends rear facing until the minimum of age two, but so many peds still tell parents that it's perfectly okay to turn their kiddos forward facing at 1 and 20 lbs. Ugh. And the number of people who complain about kids needing to be in boosters until their around 10 is crazy too.
To Bryan- Everyday i just have to watch your (Who Knew) music vid and i LOVE IT and the lyric vid omg the lyeic vid almost made me cry 😢 Like...my eyes were watering up omg I JUST LOVE THE SONG- Who Knew We Guru Up And Out Of This Town Who Knew? And If Everyday You Told Me I Wouldn't believe You Who Knew?
+Christian Kirkwood it is not spelled correctly. It is mañana, is not manana or manyana or maniana. Paula speaks spanish like me. I think you shouldn't argue about spanish spelling with an spanish speaker if you really don't know. And you should respect his corrections as I respect when someone who speaks english corrects me (you're free to correct me, all I want is improve)
I also cracked My head in May this year and last August I cut my eyebrow open I had to get that glued as well and last augast it was the day before by birthday
The notion that 37 weeks is full term is outdated. OB-gyns have revised it to 39-40 weeks is full term. They have found that the few weeks in between 37-40 allow the brain and lungs to fully mature.
Tami Gorman Wrong. That's outdated information. Full term is 39 weeks, 0 days to 40 weeks, six days. Early term is 37 weeks, 0 days to 38 weeks, 6 days. Late term is after 41 weeks, 0 days. www.marchofdimes.org/pregnancy/what-is-full-term.aspx
+Tami Gorman Are you serious? 10 months pregnant? No, sorry. 40 weeks is 9 months, because months aren't exactly 4 weeks. Only one month out of twelve is exactly 4 weeks (February). The rest are all 30-31 days, and all of those extra 2-3 days in each month end up adding up to 28 more days (4 more weeks). What job in the medical field do you do? It's clearly not clinical. And by the way, first time mums are far far more likely to deliver after their due date rather than before.
